Various shots in the morning in Venice, Italy. Starting on the Riva degli Schiavoni with the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
Recorded February 24, 2019, with the Vuze XR camera in VR180 at 5.7k and 30fps. Some shots slightly lightened with DaVinci Resolve 16 beta1. Somehow there is a glitch in the right eye right after the fade in effect is complete when viewing with the Oculus Go. This doesn't show up when playing anywhere else, so for now I'm not going to use the fade in slider at the beginning of the videos. Will try again with the next beta.

Another pause to take in the scenery and watch passers by. Unfortunately, the Vuze XR camera will sometimes blow out the highlights when there is this much contrast. I think the latest firmware might have improved this.

Hi my friends! Today it's a pleasure to share with you one of my favorite places in Venice where to enjoy the sunset. There are many beautiful terraces and bridges where you can enjoy the golden hour in Venice, but the Grand Canal has that museum-like beauty that's hard to match!.

If you can, a gondola ride would be the best, but a vaporetto ride is an excellent quality/price option. The 24 hours ticket cost 20 euro. The one-way ticket cost 7 euros, so if you spend a day or two in Venice, I recommend you to take the 24 hour ticket. You can visit Murano, Burano and Torcello island with the same ticket besides moving around Venice districts.

The Rialto Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Venice, Italy. It spans the Grand Canal and connects the San Marco and San Polo districts. One of the four bridges that cross the Grand Canal of Venice, built for the first time in 1181 (which makes it the oldest one of the four). The original bridge was later replaced by more modern bridges until it finally reached its present-day form in 1591. Its shape closely resembles the original bridge and some people thought it would collapse as its predecessor did. The designer of the bridge - Antonio da Ponte - won the design competition against such opponents as e.g. Michelangelo.
On the bridge, there are many little shops selling various souvenirs but during the day (and due to its massive popularity) the bridge tends to be rather crowded. If you want to avoid the crowds of tourists, you should consider visiting the bridge either early in the morning or during late afternoon and evening. You can also see it from the water if you decide to opt for a gondola tour.

The Rialto Bridge (Italian: Ponte di Rialto; Venetian: Ponte de Rialto) is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Connecting the districts of San Marco and San Polo, it has been rebuilt several times since its first construction as a pontoon bridge in 1173, and is now a significant tourist attraction in the city.
The present stone bridge, a single span designed by Antonio da Ponte, began to be constructed in 1588 and was completed in 1591.

Venice Italy Walking Tour | Sunset on the Canals of Venice [ 4K HD / 60 fps ]
Starting at St Marks Square, take a look at the iconic Basilica in the background before we being our walking down the waterfront of San Polo. Passing the ornate Doge Palace complete with endless arches and complex set of facades, feel the wonder and beauty of historic Venice in all her glory.
Moving on we cross our first bridge, the Ponte della Paglia. This landmark stone bridge dates back to 1360 and was later rebuilt in 1847. From here we take a quick peak at the famous Bridge of Sighs. The ornate arched bridge in the distance is named for sighs of prisoners crossing it en route from the Palazzo Ducale to prison.
Our sunset walk on the waterfront continues down the notable Riva degil Schiavoni passing both locals and tourists as we take in the wonder and beauty that is Venice.
Fast foward we jump to the Grand Canal where we can watch gondolas and water taxis pass the shops and cafes that line the historic Venetian Canal. Working our way towards the Rialto Bridge, take notice of the ornate covered 16th-century stonework as we cross the Grand Canal, along with its tourist shops.
On the other side, we walk down the restaurant lined Riva del Vin. Here you'll find some of the best views of Venice while enjoying a local Spritz or Chiccheti.
Walking back towards the Rialto Bridge, we turn onto Ruga dei Oresi, then curl inbetween some columns onto Campo Erberia square and then Campo Bella Vienna.
The last leg of our walk before the sunsets starts from the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari church before we turn our way into the narrow laneways and streets of Venice.
