SRI LANKA TRAVEL: Epic Train Ride from Ella to Nuwara Eliya + Adam's Peak Climbing
Welcome to ???? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????? ????????????????????. This is the Episode 7 of a travel series documenting our 3 weeks moving around the island in different local transportation like train, bus, tuktuk, bike, jeep and boat. We'll share our experiences with you and you will see what places are worth visiting in Sri Lanka, how safe is Sri Lanka, the amazing Sri Lankan food, the history and the culture.
On this seventh episode we leave Ella on the popular Udarata Menike train and arrive to Hatton where we take a bus to Nallathanniya/Dalhaousie. There, we climb the 5000 steps of Adam's Peak in the middle of the night to reach the summit and catch a spectacular sunset.
After the hike, we go back on the road and take another scenic train ride to our next destination: Kandy.

KANDY TO ELLA TRAIN (2nd Class) + LITTLE ADAMS PEAK HIKE | Sri Lanka Travel Vlog #5
We took the train from Kandy to Ella in second class which cost around £1.50 and took 6 hours (7 hours actually due to the rain) however be warned, if you are travelling during the school holidays, then seats probably won't free up, so you will be standing for the entire trip. If you want 1st class, which means less mingling with the locals then you will have to book this up in advance.
While we were in Ella we hiked Little Adams Peak and also visited the very instagram famous Nine arch bridge!

Sri Lanka is beautiful and one of the best ways to experience the scenic beauty is by getting on the train that rides from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, Haputale and Ella.

We Made it to the Hill Climb Race in Nuwara Eliya! / One of Asia's Oldest Races!

Our plan was to be in Nuwara Eliya for only 1 night. However, it changes to 2 nights because our host, Sumeet, told us that there was a Hill Climb Race happening the very next day and his family members were racing. So we thought that was super cool and had to join in on the fun.
The Mahagastote Hill Climb Race in Nuwara Eliya is the oldest motorsport race in South East Asia which dates back to 1932. The aim of the race is for each rider to race up an 875m hill, with the fastest being the winner. The fastest time recorded is 32.643 seconds and was done in 2017.
You can race up the mountain on a bike or in a car. Do you think they managed to break the record this year?

We Took First Class Train From Anuradhapura to Jaffna Sri Lanka
We are finally heading north to Jaffna! We took first class train and we wanted to show you around in this short travel video. We left Anuradhapura to Jaffna and it took probably 3 hours. Tickets costs 5€. Trains are our favorite part of transport in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed it so much!
