5 Unique Cultural Experiences Not to Miss in Cameroon
Cameroon's coastline lies on the Bight of Biafra, part of the Gulf of Guinea
and the Atlantic Ocean. Its landscape is unique and so are its people. With over 250 ethnic groups, Cameron is a true melting pot of people and cultures.
5. The Musgum Mud hut architecture.
Musgum mud huts or Musgum dwelling units are traditional domestic
structures built of mud by the ethnic Musgum people in the Maga
sub-division, Mayo-Danay division, Far North Province in Cameroon. The
dwellings were built in a variety of shapes, such as tall domed or conical
dwellings or huts, some with a reverse-V shape, and others with geometric
designs.
The Musgum people in Cameroon constructed their mud houses with
compressed sun-dried mud. Earth is still used as a building material and
appears environmentally more acceptable for low cost housing, as cement
production releases large amounts of carbon emissions. Mud is laid over a
thatch of lashed reeds. They are compared to adobe structures or variants
of cob structures, which are made from sand, clay, water, and some kind of
fibrous or organic material such as sticks, straw, and/or manure. Although
of simple design, they are well planned from a utility viewpoint.
4. The Dschang Museum of Civilization.
The museum of civilizations of Dschang is a museum of Cameroon
created in 2011 in Dschang , in the department of Menoua and the West
region , and located on the edge of the Municipal Lake.
The Museum of Civilization invites you to discover the origins of the
Cameroonian people and the diversity of four major cultural areas of the
country through their history but also their artistic productions,
architecture, political and societal organizations.

Limbe is a beach town in western Cameroon. It's known for its black sand beaches and Atlantic surf. Limbe Botanic Garden has a herbarium and diverse plant species. The Limbe Wildlife Centre rescues and rehabilitates primates, such as lowland gorillas. Mount Cameroon National Park protects endangered mammals, including forest elephants. Within the park, Mount Cameroon is an active volcano with trails to the summit.
#Limbe, formerly #Victoria, town and port located in southwestern #Cameroon. It lies along Ambas Bay in the Gulf of Guinea, at the southern foot of #MountCameroon, just south of #Buea.
The town was founded in 1858 by Baptist missionaries, and several historical monuments dating from the colonial 1890s have been preserved. Limbe is Cameroon’s second largest port, after the nearby port of #Douala. It depends on migrant labour and the export produce of nearby plantations: coffee, cacao, palm oil and kernels, tea, bananas, and rubber. A hospital and an airport serve the town, which also has beaches and boating facilities.

Kumba - Mamfe road / Route Kumba - Mamfé
Today, Deep Cameroon by Baudelaire takes us to the South-West region of Cameroon to show you the road from Kumba to Mamfe, more precisely to the locality of Bachuo Akagbe. This road is 150 km long. It was divided into two sections, the first running from Kumba to Mfaïtock with a length of 105 km and the second running from Mfaïtock to Bachuo Akagbe with a length of 45 km.
The work is financed here by Cameroon, the African Development Bank and the Development Bank of Central African States. The works are carried out here on section 1 by the Chinese company China Communications Constructions Company Ltd, on section 2 by another Chinese company, Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Engineering Group Co Ltd. The project management is carried out by the Canadian engineers office CIMA INTERNATIONAL.
Section 1 is complete and was received in the first quarter of 2018; section 2 has a 15 km unfinished section. This film will be presented to you in two phases, first the initial state and then the road conditions on both lots in the first quarter of 2018.

This adventure took us to one of the most visited snack bar/ restaurant in Molyko a bustling neighborhood in Buea..at the snack bar/ restaurant,we eat one of Cameroon's renowned delicacy from the North West Region -corn fufu and huckleberry accompanied with roast chicken .The meal is otherwise called locally Khaty khaty ..after the sumptuous meal we made our sincere review...this video could be helpful to those looking for a place to relax and eat delicious Cameroonian meals in Buea like the snack bar/restaurant portrayed in this video..
