???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

PATTANI, THAILAND (ปัตตานี) - One afternoon in Pattani, Deep South of Thailand, we drove out to Talo Samilae Village (ตะโละสะมิแล), a small village on a peninsula. Along with walking around the local weekly market, Papa from Papa Tagu ( cooked a rare and insanely delicious local duck and herb soup. Cooking and eating by the beach was an experience I’ll never forget. Amazing friends and amazing food! #Thailand #MalayFood #streetfood

First, we arrived to the village and started to walk around the market that takes places just once a week. There were clothes and daily necessities, but mainly there was food - both cooked food and raw ingredients. Much of the cooked food and snacks were Malay. I tried a few desserts, some traditional Malay desserts as well, which were excellent.

After we walked around the market for a while, I walked around with Papa to buy ingredients for a special duck soup. He bought huge quantities of chilies, lemongrass, garlic, shallots, pepper, and chilies.

The soup is Soup Dorae (ซุปตอเระ) ซุปเป็ดสมุนไพร) - a traditional Pattani food of duck boiled with a huge quantity of Thai medicinal herbs. The cooking process was amazing, and it was incredible how balanced the flavor was with how many pungent and strong spicy ingredients used. I absolutely loved it, one of my new favorite dishes. It burned your mouth and through slightly, but in an incredibly soothing way. They also cooked another local Pattani Malay food dish of squid stuffed with glutinous rice and cooked in coconut milk and palm sugar. It was a dessert - squid for dessert - and it was excellent.

An amazing day in Pattani, incredibly delicious Malay food and amazing friends! Thank you again to Papa for cooking and for arranging this outstanding meal in Pattani.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Indian Malay Food ???? HUGE FISH HEAD CURRY Cooked By The KING OF SPICE!

???? Ultimate Fried Chicken Tour in Hat Yai:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

PATTANI, THAILAND - First of all a huge thank you Bang Dim and his amazing family for inviting us to their home for a once in a lifetime home cooked meal. It was outstanding, a meal I’ll never forget. #IndianFood #MalayFood #Pattani #ปัตตานี

First off, back story:

A few days before, I was with Muhammad from Papa Tagu ( and we stopped by the shop where he buys spices for his Thai Arabian food. We stopped in to say hi partly because the owner of the spice shop, Bang Dim, watches our video - and he’s the King of Spice in Pattani (his spice shop is called Muhammad and Sons: We had a great time, and enjoyed some amazing masala tea. He also gave me the ring! Anyway, Bang Dim is half from Kerala, South India, and half local Pattani Malay. He was born in Pattani (ปัตตานี). At that meeting, he invited us over to his house to make Indian style, but Malay at the same time fish head curry.

A few days later, we headed over to the house. Bang Dim, along with his wife and entire family put on an ultimate display of hospitality and welcome, cooking an unbelievable huge fish head curry. The fish head curry was a combination of South Indian and Malay, using dry spices, curry leaves, and even green sour mango in the curry. It was outstanding, sensational beyond belief. But not only was there fish curry, but there was also an entire Malay and Indian food feast - mainly seafood.

Thank you again to Bang Dim and your entire family for this unforgettable Indian Malay meal in Pattani.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Street Food COCONUT MILK BBQ CHICKEN!! ???? 5 Best Malay Foods!! | Pattani, Thailand!

???? Yaseen’s channel:
???? Arabian Thai Food in Pattani:

PATTANI, THAILAND (ปัตตานี) - Welcome to Pattani, very far south of Thailand! I was thrilled to have a chance to visit and I immediately loved the people and the incredible food. In this video, we’re taking you on a Thai Malay street food tour of Pattani to eat 5 of the most incredible and iconic dishes that you have to eat when you’re in Pattani. #Pattani #Thailand #streetfood

Here’s all the information for this Pattani street food tour:

1. Roti (โรตี) at Roti Wema (ร้านแวมะโรตี) - 95 thb total
- This is one of the best local places to eat roti in Pattani, and for a very good reason. Their recipe is down to a science, perfectly crispy on the edges and gooey in the center. I loved the egg roti the best, with a next of an egg in the center.

2. Khao yam / nasi kerabu (ข้าวยำ) at local breakfast market - 20 THB - You’ll find khao yam (ข้าวยำ), or nasi kerabu in Malay, around southern Thailand. But the original taste and for me the best, is in Pattani. The budu (fermented anchovy sauce) is outstanding, and paired with the rice and herbal salad blend, it is quite honestly sensational. Yaseen took me to a local breakfast market to eat one of the best packets of khao yam in Pattani City, and it was exquisite.

3. Nasi dah-gae (นาซิดาแฆ) / nasi dagang (นาซิดาแฆ ร้านอาหาร) - - 20 or 30 THB - Another Malay dish I can’t get enough of is nasi dah-gae (นาซิดาแฆ) as it’s called in Pattani Malay, or nasi dagang in Malaysia. It’s a combination of fenugreek rice, fish curry, egg, and some other toppings and ingredients, and I love it. This corner shop makes what is the gold standard of nasi dagang in Pattani and it’s a perfect breakfast. Something you have to eat when you’re in Pattani.

4. Gai galae / Ayam golek (ไก่กอและ) at (ร้านไกฆอและ-กะเมาะ) - 270 THB for everything - - Next up is another favorite of mine, known as gai galae (ไก่กอและ) or ayam golek - a stylee of grilled chicken in a coconut milk bbq sauce. The sauce is so rich and thick that it’s almost unbelievable, and they make the real deal here - adding four coats of sauce while grilling so all the coconut milk caramelizes onto the chicken. It’s lifechaning.

5. Sate (สะเต๊ะ) and rojak at ร้านสะเต็ะศรีเมือง ( - 30 thb per plate- Finally to complete this Thai Malay street food tour in Pattani, the last dish you have to eat is Sate (สะเต๊ะ), likely Indonesian influenced, grilled over charcoal, and smothered in peanut sauce.

And that completes this Pattani street food tour, hope you enjoyed it and don’t miss any of these amazing street food dishes when you’re in Pattani!

Huge thank you to Yaseen from Yes I Go for taking me around on this street food tour:

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

The people are incredible, it’s very relaxing and laid back, and the food is delicious! In this video, we’re going on a street food tour of Satun, mainly local Malay and Thai food. #Satun #Thailand #MalayFood #curry

Here’s everywhere we ate on this street food tour:

Sam Pi Nong (ร้านสามพี่น้อง - For breakfast, we went to a legendary local restaurant run by three sisters. They serve a variety of Malay and Thai main dishes and desserts. One of their signature dishes is yellow sticky rice served with a coconut milk curry. I also enjoyed their biryani, and some of their amazing sweets. Great place to eat breakfast when you’re in Satun.
Total price - 160 THB ($5.30)

Original Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์) - This no name - literally no name - curry shop serves Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์), a Satun Malay curry of fish that’s loaded with curry leaves. One of my personal favorite dishes in Thailand, and this is a very traditional version. Amazing.
Total price - 105 THB ($3.48)

Bang Dul Restoran (ร้านข้าวแกงบังดุลย์ - Next for lunch on this amazing street food tour of Satun, we went to Bang Dul Restoran (ร้านข้าวแกงบังดุลย์). The owner is so friendly and the food is insanely good. One of the main dishes to eat here is goat curry, which is melt in your mouth. And the Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์) is also astoundingly delicious and rich.
Total price - 300 THB ($9.94)

Roti Mataba (ร้านโรตีมะตะบะ(หน้า พ.ส. - Finally, to finish this Thai and Malay street food tour of Satun, there’s no way we could miss roti, and roti mataba. In the evening, many locals from Satun enjoy hanging out, snacking on roti, and drinking tea. Perfect way to end an amazing day in Satun.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Street Food 21 CURRIES FOR LUNCH!! Unseen Food Tour in Southeast Asia!! ยะลา

???? Indian Malay Food in Pattani:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

YALA (ยะลา), THAILAND - Located in the very far south, the Deep South of Thailand, Yala is a beautiful province known for its Malay culture and food, forest, and fruit paradise. In this Malay street food tour in Yala we ate one of the best traditional curry meals I’ve ever had in my life, and then continued on to the city to eat famous beef soup. Finally, we drove outside the city for some curian and cempedak. Get ready for some insanely delicious curry and fresh fruit in Yala, Thailand!

Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด - Welcome to one of the best traditional curry restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long time. They serve traditional Malay and Thai curries and dishes from Yala. I was fascinated by the variety, and the ingredients present in each of the dishes. Literally every dish was outstanding, and many of them were new for me - even having traveled quite a lot in both Thailand and Malaysia. One of the many highlights was the quail and chili leaf curry. But really, you cannot make a bad choice at Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด), it’s a must eat if you love curry when you’re in Yala, Thailand.

Quail - We stopped on the side of the road for a quick delicious roasted quail, so tasty.

Organ Soup (ซุปเครื่องใน (มัสยิดกาโบ) - In the iconic market of Yala in the the center of the city, you’ll find this legendary generations old beef soup restaurant. The soup is simple and refreshing, mainly focusing on beef organs and stomach. Additionally, you have to eat the soup with an omelet. The combination is fantastic.

Bang Lang Bridge and Lake - Finally to finish this street food tour of Yala, we drove about an hour to the iconic Bang Lang Lake and bridge. On the way, we stopped for some Yala fruit, including durian and cempedak. Unfortunately all the small “durian baan” were finished for the season, but the mon thong variety was still pretty good. And the view over the lake was spectacular.

I had an amazing time exploring Yala, but too short, so much more to eat and still do in Yala. I hope to visit again.

Thank you to my friends Mohammad and Rus from Papa Tagu for taking us:

Gas Station Street Food!! GREATEST UMAMI MEAL in The Fish Sauce Capital!

???? Slipper Lobster Tom Yum in Narathiwat -
???? Restaurant is Khrua Nasi Ulang (ครัวนาซิ อุลังค์)

Sai Buri (สายบุรี) - Welcome to Sai Buri, in Pattani province, on the border of Narathiwat in Thailand. This is the best and most well known area for Malay style fermented anchovy sauce, known locally as Nam budu (น้ำบูดู).

Khrua Nasi Ulang (ครัวนาซิ อุลังค์ Here’s the restaurant: - This amazing restaurant in Sai Buri, serves a dish called Nasi Ulang, a Malay dish of rice and a variety of vegetables (and also a variety of fish and curries), all served with tempoyak (fermented durian) and importantly, a few different types of fermented anchovy sauce.

Nasi Ulang is a meal that is also very common in the northern Malaysian province on Kelantan, which shares the same culture with this area in Thailand. The food was outstanding, the variety of vegetables and all the different dipping sauces, and the mis of fermented durian with fermented anchovy sauce - it’s a flavor that will always excite your mouth.

After lunch we drove down the road, and just into Narathiwat to see a small family run nam budu (น้ำบูดู), fermented anchovy sauce factory. It was great to learn about how it’s prepared and the important role that fermented anchovy sauce plays in the local Malay food of Pattani and Narathiwat.

Huge thank you to Muhammad and Rus from Papa Tagu ( for taking me around on another incredible day of Thai and Malay food in Pattani!

Arabian Thai Food!! GIANT BIRYANI MOUNTAIN in Pattani! | ข้าวหมกปัตตานี

???? Ultimate Fried Chicken Tour in Hat Yai:
???? Papa Tagu:

PATTANI, THAILAND - I was excited to be in the very far south of Thailand, in Pattani. When I was there, one of the restaurants I was most looking forward to trying was Papa Tagu, a restaurant specializing in Thai Arabian food - especially what’s called “khao mok” in Thai, or a combination of both biryani and mandi.

We met up with Muhammad and Rus, the amazing owners of the restaurants, who have a unique story and passion for what they do. They are both professors, and when they decided to start a primary school, they each stopped what they were doing and went back to school to study for their doctorate degrees. But at that time they didn’t have a big income and needed to do something to support their family, so they looked into a small restaurant. Rus said, why don’t we make biryani, because your family makes biryani at home. So that’s what they did.

Their recipe is served Arabian / Middle Easter food style, yet the flavor of the rice and the taste of the ingredients, toppings, and sauce, is the Thai taste - strong, sour, spicy, balanced with sweetness.

It was an honor to see the process of the rice being made and to see our platter of rice being assembled into an insane platter - including two types of rice, a fried turmeric fish, fried turmeric prawns, fried chicken, and an entire surprise goat leg! She then sprinkled the entire plate of food with fried onions, crispy shallots, fried chilies, friend tomatoes, and garnished with more fresh vegetables - it was spectacular.

What a meal and experience eating Thai Arabian food in Pattani, Thailand. Highly recommended when you visit Pattani!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

He’s 129!! World’s Oldest Street Food Vendor!? | Pattani, Thailand

???? Yaseen’s channel:
???? Arabian Thai Food:
???? Sells in front of Masjid Pakistani:

Welcome to Pattani, Thailand! This is just a short clip video today to recognize and honor a man who might be the world’s oldest street food vendor.

Uncle, how old are you? 129 years old!

Now here’s the thing, he was born before Thailand started numbering the years, and so he doesn’t have an official ID card. But what we do know is that his oldest son is 80 plus years old. So even if he’s over 100 that’s absolutely remarkable. Even the fact that he stands there all day, selling, and chatting is incredible.

But not only does Uncle sell candy, he jogs every Friday around the bridge, and he rides the motorcycle. And he still makes the toffee himself starting at 3 am. It takes 3 hours to stir, and another two hours to pull and stretch out until it’s ready. He also happens to love cracking jokes, and if you start talking with him, he’ll laugh, he’ll tell stories, and he’ll start joking around.

Beyond legendary, there’s so much we can learn from Uncle, his lifestyle, his friendliness, and how he serves others. This is what I think is his recipe for a long life.

Aganin, we can’t verify he’s 129 years old, but that’s what he says! And no matter what, he’s one of the world’s oldest street food vendors without a doubt.

Thanks to Yaseen ( for bringing me here!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Unique Thai Food - DUCK GUITAR!! Extreme Crispy Skin in Bangkok!

???? Ultimate Fried Chicken Tour in Hat Yai:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

BANGKOK, THAILAND: There are a lot of places to eat deep fried or roasted duck in Bangkok, one of the many popular Thai Chinese foods. But nowhere is quite like the ultra crispy duck guitar! #Bangkok #Thailand #ChineseFood

Ramruay Pochana (ร่ำรวยโภชนา พระราม 3) - Welcome to Ramruay Pochana (ร่ำรวยโภชนา พระราม 3), a restaurant that’s famous for their guitar duck roasting and deep frying method. The name of guitar duck is pretty self explanatory - they debone the duck and stretch it out into the shape of a guitar. Then the duck is marinated, left in the sun to dry, roasted for forty minutes, and finally deep fried to an insanely golden crispiness.

Ramruay Pochana (ร่ำรวยโภชนา พระราม 3) is a Thai Chinese restaurant, and one of the things they are known for is serving their complete meal set which is very affordable for what you get. Typically the set comes with Peking duck, which is also some of the most crispy skin you’ll ever have. But if you pay an extra 200 THB for a total price of 1,700 THB ($54.25) for the entire set, you get the legendary guitar duck.

For me, the best part of the experience was watching and learning how they transform a duck into a guitar to maximize the crispy surface area. It’s pretty hilarious and awesome all at the same time.

Some of the dishes in the meal set were a little plain, but overall, it’s an affordable meal set for an entire family, and it’s especially focused on the insanely crispiness of the Peking duck and duck guitar.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Green Bamboo Curry!! VILLAGE THAI FOOD in Sukhothai, Thailand! ???????? บ้านนาต้นจั่น

???? Street Food Tour in Sukhothai:

Sukhothai - Ban Na Ton Chan (บ้านนาต้นจั่น), Thailand - Welcome to the amazing Ban Na Ton Chan (บ้านนาต้นจั่น) in Sukhothai, Northern Thailand! They have an amazing homestay program where you can arrange to stay and learn about the amazing culture and eat some incredibly delicious local home-cooked food! #Sukhothai #ThaiFood

Sukhothai is the ancient capital of Siam, and so there’s a lot of Thai culture and history here. Along with visiting the historical sites of Sukhothai ( I was very excited to learn more about the culture and especially eat authentic local Sukhothai Thai food.

After we arrived to Ban Na Ton Chan (บ้านนาต้นจั่น), we immediately went to check into our homestay where we were greeted by an amazing local early lunch. Among the spread of food, one of the highlights was barometer earthstar mushroom curry (แกงคั่วหมูเห็ดเผาะ), it was incredibly delicious. We ate, had some local durian, and then took a little rest before preparing the next meal!

Aunty was amazing, she went above and beyond to take care of us, and to cook us local food. In the afternoon we went to gather some fresh ingredients, including bamboo shoots, bitter melon leaves, and pea eggplant. Along with many other dishes, one of the main dishes Aunty cooked was a local style bamboo shoot curry (แกงหน่อไม้) ใบย่านาง), using mainly the fresh herbs and bamboo shoots that we harvested ourselves. She started with juice made from yanang ( leaves, which are common in certain regions of Thailand, often used for a curry broth. She then boiled the bamboo shoots, and added in an assortment of vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, spices, fermented fish sauce, and finally red ant eggs to finish it off. It was extraordinary!

For dinner we had an entire local Sukhothai Thai food feast - including the amazing bamboo shoot curry Aunty prepared, a chili dip made with egg, and an assortment of other delicious Thai food.

It was a learning experience, and so much fun to hang out with Aunty who was so kind and took such great care of us.

The Story of Boat Noodles: The Herbal, Meat-Filled, Blood-Doused Snack that has Thailand Hooked

Baffled by a mess of confusing origin stories, we set out to find the true origin of Boat Noodles, the quintessential Bangkok dish that's as much a competition as a meal. And we found help from the most unlikely of places- a boat-noodle-loving taxi driver who turned off the meter and spent his day making sure we didn't miss out on any of the best places to find the dish along the canal where it was probably first created.

6.5 kg. TIGER GROUPER!! Fishing Thai Food + Grape Seaweed in Krabi, Thailand!

???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

KRABI, THAILAND - Welcome to the southern Thailand province in Krabi! Today we’re heading to the Laem Sak Community, a community tourism initiative where they harvest and grow fish, lobsters, and local seaweed. You can go to get your own seafood and they can cook it at the community kitchen. Get ready for a giant tiger grouper fresh fish (not wild, but farmed), local lobsters, and amazing grape seaweed!

First, we headed on a boat through the beautiful bays and mountain rock landscape to a fisherman within a cove who raises and grows seafood and seaweed. Although at first I thought we’d mostly be getting local lobsters, he said he had a grouper today, and so we quickly changed our plan and decided on a menu from the 6.5 kg. giant grouper and lobsters, and seaweed.

With the fresh seafood, we headed back to the Laem Sak community where they cooked an amazing Southern Thai food meal!

Khao Yam and Nasi Kerabu: Two Names, Two Countries, One Perfect Dish

Khao Yam might look like a salad, but it's so much more. Mixing coconut, lemongrass, chili, fermented fish, and rice with an endless variety of fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables, it all combines into nothing less than a bite of Southeast Asia.

It's no wonder that this dish is the pride of its home region. The problem is, for more than a hundred years, that region has been split in two by international borders, and both sides claim the dish- known as Khao Yam or Nasi Kerabu- as their own. It's even erupted into violence, with this dish serving as a symbol of identity- but whose identity?

Street Food SLEDGE HAMMER BEEF!! ???? Master Tenderizer! | Chiang Mai, Thailand!

???? Village Thai Food in Sukhothai:
???? 100% Durian Chips - Order Here:

Shout out to Andy Ricker ( and Austin Bush ( for the recommendation.

Joel’s channel:

Welcome to Pa Daeng Jin Tup (ร้านป้าแดงจิ้นตุ๊บ), a Northern Thai restaurant in Chiang Mai, that’s known for its sledge hammer pounded meat jerky!! The Uncle and Aunty who run the restaurant, also have incredibly bubbly and friendly personalities, so meeting them and hanging out with them is a highlight along with the food. #ThaiFood #streetfood #ChiangMai

We arrived and immediately began ordering most of the dishes they had on their menu for the day. Uncle made sure to tell us that unfortunately due to the day and the situation (post Covid lockdown), he didn’t have all the dishes on his menu that he often has. Even so, we were able to order quite a selection and quite a variety.

At Pa Daeng Jin Tup (ร้านป้าแดงจิ้นตุ๊บ), you’ll immediately notice the classic Northern Thai food grill very slowly roasting and smoking continually over low charcoal - the meat stays smoking until you order it. Once you order it, they carefully select some pieces of tough meat, put it on the cutting board, and Uncle starts pounding it with his signature sledge hammer - it literally is a sledge hammer, meat tenderizer!

The result is a piece of meat that’s so fragrant, and still slightly chewy - like jerky - but fun to eat and full of flavor. Additionally, you eat every bite with Uncle special sauce that contains bile to make it bitter and diversify the flavor. I also really loved the galangal chili dip. What a meal and what a time to hang out with friends, have some drinks, and some seriously tasty Thai street food.

Here’s everything we ordered:

Pounded beef (จิ้นตุ๊บ)
Pounded pork (หมูตุ๊บ)
Frog mix (ยำกบ)
Chicken feet soup (ขาไก่ซุปเปอร์)
Galangal chili (น้ำพริกข่า)
Fermented pork, egg (แหนมหมกไข่)
Steamed pork (หมูนึ่ง)

Total price - 620 THB ($19.92) for everything
