Making Sense of Graffiti | Nas Daily

Graffiti can look good and bad, but it's almost always hard to read.
So today, Alyne and I decided to help explain Graffiti to the masses, by translating existing graffiti here on the walls of Preveza. ;)

Managing Migration - Horasis Global Meeting 2019

Globalization unintendedly facilitated migration between increasingly diverse and geographically distant destination and origin countries. How do receiving nations manage migration? And how can nations cooperate to make migration a success, both from a humanitarian and economic point of view?

WOŚP (28 finał w Bath, Polska Szkoła im. F. Chopina) - The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is believed to be one of the biggest annual charity events in the world. It is the biggest charity event in Poland. The GOCC Foundation holds American Heart Association certification to provide courses in CPR and AED, and for the use of high technology for medical lifesaving. The GOCC aims to support health care in Poland by purchase of state of the art medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics and by establishing and running six medical programmes and one educational programme. The foundation supports paediatric and geriatric wards, furnishing them in both complex medical devices such as MRI scanners, and providing long-term care units with anti-bedsore mattresses and beds. #wosp #wosp2020 #charity #poland #bath

We Bought 1,000 Burgers | Nas Daily

For the cost of one night stay in New York, you can buy 1,000 burgers and feed up to 1,000 people here. No exaggerations.

And for the past 303 days, I've never asked you to share any of my videos in the video itself. Never. This is the only time I am asking you to share. This is bigger than a person or a Facebook page, and I think it could resonate with more people.

MORE DETAILS:

24 hours ago, Sandy and I were thinking: why not buy the cheapest burger ($0.20) and review it? But Nas Daily is not a food review page, I said. So why not buy a 1,000 of these burgers, give them to the poorest of the poor, and make a statement on how far a few dollars can go in helping others? When you see people asking for $1 or $3 donations...these still help! That's the message I want to get across.

So, I hit up my Filipino friend D Myco Lam and she immediately said yes to donating the full amount (thank you). Sandy hit up his team at PinaSmile Mnl and they immediately said yes for an 8 AM meet up the next day. The day is now over and this is what we did. In less than 24 hours.

I have more thoughts:

I watched a documentary called Poverty, Inc that argues against the normal charitable giving and advocates for promoting entrepreneurship instead. I happen to agree with it. I personally think the only way for these poor Filipinos to get out of poverty is if other Filipinos and the government do something about it. Even if I show up with a billion U.S dollars to that mountain, I don't think it'll change much.

That being said, someone needs to satisfy the immediate, real hunger of these people. So, we still need food donations. Sandy, my friend, happens to run PinaSmile and I am 100% confident every $0.20 raised by them will go to actual, efficient helping. They are not a corporation or a non-profit. They are a group of students with good hearts. If you want to contribute after watching this video (and please do...they need help), simply PayPal: fuentesrez@gmail.com.
