The world stock markets are in a meltdown. Several big ticket events like the Mobile World Congress and the NBA Games have been cancelled. Talks are on that even the Olympics may be postponed or cancelled, in a first. In such circumstances it is advisable not to travel. But if you simply MUST, then keep these tips in mind and place safety first.

What is flying like during the pandemic? Covid 19 seems to have taken over the world, and it is especially apparent when traveling these days. We traveled during the pandemic from Peru to Mexico via a repatriation flight. After 6 months stuck abroad in Peru due to border closures, we are finally taking a flight home. This is what travel during the coronavirus pandemic is like. Watch us get to the airport which has basically been closed since covid took over Peru and South America. And then see us get on a plane and take our repatriation flight. Traveling during the pandemic isn't easy, it is actually a hassle during these times of Covid lockdowns and border closures, but we got a taste of what it's like flying and traveling during a pandemic. As someone who ALSO had to urgently book a ticket back to the US in March 2020 in order to get home to the US from abroad, I found today's interview entirely too relatable! THE SAGA!!!!!
In this video, I had the pleasure of interviewing my friend Clarisa roughly a week after she returned back to Chicago after moving to Buenos Aires in February 2020 as a corporate expat.
It was fascinating to hear from her about how she witnessed Argentina handling the COVID-19 outbreak in a very different way than the US and Europe. From my perspective, it sounded like Argentina's approach to the pandemic could be described both as more cautious AND as more systematic. Fascinating!
I'm hopeful that their cautious approach truly helped saved Argentinian lives.

Today we are in Lima, Peru during the Covid-19 pandemic and border closures. We have been stuck in Peru due to the lockdowns and borders being closed for many months, and we are in Lima to finally catch a repatriation flight back to the USA. Covid 19 has taken a strong hold of Peru and South America, and there are no signs of borders opening any time soon, so we had to leave. Today we explore a covid 19 sticken Lima, where plazas and restaurants are closed. Lima is much different from the way we saw it 6 months ago. We eat some Lima food, walk around, and have a hard time doing or seeing things due to the Coronavirus pandemic and closures of stores, streets, restaurants, and tourist attractions.
