Currently in Germany, frustration is growing over the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic. After over a hundred days of a near total shutdown, which has brought infections down, but not enough for the crisis to be considered under control, patience is wearing thin. The vaccination drive, that kicked off at the end of December is only slowly getting ahead. But that is not entirely to blame on the government. Our DW correspondent Nicole Frölich in Berlin has more.

Partying to blame for COVID cluster
After an eight case cluster of COVID-19 cases was publicly identified in Kelowna last week, there are now seven more new cases of COVID-19 in the area served by Interior Health.
None of the cases linked to the Kelowna cluster are serious enough to call for hospitalization, but the situation has staff at Interior Health in a flurry of activity to contain it.

The number of valid UK passports fell by more than 2.5 million during the first two calendar years of the Covid-19 pandemic as people delayed applications, new analysis shows.

Washington State has closed schools for six weeks. Bars, restaurants, and public gathering places are either closed or limited to small groups. People are being asked to work from home. It would seem an ideal time to get out there and ride, but there are some things I think would should all consider very seriously before we get out there. Nothing is without risk. We should assess the risks we take carefully.
