ONE DAY IN WROCLAW (POLAND) | 4K UHD | Time-Lapse-Tour through a charming and colourful city!

When you think about travel destinations in Poland, this city should be on your radar: Wrocław. Despite the fact that Wrocław is the largest city in western Poland, its unique charm, magnificent architecture and vibrant colours make it one of Poland’s prettiest destinations.

One of Wrocław’s most popular and memorable attractions is not a cathedral, not a castle or monument, but a legion of little people: Over 300 dwarf statues, they are dotted around the city. Some of them are visible at the end of my video. I wish you a lot of fun and I am looking forward to your feedback.

II hope you enjoy the sights and that you like what you see. And of course I would be happy if you like and comment it, and please feel free to share the link to my video. Thanks a lot in advance.

WROCLAW, Poland ????????- Ostrów Tumski, City Center to Wroclavia - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Welcome to our Wroclaw walking tour! We often visit his city in south-western Poland which was called Breslau when it was a German before the end of WWII.

We start our tour at Plac Koscielny, a quiet square, then head to Most Tumski, a popular spot due to its padlocks tradition. Nearby is Saint Maria of the Sand, a 14th-century gothic church.

We stroll along the Bulwar Piłsudskiego, a garden along the river, and on Daliowa island, we find Nawa, a modern metal/chrome sculpture.

Our walk continues over the Kładka Riaśkowa and Słodowa Island to Most Uniwersytecki, housing the University and Fencer sculpture. The fencer is popular as a photo motif.

Malarska street leads us to the vibrant art scene before we reach St. Elizabeth church. We then proceed to Rynek, the market square, and down Oławska Street to Galeria Dominikanska. Back via Kazmierza Wielkiego to Świdnicka, we reach the Ogrod Staromiejski and Wroclaw Puppet Theatre.

Next is the Opera Wrocławska and Plac Wolności, hosting the National Forum of Music. We return to Świdnicka, passing the Arkady and Teatr Muzyczny Capitol, to Dworzec Główny, the main train station. Our tour ends at Galeria Wrocłavia, a modern shopping center.

This walking video continues from this video so if you want to check out a route getting here, you may want to check out this video too.

【4K】Walking in Worst District of Wrocław, Poland

Virtual Walking Tour - Poland, Wrocław

Among the inhabitants of Wrocław, the Bermuda Triangle region is known as a place inhabited by a lumpenproletariat, a particularly dangerous place (and a synonym for such), with a high crime rate. This is alluded to by the name Bermuda Triangle, derived from the years of martial law in Poland, which appeared around 1982 in the underground press. Bermuda Triangle and its criminogenic nature were the inspiration for the lyrics of a song by Lech Janerka and his band Klaus Mitffoch: Beware of these places (from the Klaus Mitffoch album).

First Walk in Wroclaw Poland. Walk from Train Station to Tumski Hotel. - Wroclaw Poland - ECTV

Wrocław (Polish: [ˈvrɔt͡swaf] (About this soundlisten);[a] German: Breslau [ˈbʁɛslaʊ] (About this soundlisten); Lower Silesian: Brassel;[6] Czech: Vratislav)[b] is a city in southwestern Poland and the largest city in the historical region of Silesia. It lies on the banks of the River Oder in the Silesian Lowlands of Central Europe, roughly 350 kilometres (220 mi) from the Baltic Sea to the north and 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the Sudeten Mountains to the south. The official population of Wrocław in 2020 was 641,928, with a further 1.25 million residing in the metropolitan area.

Wrocław is the historical capital of Silesia and Lower Silesia. Today, it is the capital of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The history of the city dates back over a thousand years;[7] at various times, it has been part of the Kingdom of Poland, the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Habsburg Monarchy of Austria, the Kingdom of Prussia and Germany. Wrocław became part of Poland again in 1945 as part of the Recovered Territories, the result of extensive border changes and expulsions after the Second World War.

Wrocław is a university city with a student population of over 130,000, making it arguably one of the most youth-oriented cities in the country.[8] Since the beginning of the 20th century, the University of Wrocław, previously Breslau University, has produced 9 Nobel Prize laureates and is renowned for its high quality of teaching.[9][10] Wrocław also possesses numerous historical landmarks, including the Main Market Square, Cathedral Island and the Centennial Hall, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In 1989, 1995 and 2019 Wrocław hosted the European Youth Meetings of the Taizé Community and hosted the Eucharistic Congress in 1997 and the 2012 European Football Championship. In 2016, the city was a European Capital of Culture and the World Book Capital.[11] Also in that year, Wrocław hosted the Theatre Olympics, World Bridge Games and the European Film Awards. In 2017, the city was host to the IFLA Annual Conference and the World Games. In 2019, it was named a UNESCO City of Literature.

Wrocław is classified as a Gamma global city by GaWC.[12] It was placed among the top 100 cities in the world for the Mercer Quality of Living Survey 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 and in the top 100 of the smartest cities in the world in the IESE Cities in Motion Index 2017 and 2019 report.[13][14] In February 2021, belonging to Financial Times - fDi Magazine published the report Global Cities of the Future 2021/2022, in which Wrocław was classified in 1st place among all medium and small cities in the world.[15]

During Wrocław's early history, control over it changed hands between the Duchy of Bohemia (until 992, then 1038–1054), the Duchy of Poland and the Kingdom of Poland (992–1038 and 1054–1202). Following the fragmentation of the Kingdom of Poland, the Piast dynasty ruled the Duchy of Silesia. One of the most important events during this period was the foundation of the Diocese of Wrocław by the Polish Duke and from 1025, King Bolesław the Brave in 1000. Along with the Bishoprics of Kraków and Kołobrzeg, Wrocław was placed under the Archbishopric of Gniezno in Greater Poland, founded by Pope Sylvester II through the intercession of Polish Duke Bolesław I the Brave and Emperor Otto III in 1000, during the Gniezno Congress.[25] In the years 1034–1038 the city was affected by Pagan reaction in Poland.[26]

The city became a commercial centre and expanded to Wyspa Piasek (Sand Island), and then onto the left bank of the River Oder. Around 1000, the town had about 1,000 inhabitants.[27] In 1109 during the Polish-German war, Prince Bolesław III Wrymouth defeated the King of Germany Henry V at the Battle of Hundsfeld, stopping the German advance into Poland. The medieval chronicle, Gesta principum Polonorum (1112–1116) by Gallus Anonymus, named Wrocław, along with Kraków and Sandomierz, as one of three capitals of the Polish Kingdom. Also, the Tabula Rogeriana a book written by the Arab geographer Muhammad al-Idrisi in 1154, describes Wrocław as one of the Polish cities, alongside Kraków, Gniezno, Sieradz, Łęczyca and Santok.[28]

My name is Eric Clark and I am a world traveler. I have been around the world a few times and decided to help fund my travels by sharing my videos and pictures. I have been to almost every country and would be glad to give tips and pointers. Drop me a note. = )

The basement of the old City Hall houses one of the oldest restaurants in Europe—Piwnica Świdnicka (operating since around 1273), while the basement of the new City Hall contains the brewpub Spiż. There are also 3 other brewpubs – Browar Stu Mostów, Browar Staromiejski Złoty Pies, Browar Rodzinny Prost. Every year on the second weekend of June the Festival of Good Beer takes place. It is the biggest beer festival in Poland. Each year in November and December the Christmas market is held at the Main Market Square.

Wroclaw - Poland???????? 4K virtual walking tour

Wrocław is a city on the Oder River in western Poland. It’s known for its Market Square, lined with elegant townhouses and featuring a modern fountain. Also on the square is the Gothic Old Town Hall, with its large astronomical clock.

FUN FACT: One of Wrocław’s most popular, memorable and iconic attractions is not a cathedral, not a castle or monument, but a legion of little people. Known in local parlance as 'krasnale,' some call them dwarves, we call them gnomes. The little buggers are currently rumoured to be running rampant to the score of over 800(!), making it literally impossible for visitors to find all of them in one visit, or even for the city to keep track of them all at this point. ????????
How many can you find in the video? ????

Population of Wroclaw is about 638,659 inhabitants.

Wrocław City walking tour suburb district . South Center , Renoma , Wroclavia

South Center :

South Center is a complex of ultimately five buildings located on Powstańców Śląskich Street. It combines office, service and leisure functions.

We have created a concept of multifunctional buildings, which will be filled with natural light, fresh air and a friendly, open atmosphere. With modern architecture, we want to attract people who appreciate the comfort of working in unique places.

We delivered the first part of the Centre South project in July 2020.

1 386 m2 - retail and service area
15 - number of storeys

The second phase of South Center is the next instalment of our investment based on modern solutions. Technologies that save water by more than half, green energy or a basketball court are just some of them. We want not only to make the building more comfortable, but also to change the neighbourhood for the better for residents.

Wroclaw Poland 4k Walking Tour ???????? Explore one of The Most Beautiful City in Poland

Hello there!
This virtual walking tour was filmed in the beautiful city of Wrocław, POLAND, in November 2023.

???? About Wroclaw ????
Wroclaw, often referred to as the Venice of the North, is a picturesque city in western Poland. This charming metropolis is known for its stunning architecture, vibrant cultural scene, and rich history. The city is built on numerous islands interconnected by over 100 bridges, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere.

Wroclaw's Old Town is a treasure trove of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture, with the iconic Market Square at its heart. The square is surrounded by colorful buildings, each with its own story to tell. The Gothic-style Wroclaw Cathedral and the impressive Wroclaw University are just a couple of the architectural gems that grace the cityscape.

One of the city's highlights is the Market Square's lively atmosphere, filled with cafes, restaurants, and street performers. Wroclaw is also famous for its dwarves—small bronze statues scattered throughout the city, each with its own theme and hidden in unexpected places, adding a touch of whimsy to the urban landscape.

The Oder River, flowing through Wroclaw, enhances the city's beauty, offering scenic views and pleasant riverside walks. The city's cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous theaters, galleries, and museums, showcasing both traditional and contemporary Polish art and culture.

Overall, Wroclaw is a captivating blend of history, culture, and architectural splendor, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a unique and memorable European experience.
