Not everyone is ready to travel again, and not every country is welcoming travelers. But some destinations like Saint Lucia are open and are ready to welcome visitors. It is possible to travel safely if you take a few precautions at home before you fly, while on the plane and at the resort.

We took a COVID Test before flying and continued to social distance before our flight.
On the plane, we did not sit beside anyone, we wiped down our seats and sanitized our hands.
We never took our masks off except to eat and we social distanced.
Saint Lucia has very strict rules for travel, and we followed all protocols while on the island.
We also made sure to purchase COVID 19 Insurance before flying with Medipac travel insurance.
While we don’t recommend jumping on a plane and traveling the globe we do feel that if you are committed to traveling responsibly and are willing to take all the precautions to keep yourself and others safe, there is no reason you can’t get on a plane and have a vacation.
What it is like on the flight and at the Airport during COVID19.
Flying is a completely different experience right now. Only passengers with boarding passes are allowed in the terminal.
Temperatures are taken before boarding and since we were flying to Saint Lucia and a negative test is a requirement, we had to show our paperwork before check-in.
One the island we wore masks, had private tours, could only stay at government approved hotels, and could only take government approved transportation and tours. Everyone had training and safety protocols for Coronavirus.
When we returned home we had a mandatory 14 day quarantine and could not step foot off our property.
We checked in daily with the government and had food delivered.
Travel is possible during COVID 19 if you take all the necessary safety steps.

We traveled during the pandemic from Peru to Mexico via a repatriation flight. After 6 months stuck abroad in Peru due to border closures, we are finally taking a flight home. This is what travel during the coronavirus pandemic is like. Watch us get to the airport which has basically been closed since covid took over Peru and South America. And then see us get on a plane and take our repatriation flight. Traveling during the pandemic isn't easy, it is actually a hassle during these times of Covid lockdowns and border closures, but we got a taste of what it's like flying and traveling during a pandemic. Traveling During Covid 19 Vlog | Flying to Guatemala in Central America During Covid 19 (2021)
In today's vlog I will be traveling during covid 19 and flying to Guatemala in Central America in 2021. I know traveling during covid 19 can be very complicated, so in this video I take you with me as I embark on my next journey to Guatemala! In this flying during pandemic vlog, I will show you my entire travel experience flying to Guatemala in 2021, from getting through the airports to explaining everything you need to know to ensure that you follow all of the proper entry requirements to avoid quarantine upon arrival, or worse, get denied entry. I will also explain how I conduct my research to make sure that I have all of the necessary information before traveling abroad. I hope you enjoy this covid travel vlog and find it useful for your future trip.
Based on my experience in April of 2021, in order to enter Guatemala from the United States, you will need to complete 2 primary tasks. First, you will need to get a negative covid-19 test within 72 prior to your departure. This test must be either a PCR or Antigen test. Based on my research, if you have been fully vaccinated for more than 2 weeks prior to your departure, you may not need a negative covid test, but I chose to get a negative covid test anyways to be extra safe and to ensure I would not have any issues getting into Guatemala. In addition, you will need to complete the Guatemala Health Screening Form within 24 hours prior to your departure. As always, I would encourage you to conduct your own research as well to ensure you are following all of the necessary requirements, especially since they could change by the time you travel.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel! In today’s episode I will share my top 10 things you need to know before you travel to the US Virgin Islands. So you are planning a trip to the beautiful Caribbean Island of St. Thomas? And you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the covid guidelines, figuring out where to stay and more importantly, what beach to go to? Then I have some good news, this video will help you figure all that out! After visiting the US Virgin Islands for the last 4 years I wanted to put all my knowledge into a designated safe travel guide for you guys! Jon and I have also traveled to St. Thomas 2 times during Covid-19, so I will give you info about that throughout the video too. To be clear, the US. Virgin Islands is open to travel, you just need to show a negative covid test before departure, no older than 5 days. With all that said, open up your notebook, and let’s jump into today’s video!

COVID-19 RELATED: Disclaimer: We traveled to St. Thomas in December/January 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. This meant that we all needed a negative covid test before entering the island. But the rules change all the time, so please do your own research before traveling.

We started our trip back in April 2, 2019 from New York City. We quit our 9-6 jobs, sold all of our belongings, and began traveling full time. We left our jobs because we were unable to be with family and enjoy life. Work was taking up too much time and something had to change. We saved up for 2 years and began traveling as soon as we found a deal that would take us around the world for just $285.00. We started this #travelvlog to share our adventures with friends and family. At the one year mark, we realized that we had only scratched the surface and there was still so much to see.
