Nokonoshima, a remote island easily accessible from Fukuoka.
10 minutes by ferry from Meinohama.
I visited a paradise-like island surrounded by beautiful blue sea and flowers blooming in profusion.
The contrast between cherry blossoms and rape blossoms is the best season!
I also felt the atmosphere of good old Japan and enjoyed delicious seafood.

MY FIRST TIME eating Thakali Food in Thamel Kathmandu????????
It was time to go out and taste some local Thakali food for dinner as this was recommended by many people in Nepal. I spent some time walking the streets looking for some food and came across a restaurant in Thamel. I decided to go up there and check it out. The server at the restaurant was very nice and helped me select a delicious meal. After the meal, I went on a hunt for desserts late in the night.

Jetstar Airways JQ229 : Flying from Auckland to Christchurch
30th June 2022
It's been some time since I returned to Christchurch and I was happy to fly aboard Jetstar on their 9 years old Airbus A320-200, VH-VFL.
After arriving at Auckland Airport as the sun emerged over the horizon, we checked in and got some breakfast as we'd left home without getting something to eat. We then went through security and I managed to catch a glimpse of the first Jetstar flight to Wellington. Unfortunately, the flight returned to its original gate and the cause was unknown. I felt bad for the passengers as they couldn't disembark but they did eventually depart two hours later. Yikes. My flight started to board at Gate 21 and I settled at Seat 2F, right at the front of the plane with a great view of the engine. Hoping we don't get turned around like the flight to Wellington, the plane pushed back from the gate, taxied to the runway and then (luckily) took off towards Christchurch with a thunderous roar. During the flight, I received my meal of an all day toastie and a cup of tea which I'd pre-paid earlier online. It was delicious and complemented the breakfast I had earlier. The views outside were fabulous, especially the mountain ranges across the South Island. It was a sight to behold! The weather was great and before we knew it, the plane touched down, taxied and parked at Gate 21 (coincidence?) Once we collected our bag from Carousel 5, we picked up the keys to our rental car and breathed in the cool, crisp air outside. I had another decent flight with Jetstar and can't wait for the return journey. But it was time to revisit a beloved city and a new unexplored territory. So do look forward to that.
