Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya - The Smoke That Thunders) is one of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring waterfalls on our planet. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, on Zambezi River. The mist from the waterfall can be seen from far away and sustains nearby rainforest.

Victoria Falls is considered the largest waterfall, based on its combined width (1,708 m/5,604 ft) and height (108 m/354 ft), even though it is not the highest or the widest. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Kariba Dam is a double curvature concrete arch dam in the Kariba Gorge of the Zambezi river basin between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The dam stands 128 metres tall and 579 metres long. The dam forms Lake Kariba, which extends for 280 kilometres and holds 185 cubic kilometres of water.
Lake Kariba is the world's largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume. It lies 1,300 kilometres upstream from the Indian Ocean, along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe

Lusaka is the capital of Zambia. In the center, sprawling Lusaka City Market sells clothing, produce and other goods. The National Museum exhibits archaeological finds and contemporary art. Nearby, the Freedom Statue commemorates Zambia's struggle for independence. South of the city, Munda Wanga Environmental Park has a wildlife sanctuary and botanical garden. The Lilayi Elephant Nursery cares for orphaned elephants

Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls – indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or Smoke That Thunders” – plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint.

Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe. On the edge of landscaped Harare Gardens, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe has a large collection of African contemporary art and traditional pieces like baskets, textiles, jewelry and musical instruments. The unusual granite formation Epworth Balancing Rocks is southeast of the city. Wildlife such as zebras and giraffes roam Mukuvisi Woodlands.

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife.

Zambezi Floodplain

Barotse Floodplain is located in Zambia’s Western Province. Here the Zambezi flows across a wide sandy plain. In high water (April-May) it floods the area turning it into a picturesque inland sea. Then it gradually dries up, and at the beginning of the rainy season the plain is all covered in grass. This video was taken in January, after two months of rains. The Zambezi and other rivers and streams are gaining strength, the herds of cows are thriving on the rich vegetation and maize looks bigger than ever.

It is interesting to compare two seasons. Here is a link to another video taken in May.

Mozambique | Poor country | Documentary | Mount Namuli | National Geographic | 1080p | Full HD

Please share and subscribe my channel for more videos like these.

This is a documentary about people living near mount namuli.

Mozambique is a southern African nation whose long Indian Ocean coastline is dotted with popular beaches like Tofo, as well as offshore marine parks. In the Quirimbas Archipelago, a 250km stretch of coral islands, mangrove-covered Ibo Island has colonial-era ruins surviving from a period of Portuguese rule. The Bazaruto Archipelago farther south has reefs which protect rare marine life including dugongs.

The capital is Maputo. Known until independence as Lourenço Marques, the city boasts fine colonial-era architecture and an attractive natural setting alongside the deepwater harbour of Maputo Bay. Maputo is the commercial and cultural centre of the country, and its sidewalk cafés, bars, and discotheques offer some of the liveliest nightlife in southern Africa. Other major cities and towns, most of which lie on or near the Indian Ocean coast, include Beira, Quelimane, Chimoio, Tete, Nampula, and Nacala.

View over the Zambezi River | Zimbabwe ????????

Hey guys!

I am having A LOT of wifi issues where I am right now in Tanzania. I am sorry! I've kept you guys waiting long enough. I have new content to post but I cant post it now because of the wifi issues. So I am going to post some throw back videos of when I was in Zimbabwe that has never been seen! I hope you guys enjoy and again I apologize, I am hoping this wifi thing will be resolved. These videos were already uploaded to YouTube but were scheduled so enjoy!

One of my favorite tourist spots in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe is Imvelo Gorges Lodge. It has an AMAZING view of the Zambezi River, just breath taking. It has a bar over the view where you can get as lit as you want to. It also has rooms to sleep in, but I personally didn't stay in the lodge part. Even if you're not a guest in the lodge you can still go to visit just to see the view.

Zambezi - Children of the River

The Lozi people live on flood lands. Every year during the rainy season the water level rises up to the point where it is impossible to live on the land. And so, for the past 300 years, the Lozi people have practiced the Kuomboka ceremony, which literally means get out of water. During the ceremony, the entire tribe board canoes and follow their king to his winter palaces and his home up on the hills.
