Welcome to the best tacos in the world - the ultimate guide to Mexican street food tacos in Mexico City!

I met up with Lalo from La Ruta de la Garnacha ( he’s from Mexico City, he makes videos about street food as well. And he took me to his favorite tacos in all of Mexico City. We each ate the most tacos in one single day that we’d ever eaten in our lives, and it was the greatest taco day of my life!

Here are all the places we ate in this video:

Tacos Joven - They are known for their tacos de canasta, which are basket tacos, famous in Mexico City. They are served from a basket, and they keep hot the entire day as they are served. The highlight here was the chicharrón taco with chicharrón salsa.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco

Taqueria El Abanico - This is Lalo’s favorite restaurant in Mexico City for carnitas, the wildly popular braised pork taco. The entire rib in my taco was the highlight, so tender and flavorful.
Price - 20 MXN ($1.08) per taco

El Pescadito de Sonora - Originating from Hermosillo in Sonora, El Pescadito serves Mexican seafood tacos, especially shrimp or marlin tacos. Their tacototo is a taco that will change your life. This was as good as food gets for me.
Price - 35 MXN ($1.89) per taco

Tacos Charly - When it comes to Mexican street food, suadero is one of the greatest, a massive pan of slow braising beef in its juices. When you order your tacos, they slice up the meat, dip your tortilla in the fat, and you eat it with onions, cilantro, and salsa - pure meat heaven.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco

Taqueria Los Güeros - Tacos de tripa, intestines, are very popular in Mexico City as well. They may not be the most pretty tacos, but they are immensely flavorful and have all sorts of different textures going on in your mouth.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco

Tacos Los Juanes - This is a great Mexican street food restaurant in Mexico City that serves all sorts of different tacos. We came for the tacos de cabeza and tacos de lengua, both of which were fantastic
Price - 10 MXN ($0.54) per taco

El Vilsito - For Mexican street food in Mexico City, the ultimate taco, the most loved by everyone is no doubt, Al Pastor. Cooked in the vertical spit, a technique brought over from Lebanese immigrants, Al Pastor is usually made with marinated pork that’s juicy and flavorful it might make you weep tears of joy. Lalo and I ordered, not just your ordinary tacos de al pastor, but the King of all tacos, the Gringa!
Price - 50 MXN ($2.70) each

Thanks again to Lalo from La Ruta de la Garnacha:

This was the greatest taco day of my life. Thank you for watching!

►Mexico City street food guide:

I met up with 5 Mexican Guys ( and they just started their channel since I met them, so go check them out!) to go on an ultimate Mexican street food tour of Mexico City. It was one of the greatest food days I had in Mexico, and we tasted so many incredible dishes.

La Esquina del Chilaquil - For breakfast in La Condesa, there’s no better place to check out than La Esquina del Chilaquil, their tortas are delicious.
Price - 40 MXN ($2.14) each

Mercado de San Juan - I wanted to quickly check out this market, but it wasn’t all that busy when we went - there wasn’t too much going on. So we had a quick scorpion and then continued on to the ultimate street food market.
Scorpion - 160 MXN ($8.54) for 4

Mercado de La Merced - Mexico City is packed with street food, but if you want a food experience that’s busy, in your face, and always exciting and delicious, Mercado de la Merced is one of the greatest places to start. You’ll encounter massive amounts of street food that will blow your mind with how delicious they are. Here are the things we ate at the market:
Quesadilla - 57 MXN ($3.04) for 3
Fries tacos - 20 MXN ($1.07) each
Pancita - 40 MXN ($2.14) per bowl
Pambazo
Mamey - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Mango - 15 MXN ($0.80)

Churrería El Moro - This wasn’t street food, but we needed a little afternoon break, and there’s no better spot in Mexico City for churros than Churrería El Moro.
Total price - 439 MXN ($23.44) for all

Esquites - 20 MXN ($1.07) - After walking around El Zocalo - the center of Mexico City, we then had a corn snack os esquites where they add corn, mayo, cheese, and chili salsas to a cup. It’s pretty tasty.

Loncheria La Rambla - Next we tried a Mexican style turkey sandwich - it was alright, but not the best food of the day.
Torta de pavo - 35 MXN ($1.87) each

Taquería Los Cocuyos - And finally to end this Mexico City street food tour with 5 Mexican Guys, we headed to Taquería Los Cocuyos, a legendary taco stall in the heart of the center of the city. The tacos are amazing, and it was the perfect was to end this day of incredible Mexican food.
Tacos de cabeza - 17 MXN ($0.91) each

Again, thank you to Moises and 5 Mexican Guys for reaching out! Check them out here:

Mexican Street Food in Tijuana ???????? INSANE TACOS TOUR IN MEXICO ????(Part 2)

????Watch - Tijuana Street Food (Part 1):
????Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue:
????100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

Ultimate Mexican street food tour of Tijuana, Mexico (Part 2). This was actually the same day as Part 1, but there were so many tacos, I had to split the video in two. We continued this epic Mexican street food tour with seafood tacos, the original Caesar’s salad, carne asada, and the fastest taco maker in the world! #Tijuana #MexicanFood #streetfood

Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( for arranging this tour. When you’re in Santa Monica, go eat at his restaurant, Heroic Italian ( where you’ll find the best sandwich. Also, thanks to Scott Koenig: for setting this tour up.

Mariscos el Mazateño - Shrimp Enchilado - This place was absolutely amazing - and I knew it was going to be good when we walked in in the middle of the afternoon and it was packed. We had a couple different tacos, including the marlin with octopus, but the winner was the shrimp enchilado, a huge taco stuffed with spiced shrimp and cheese.

Caesar's Hotel - Original Caesar’s salad - Although this doesn’t fit in the Mexican street food theme, there was no way we could visit Tijuana without trying the original Caesar’s salad - where Caesar Cardini invented it. It was awesome, to see the entire process made before you and it was everything it needed to be, no more and no less. Must eat when you’re in Tijuana, Mexico.

Tacos El Vaquero - Carne Asada - This small stall late at night in Tijuana is a winner - their Sonoran style carne asada is out of this world. They grill up steaks of your choice, slice them up, into tortillas, and you have a choice of salsa. Absolutely stunning.

Tacos Fitos - Tijuana, Mexico - Finally, this is the tacos tall in Tijuana that we missed in the morning the day before because they had already sold out. But we came back the next morning. Not only are their Tijuana red oil birria tacos the best I’ve ever had, but their taco master is by far the fastest taco maker I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable, you will have dreams about Tacos Fitos.

That wraps up this insane ultimate Mexican street food tacos tour of Tijuana, Mexico. Thank you for watching!

Ultimate Mexican Street Food Tour!! MEAT JUICE TACOS + Sonoran Hot Dogs in Tucson, Arizona!!

???? Eating the Original Chimichanga:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

TUCSON, ARIZONA - Welcome to Tucson, Arizona, a small city, with huge heart and a lot of delicious Mexican food. Today we’re going on an ultimate Mexican street food tour of Tucson, and I can’t wait to share all the food with you today!

Friends in the video:
???? Adam Lehrman: (
???? Jeffrey Merrihue: - Stop by at Heroic Italian ( in Santa Monica and say Hi to Jeffrey who is there most days!
???? Mexi Papa: @mexipapaadventures (

Here are all the street food stalls, trucks, and restaurants we ate at:

Taqueria El Rapido: - We started off with Taqueria El Rapido a laid back food truck selling a variety of different tacos. Mexi Papa ordered a combination taco for all of us, including asada, tripa, and cabeza, three wonderful different textures. It was a delicious taco and a great way to begin this food tour.

El Guero Canelo Restaurant: - Sonoran hot dogs are one of the most popular foods in Tucson, and there are many to choose from. We decided on El Guero Canelo as it’s one of the most legendary, historical, and because this restaurant has even received a James Beard award - an award winning hot dog. It didn’t disappoint, a delicious creation.

Rollies Mexican Patio: - Next up for a modern twist to local Tucson Mexican food - Rollies. We had rolled tacos, flat enchiladas, carne asada fries, birria tacos, and birria ramen. You could taste the quality and amazing flavors. Great laid back spot with delicious Mexican Tucson style food.

Cocteleria La Palma Mariscos: - When you have the meat sweats, head over to Cocteleria La Palma Mariscos for their ceviche and coctels. The mix of seafood was extremely refreshing and perfect for the hot afternoon in Arizona. I also thought their ceviche shrimp tostada was fantastic.

Tacos De Cabeza Estilo Cajeme: - Finally, probably one of my favorite places on this Mexican street food tour and favorite places in Tucson is Tacos De Cabeza Estilo Cajeme, where they specializes in head and tongue tacos. The owners are extremely friendly and their tacos will melt in your mouth.

And that completes this ultimate Mexican street food tour in Tucson, Arizona. We all really enjoyed it. Tucson has so much character, unique food, and friendly people.

???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

TUCSON, ARIZONA - Welcome to Tucson, Arizona, one of the best Mexican food cities in the United States, and one of the great places to eat Sonoran Mexican food. When it comes to Sonoran food, the King of all dishes is carne asada, or grilled steak - grilled meat. In Northern Mexico is where they have cattle ranches that produce the best beef in the country. Tucson has many authentic local restaurants and street food stalls that specialize in carne asada, and today we’re going on an ultimate carne asada tour of Tucson!

Thanks to my friends Carlos and Annette for joining us on this tour and Alejandro (if you’re in Tucson and need transportation, look him up).

???? Los Tacos Apson ( - First place is Los Tacos Apson one of the best taquerias for carne asada in Tucson, and one of the best in the United States! They have a variety of things from the grill, including beef ribs, steak cuts, calf testicles, and a few other unique parts. They grill everything over mesquite to give all meat an amazing smoky taste. Their tacos and ribs and outstanding!

???? El Guero Canelo ( - Next up we met up with the owner of El Guero Canelo to taste his version of carne asada. He grills his high quality beef over mesquite and the burritos are huge. I love their salsa and toppings bar.

???? Taqueria Aqui Con El Nene ( - Continuing on this Mexican street food tour, Taqueria Aqui Con El Nene is another place that specializes in carne asada, especially Obregon style. Their taco yaqui, with includes carne asada, mushrooms, and bacon all melted within an open faced green chile and settled onto two overlapping flour tortillas is insanely delicious.

???? Karamelo King ( - Finally to complete this Mexican street food tour in Tucson, we went to Karamelo King to eat a karamelo, which is basically a stuffed quesadilla. They grill the carne asada fresh, then melt cheese on a tortilla, load it up with toppings, and serve it with onions and salsas on the side. It’s absolutely spectacular!

And that completes this ultimate King of carne asada, Mexican street food tour in Tucson, Arizona - again one of the best Mexican food cities in the United States!

We are having all things BIRRIA for breakfast at Birria Los Güeros De Juanacatlan! Birria tacos, birria consome and super hot broth. The beef literally MELTS in your mouth! The beef are already smothered in the consome, but with an extra bowl you can drown the tacos in the rich, spicy broth. Super delicious!

For our second street food of the day, we walked to Las Flautas De Tacubaya to try their famous Flautas. Flautas are a rolled tortilla with a meat filling that is fried in oil, then they are topped with cabbage and an amazing red salsa. These are crunchy and bursting with flavour. They are so addictive! They also served a special drink known as Tepache, which is a fermented pineapple and brown sugar drink. The Tepache really helped cool down the spiciness of the Flautas.

Our next street food was the famous Mexican torta at Tortas El Chatín! These sandwiches are stuffed with meat, Oaxacan cheese and their homemade pickles. Each torta is made fresh to order and served piping hot. We were also recommended peach soda by the friendly owner. It was incredibly tasty!

It was time to try another renown Mexico City specialty - Huaraches, which are famously named after the shaped of the Mexican sandal. We went to El Huarache de Jamaica and ordered the Huarache Costilla. Huaraches are made from masa mixed with smashes pinto beans, made into an oval shape. It’s shallow fried and topped in red and green salsa, as well as cheese. It’s finally topped with a grilled rib steak. These are super filling and are an entire meal on their own.

Since we were in the neighbourhood, we walked to Mercado Jamaica. This is primarily a flower market, but there are tons of spices, nuts and local produce spread around the market. Since we were so full of amazing Mexican food, we decided to try one last small street food snack. At the edge of the market there was a roasted corn stall. Corn is one of the most important crops in Mexico, and when the cob is grilled over charcoal, it creates a smoky and crunchy snack. It was topped in chilli salt and lime juice and was the perfect way to end a day of eating street food in Mexico!

To start our Mexican Street Food tour we headed out for breakfast on the street with some Torta de Tamal and Rice with Milk. It was extremely filling but delicious! Tamal with bread is so good!

Next we hit up El Churrito Market, where we ate some delicious Enchiladas at Jugueria Lupita. We had a Green Enchiladas and a Mole Enchiladas. The Mole won was probably one of my favorite dishes in Mexico ever!

We then walked over to La Condesa to eat some Torta de Chilaquiles at Esquina de Chilaquiles. I love Chilaquiles, and the sandwich was extremely yummy! Remember these are very filling because of the bread.

Now we needed a break from food so we went to Pulqueria La Pirata to try some Pulque. This is a Mexican drink made from the sap of the Algarve plant. It's really heavy but it's delicious!

To end the day we visited El Moro Churreria to eat some delicious Churros. This fried dough is covered in sugar, then we dip it into hot chocolate and eat! I ate this a lot in Spain but these were on par with those in Madrid.

I hope you loved this Heavenly Breaded Mexican Street Food video with La Ruta de la Garnacha. If you did, please give me a thumbs up, leave me a comment below and subscribe to my channel!

Mexico City's MOST WANTED Street Food ???????? DANGEROUS TACO HOT POT! Mexican Street Food Tour in CDMX!

Click here ➡️ to get a 2-year plan + 4 additional months with a huge discount!

???? This is our last day in CDMX so we have to eat all of the delicious Mexican food we didn’t on the previous 2 episodes… Stay tuned until the end for a massive food tour of Mexico City!

For breakfast, we stopped into Los Especiales for their Tacos de Canasta (basket tacos). These are tacos that are filled with stew, smothered in oil and steamed in a basket. These are commonly had for breakfast and we ordered their adobo variety.

While exploring the Zócalo area, we ordered a Coca-Cola, which are quite special in Mexico. A Mexican coke is produced using cane sugar, instead of corn syrups. Overall the Mexican Coke tastes better and the cane sugar makes the flavours very sweet. This was a popular request from our comment section on the previous two Mexico episodes.

There is a local institution in Zócalo as well that specializes in churros. We went into Churrería El Moro and ordered a plate of churros (4 churros) with cinnamon and sugar on top. We also ordered their Mexican Hot Chocolate. It was quite delicious to dip the churros into the hot chocolate and the churros were served straight from the deep-fry!

Before we attempted another bite of food, we walked off some calories by visiting Mercado de San Juan. It is a relatively calm and clean market, where you can find a range of Mexican produce, meats, fish and more. For the adventurous tourists, you can also try some unique snacks, like scorpions, insects and spiders.

Outside of the Zócalo area is an incredible taco stall we needed to try. Tacos El Paisa is the definition of street food and you could tell that this was a local spot. Here they serve tacos de suadero. Suadero is a specific cut of meat, either beef or pork, that bubbles away in a rich and spicy looking oil. Fatty and lean chunks saturated in oil are served on tortilla and you eat counter-side with the chef. The chef was friendly and even offered us the rest of his brandy! These were the BEST tacos we had in all of Mexico City!!!

To end our last day in CDMX strong, we went back to our hotel and ordered some Mexican tequila cocktails. One was made with fresh juices and 3 types of tequila, and the other was made with tequila, lemon juice and sparkling soda. We stayed at the Hilton Reforma, which we found to be an excellent location for exploring Mexico City.

That’s it for Mexico City! We hope you enjoyed these episodes and make sure to stay tuned because we are heading to Oaxaca!!! Make sure to like this video and subscribe so that you never miss an episode. OAXACA STREET FOOD tour up next!!!
