Not everyone is ready to travel again, and not every country is welcoming travelers. But some destinations like Saint Lucia are open and are ready to welcome visitors. It is possible to travel safely if you take a few precautions at home before you fly, while on the plane and at the resort.
#travel #theplanetd

We took a COVID Test before flying and continued to social distance before our flight.
On the plane, we did not sit beside anyone, we wiped down our seats and sanitized our hands.
We never took our masks off except to eat and we social distanced.
Saint Lucia has very strict rules for travel, and we followed all protocols while on the island.

We also made sure to purchase COVID 19 Insurance before flying with Medipac travel insurance.

While we don’t recommend jumping on a plane and traveling the globe we do feel that if you are committed to traveling responsibly and are willing to take all the precautions to keep yourself and others safe, there is no reason you can’t get on a plane and have a vacation.

What it is like on the flight and at the Airport during COVID19.

Flying is a completely different experience right now. Only passengers with boarding passes are allowed in the terminal.

Temperatures are taken before boarding and since we were flying to Saint Lucia and a negative test is a requirement, we had to show our paperwork before check-in.

One the island we wore masks, had private tours, could only stay at government approved hotels, and could only take government approved transportation and tours. Everyone had training and safety protocols for Coronavirus.

When we returned home we had a mandatory 14 day quarantine and could not step foot off our property.
We checked in daily with the government and had food delivered.

Travel is possible during COVID 19 if you take all the necessary safety steps.

Almost every aspect of the flying experience has changed during the pandemic. And that includes low-cost carriers like Sun Country, the small Minnesota-based budget airline.

Flying During COVID-19: What's Changed? (And What Hasn't?)

COVID-19 has changed travel. And that means your next flight may look and feel much different than just a few years ago. That's why we captured the entire experience of flying during COVID-19, from checking in all the way to grabbing your bag after landing.

And there are far more changes in store than simply wearing a mask...

0:24 - Navigating travel restrictions
0:51 - How busy are airports?
1:25 - Checking a bag
1:59 - Getting through security
2:36 - What's open in the airport?

5:25 - Masks?
6:07 - In-flight service
6:49 - Deplaning
7:06 - Grab your bag & go
7:18 - Conclusion

The pandemic has reshaped the flying experience, with changes to how airlines board planes, scaled-back in-flight service, and even when you go through airport security. Some airlines blocked middle seats to give travelers more space onboard.

But after more than a year, millions of Americans are flying every week as travel rebounds. Now, many aspects of flying have returned to normal - or something close to it.

Tips for your first flight during (or after) coronavirus:

Flying soon? Don't assume your next flight will be empty:

Traveling During Covid 19 - What it's really like!

#covid19 #coronavirus #traveling
Traveling during the Covid 19 Pandemic is not impossible! If the proper safety precautions are taken, you can travel feeling safe and secure. We recently traveled from Sweden to Greece during Covid 19 and did not experience any issues. The airport in Gothenburg, Sweden was empty, however the airports in Stockholm and Athens were somewhat busy.

It's important to note that we were required to take a Covid 19 test at our local hospital within 48 hours of traveling, and there were random tests at the airports. It goes without saying, if you feel even slightly sick, do not travel! Remember to wear an N95 mask and to wash your hands regularly!

We had a trip booked to Greece before the outbreak of Coronvirus and could not receive a refund, so we decided to travel. We really feel bad for the airline industry and the thousands of airline workers that have lost their jobs. We will continue to travel by air when appropriate and when we can do it safely.

Flying During COVID-19 In the USA | Jet Blue | Travel Vlog

In this vlog, we fly home to Minnesota in the midst of the coronavirus to visit our friends & family after months of hunkering down in our Boston apartment.

After some research, we decided to fly Jet Blue home because they had the best price and some great safety protocols to keep people safe from COVID-19 while flying. We were very nervous about flying during the pandemic, so we wanted to be extra prepared to be on a flight with a bunch of other people. Before heading to the airport, we picked up masks, safety goggles, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes for the chairs and tray tables.

Overall, it was a really smooth experience. We were pleasantly surprised with the Jet Blue experience! If you have to travel during COVID-19 (which we wouldn’t recommend), then they are a great option for you.

Check out Jet Blue’s COVID-19 safety protocols here:

Flying to the USA during COVID-19 Pandemic (i was hella nervous)

Bringing you guys along with me on my travels is always fun but today's video is just a little different. If any of you guys are planning or hesitating to travel any time soon this video is for you! Or maybe you're just curious what the inside of an airport and airplane looks like during the times of a global pandemic.

Taking an international flight is the last thing I really should/ want to be doing during these times. However, I had bought tickets to go visit my twin brother for our 21st birthday a while back and if the opportunity was still there I was very hesitant to not take it. Needless to say I was quite nervous for the trip and this was definitely different to any other travel journey/ commute i've ever embarked on before.

Enjoy the vlog and stay tuned for soon to come adventures in New York and Boston.

US Considering COVID 19 Testing For Domestic Air Travel

US Considering COVID 19 Testing For Domestic Air Travel

US Travel: Considering on Covid-19 testing for domestic air travel

Coronavirus testing for US domestic air travel Attempts to Stop the Spread Within the USA

Concerns Raised For Internal Testing Testing Should Only Apply to International Travel

✈ In this video:
0:00 US Considering COVID 19 Testing For Domestic Air Travel

01:22 - US Travel: Considering on Covid-19 testing for domestic air travel

In an effort to narrow down the spread of coronavirus across the states, the Biden administration is considering a rule that would require a negative test result for domestic air travel.

As coronavirus continues to wreak havoc across the states, recording more than 100,000 daily infections, the Biden administration is looking into potential avenues to reduce the spread.

In an interview, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg mentioned There's an active conversation with the CDC right now.

Buttigieg also made it clear that any potential decision on the matter would be guided by data, by science, by medicine, and by the input of the people who are actually going to have to carry this out.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said that screening US travellers for Covid-19 could be helpful. But she did not expand upon whether there are plans to test domestic travelLers.

To the extent that we have available tests to be able to do testing, first and foremost, I would really encourage people to not travel. But if we are travelling, this would be yet another mitigation measure to try and decrease the spread.

02:42 - International Arrivals Testing Rule

From 26 January, all international air passengers aged 2 and older must show proof of a negative Covid-19 test result to enter the United States.

Passengers need to get tested no more than 3 days before they travel by air into the United States and show their negative result to the airline before they board their flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery.

Both PCR and antigen tests are acceptable.

Proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from a healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel will also be accepted.

Also, each layover between those connections cannot be longer than 24 hours.

If your connecting flight to the US was booked separately or you have a longer connection, you need to get tested within the three days before your final flight departs for the US.

If your flight is delayed past the three-day window, you must take another test to board your flight.

03:52 - Domestic Flights

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky stated that by carrying out tests at the airport,

it could reduce the spread of the disease by those who are carrying the virus but are unaware of the fact due to a lack of symptoms.

Their Covid-positive status would be picked up by the tests, meaning they would be unable to board a plane and spread the virus around the country.

If this rule is mandated, it is possible that domestic testing policy could end up reflecting the international testing policy.

04:42 - Concern on domestic testing

The US Travel Association, a national nonprofit industry body, hailed that rule for inbound travellers as key to reopening international travel.

However, the group does not support a testing requirement for domestic air travellers.

Industry body Airlines for America has also expressed concern about the possible testing requirement for domestic air travel.

The US federal government has been mulling additional measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

Currently, the Biden administration has made no decisions on adding new requirements on domestic air travel.

What are your thoughts on this issue? Do you agree to mandatory testing for domestic flights?

Flying During COVID-19 | Atlanta (ATL) to New York City (JFK) on DELTA Airlines | CORONAVIRUS Travel | Atlanta Airport | Traveling During Covid | Covid 19 Travel | Flying with Kids during Covid-19

I am back with another flying video. This time it's my return trip from Atlanta, back to New York City on Delta Airlines. I have to say, Delta's service has been top notch during this pandemic. They are one of the only airlines that are still blocking seats which is great. They are also very kid friendly. You'll see my little one get some time with the pilots before take off. I'd definitely recommend Delta if you're considering flying during this time.

TIPS to avoid getting and spreading COVID-19 in common travel situations:

✈ Wear a mask in public settings, including on public transportation and in transportation hubs like airports and stations

✈Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms length) from anyone who you aren't traveling with.

✈ Bathroom and Rest Stops:
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after using the bathroom and after you've been in a public place.

✈If soap and water aren't available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Does your destination have requirements or restrictions for travelers?

Some state and local governments have requirements, like requiring people to wear masks and or requiring those who recently traveled to stay home for up to 14 days. Check state and local public health websites for information before you travel.

Flying During COVID-19 | New York City to Atlanta on DELTA Airlines | Wingtips Lounge Tour

Flying During COVID-19 | New York City (JFK) to Atlanta (ATL) on DELTA Airlines | CORONAVIRUS Travel | Atlanta Airport | JFK Airport | Traveling During Covid | Covid 19 Travel

I have traveled this route a couple times during the pandemic, so I was curious to see if travel has picked up in February 2021 compared to the Summer of 2021. Find out what it's like to travel during a pandemic on an airplane. I’m also giving you a tour of the Wingtips Lounge at JFK Airport terminal 4.

See how this experience went, especially traveling with kids during Covid-19. Be sure to watch until the very end to find out my thoughts on both airports, and how the entire experience went.
