Traditional Generator vs. Inverter Generator

Jackery Solar Generator VS Traditional Gas Generator

Both Jefferson and Kennedy's family enjoy camping for years. One of them took Jackery for camping while the other took a gasoline generator. Let's see the interesting story that happened between the two families.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What's a #SolarGenerator:
A solar generator can technically refer to a solar solution that combines a portable power station with solar panels. It converts sun energy captured by solar panels into electrical power and then stores it in a portable power station for later use. A solar generator is a reliable and clean power source for campers, RVs, or as an emergency backup if your power goes out.

RV Generators and what we learned

#retrorvrecon
RV Generators and what we learned.
In this video we go over how Hurricane Ida taught us which of the three portable generators that we tried is best for our 30amp Retro RV. We tested the Honda EU2200I, Honda EU3000IS and the Champion 3650W. We show starting each generator and compare the noise levels. We discuss which of the three portable generators is best to power our camper at home and while camping.
Check out the video and tell us what you think, we would like to hear other experiences.

Portable Power Station vs 12 Volt DIY Solar for a Van Conversion

Portable Power Station vs 12 Volt DIY Solar for a Van Conversion

The Vankookz Van Conversion Masterclass is Finally Here -

All wiring diagrams are available here -

Welcome back to the channel ya kookz!

Today we are comparing the cost difference between a DIY solar setup and a portable power generator. Today there are many options for building a DIY 12-volt solar setup and many options for portable power stations. Portable power stations have come a long way and are now finally, in my mind, a viable option for your van conversion. Today we are reviewing the cost between a similar DIY 12 Volt Solar Power Station and a Portable Power Station.

I just wanted to make this video after I received the Anker 767 power station and was so impressed with its ability to charge fast, 2.4 hours via 1000W solar and 1.4 hours via 1440W AC power. In the past, these units took so long to charge they weren't a reliable option, in my opinion, but now with the ability to have up to 1000W solar input, these are now a contender for an easy, straightforward van conversion setup.

Best RV Generator - Champion 3400 watt Dual-Fuel Review

If you're looking for the best RV generator, you've come to the right place. If you plan on boondocking with your travel trailer, this is the #1 item you need. In this video I review the Champion portable inverter generator, this 3400 watt dual-fuel inverter generator is perfect for travel trailers and other RV's that don't have a built-in generator. If you have a travel trailer and plan on doing any boondocking, you really need an inverter generator, which is much better than a traditional generator, these are smaller in size, more efficient and quieter to operate than a traditional generator. The only downside is that they are a bit more expensive, but over time you will make up for it in efficiency. Inverter generators are also safer than traditional generators when it comes to operating your more sensitive electronics, such as computers.

In this Champion generator review, I showcase some of the benefits of an Inverter Generator, while also testing how quite it really is to operate. One of the fantastic elements of this Champion inverter generator is that it is duel fuel, meaning you can run it on gasoline, or propane gas. It's not quite a powerful using propane vs gas, nor is the energy output as good as using petrol, but it is really nice to have that option in case you run out of gas. Most travel trailers have two tanks and many owners will travel with an additional spare to run their BBQ and other items, so it's a great option.

Depending on your size travel trailer, you may need a larger inverter generator. If you want to run the A/C while boondock camping, you probably shouldn't buy anything smaller than this dual fuel 3400 watt. If you're not running the A/C, you could get away with a smaller unit, which are much more compact than this 3400.

Propane or Diesel Generator for Leisure Travel Vans? I chose wrong

When it comes to choosing diesel or propane for your generator, most people will be totally overwhelmed about which option to go with. The diesel is twice as much as the propane, so it must be twice as good, right?

Here I talk about what I chose for my #leisuretravelvan #unity #rvgenerator and if I would choose different knowing what I know now.

Curious how we run our air conditioner on battery? (DISCLAIMER: Pagosa Supply Co, which I am part owner, is a Lithionics dealer. I was a customer first, and honored to have been chosen as a dealer as well)

Using Propane for fuel in a generator is useful in so many situations where traditional gasoline would not be feasible or permitted, such as in wild and scenic public lands or public waterways. We wanted to know where the idea of using propane as a fuel for a generator came from, so we asked Perry where he got the idea and why propane is a better fuel than gasoline.

Way Elite 4000 Watt Flex Power Generator

The Next Generation of RV Generators

Recreational vehicle owners know the importance of having a backup generator.

That's why so many of them are turning to the Elite 4000 Watt Flex Power Generator as an excellent solution for backup power when not connected at a campsite. The Elite Flex Power Generator is manufactured with power, performance, and, most importantly, safety in mind.

The Elite Flex Power's compact and lightweight design removes the traditional bulk of most generators, making it easier to carry and transport. Not only is it lighter at 121 pounds (over 40 pounds lighter than comparable generators,) but it's also more versatile with the capability to run on both gasoline and propane. Dual fuel capacity allows for flexibility - gasoline provides a higher BTU, and propane runs cleaner and quieter. Travel with peace of mind knowing your generator can change fuel sources with the simple flip of a switch.

The Elite Flex Power features smart start technology, removing the traditional starter, which could need to be replaced over time. Smart start technology uses a digitally produced three-phase waveform passed to the alternator's stator to rotate the engine and start more efficiently. Without a traditional starter and no spark from a commutator, the risk of igniting combustible fuels is removed, improving safety and offering peace of mind. Unlike generators of the past, the 4000 Watt Flex power model is equipped with an integrated inverter for power production. This new and innovative patent-pending design brings many upgrades over traditional generator models.

Your RV will be complete with the Elite Flex Power Generator. When partnered with solar power, your setup will keep you running even in extended boondocking and dry camping environments.

Briggs & Stratton P3000 Powersmart Inverter Generator : Review

We pulled our 19’ camper into a rustic campsite on a Friday afternoon. Granted, it was in mid-May, but we showed up without a reservation. After getting camp all setup, we rolled in the Briggs & Stratton P3000 inverter generator. Out of the box, the P3000 comes equipped with a 30 amp adaptor, which made it super simple to connect directly to our trailer’s main power input.

The nightmare that often comes with pull-start engines has become deeply engrained in my brain. Every spring, the task of getting the lawnmower and weed whackers up and running often leaves me with sore arms – and a volume of cuss words that I try to mask from the neighbors. I went into the P3000 with this mindset. I can honestly say that I was shocked (and pleasantly surprised) when the Briggs & Stratton P3000 started on the first pull – directly out of the box! We simply followed the quick-start instructions, and had zero issues.

As a test, we decided to put the unit through its full paces. First, starting up the standard appliances – refrigerator, air conditioner and lighting. As each appliance was flipped on, the P3000 picked up a little extra engine noise, but quickly settled itself back down to its normal operating volume. As I mentioned above, it’s delivering as much power as you’re pulling – so the engine needs to ramp up with each additional power requirement. Lastly, we went for what has traditionally been the “big boy” inside the rig – the microwave. We placed a pack of microwave popcorn inside, and let it fire. Again, the P3000 kicked up – and then calmed itself back down. No issues.

One of the things that I should point out is the benefit of the Briggs & Stratton StatStation display. Although it might sound simple, this digital readout shows you exactly how much power you’re sucking – and prevents a nasty power overload.

In addition to the camper connection, we decided to take advantage of the 4 onboard 120V outlets, as well as the USB connection. Because we often travel with lots of gear, these dedicated outlets came in handy – providing a charge to our camera and microphone batteries with ease. And while a USB outlet might seem like an afterthought, we loved the fact that we didn’t have to waste one of the 120V outlets just to charge up the phone.

While all of the focus so far has been about connections and power output, I should mention that the portability and design of the P3000 is fantastic. It boasts a pair of attached wheels, as well as a luggage-style handle that made transporting the unit back and forth a breeze.

Overall

The Briggs & Stratton P3000 Powersmart Inverter Generator held up to any job that we could toss at it. If you’re looking for a solution to keep running – even while off the grid — this inverter is definitely one that fits the bill. With a legacy of great engines – Briggs and Stratton understands the modern camper.
