What Happened to Cathay Pacific?
Cathay Pacific is one of the hardest hit airlines by the pandemic……but the recovery of Cathay isn’t smooth. The airline was hit hard by a discrimination incident against mainland Chinese passengers recently. I will talk about the latest Cathay inflight experience and all the issues in this video.
I took my mother on a Cathay flight from Los Angeles back to Hong Kong. It was Mom’s first long-haul travel in nearly 4 years. During the flight, I discover the latest Cathay Pacific service and some cost-cutting is evidently showing. Clearly, Hong Kong and Cathay still have a long way to go on the recovery path.
On landing, I experienced a powerful go-around from the Boeing 777 due to unclear traffic on the runway. We saw Hong Kong International Airport from above and landed safely on the new third runway of Hong Kong.
During my time in Hong Kong, I went on a meaningful flight over the skies of Hong Kong. The Cathay Community Flight 2023 brought 170 underprivileged teenagers, mentors, and volunteers to experience aviation together.

因為家人の吩咐，我必須陪同我三姐去香港出差。其實我去過香港2次了，沒算無數次的香港轉機啦～這次是我去香港的第三次，也是最精彩的一次。三姐還部分贊助我の旅費呢！哈哈！我們住靠近觀塘，午餐就在APM mall搞定。過後，我們就去觀光了。因為三姐說要吃砵仔糕，所以我上網找到了這家深水埗著名的坤記糕品專家。果真好吃！ 在深水埗的那一晚，我們原本要步行去旺角的，但是卻巧遇「黑衣人」示威活動。我們倆真的很怕，因為是第一次遇到這樣的情況。
＊在這裡希望香港平安，早點康復，因為香港其實蠻好玩的！我也很愛香港，尤其是以前的香港影片。????

I was being forced to Hong Kong by my family coz they asked me to accompany my sis on her business trip. Actually, I’d been to Hong Kong twice, not counted those transfer flights in HK though~ This was my 3rd time travelling to Hong Kong, and it was definitely the most interesting one. 3rd sis had also sponsored some of my travelling bills! Lol! We stayed somewhere in KunTong, had our lunch at the neighbourhood APM Mall. Then, we went out for sightseeing. Coz my 3rd sis said that she wanted to try Put chai ko, so I searched online and found this famous Kwan Kee Store located in Sham Shui Po. It was really yummy! On that night in Sham Shui Po, we initially planned to walk to Mongkok, but we encountered black cloth protesters. We both were so scared coz it was our first experience of this.
*Hereby hope that Hong Kong would be safe and recovered soon coz Hong Kong is an amazing place indeed! I really love HK, especially those old HK films.
