Ultimate Dominican STREET FOOD Tour of Roseau, Dominica! Endless CARIBBEAN FOOD and Market!

I've never seen a market like this! The Biggest Market in Roseau on the island of Dominica absolutely blew me away with its amazing food, culture, history, and people. The bustling market was filled with incredible Caribbean Food and Street Food. I could have stayed there for ages just wandering through the streets.

With another morning on the tropical island of Dominica ahead of me, I kicked off my
day with a market tour of its capital, Roseau!

BOLO’S MOBILE: At the Bolo’s Mobile cart outside, I got a saltfish and herring
sandwich made with a hot dog bun. The fluffy bun and briny meat were fantastic with
the pepper sauce! I also enjoyed a passion fruit and sorrel juice.

ROSEAU MARKET: Inside the market, we saw lots of vendors selling a variety of things:
clothing, household items, and fresh produce. I tried some delicious crab backs and
bush rum, sugarcane, tender coconut and coconut water, cow skin, saltfish & bake, and
pommecythere juice. Everything was fantastic!

COCONUT VENDOR: We then drove to a coconut vendor with a truck full of coconuts.
The coconut was monstrous and full of water and meat. It was the sweetest coconut
water I’d ever had in my life, and the meat was sweet, too!

FOOTBALL HOUSE: This building also houses the Dominica Football Association
offices. It’s the only place on the island where you can buy authentic Dominica jerseys. I
bought one for about $40 USD!

FRESHWATER LAKE AND TRAFALGAR FALLS: From there, we drove uphill through
the jungle to Freshwater Lake, the largest lake on the island. You can swim and kayak
there, but obey the signs for your safety. Then, we drove to Trafalgar Falls, which are
twin waterfalls in the jungle. It takes 10 minutes to hike through the rainforest to reach
them. They’re spectacular!

Eating Only Dominican Food for 24 Hours. Is it Good? ???? Best Food in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic

The Best Food in the Dominican Republic! This week we're trying Dominican food (and Caribbean food) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We make our way around the Colonial Zone (Zona Colonial) of Santo Domingo to try a bunch of different dishes, including some traditional Dominican foods, desserts and some higher end dishes.

We start off at a place called Mix Empanadas on the main pedestrian road called El Conde. Here we try a couple of different empanadas plus some fresh juice.

Our next stop brings us to a more local place called Exquisiteces Virginia. Here we try two local chicken dishes - one is chicken croquettes and the other is a chicken pastelito.

We switched directions at our next place. We stopped at Corner Cafe to try some Dominican desserts. We tried flan as well as Majarete (corn pudding).

We took a break and a few hours later went out for dinner. After checking a few places that ended up being way too loud for filming we ended up at Leandro Díaz y su Casa Gastronómica Dominicana. We tried a couple of different dishes including Dominican Mofongo with pork belly and and a baked orange chicken.

We tried the 5 BEST DISHES in the Dominican Republic ???? Puerto Plata Food & Living

In this video we're eating (more) Dominican Food! We're making our way around Cabarete to try some very typical and traditional dishes/foods from the Dominican Republic.

We start off at the main beach in Cabarete where there are loads of restaurants. We go to a popular restaurant called Lax Ojo to try two very typical dishes. The first is a typical Dominican breakfast with mashed plantains called Mangú and is also served with fried eggs, fried salami and fried cheese. The second dish is a very typical Dominican lunch called La Bandera (the Dominican Flag), which consists or rice, red beans, salad, and meat (in this case chicken).

Our second stop was a more typical Dominican restaurant called Happy Family. Here we have an appetizer of chicken croquettes. Next up we try the most recommended dish from the Dominican Republic called Sancocho. Sancocho is a Dominican stew made from a whole bunch of different meats and vegetables. Lastly we tried Dominican Mofongo which is made of mashed plantains and in this case topped with chicken.

As I continued exploring the city of Portsmouth, Dominica, I was joined by a special guest: the former mayor, Julian Brewster. He welcomed me to Portsmouth on behalf of the community and teased the amazing things I’d see in the market.

MARKET: We began our Saturday morning with a tour of the local market. We saw lots of produce vendors selling coconuts, plantains, breadfruit, and other fruits and vegetables. I tried some coconut water and tender coconut meat, and saw vendors butchering meat and fish!

UNIVERSAL TAILOR SHOP: At Universal Tailor Shop just off the market, I bought a local head scarf. They also sell Creole ties and other garments!

CLAVIA’S LOCAL CUISINE: At this food stand in the covered part of the market, I tried some crab callaloo and codfish accra, which were both outstanding. The crab callaloo came in a nice, rich gravy with dumplings, and the codfish accra was a delicious, crispy fish cake.

The BEST Chicharron! A Hidden Gem, Dominican Food in Corona, NYC - La Cabaña

In this video of NYC food around the world, I'm taking you to a hidden gem at Corona, Queens, NYC.

This spot serves authentic Dominican food and has some of the BEST chicharrón I've had anywhere! This place also has other traditional items such as pastelito, quipe, bollito, papa relleno, etc. The place is small and packed; the pace is fast and there isn't much service, but the food is absolutely great!

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO - Welcome to Port of Spain, the Capital of Trinidad and Tobago islands in the Caribbean! I’m so excited to finally be here. So many of you have written to me over the years inviting me to visit for the amazing food and culture, so it’s really an honor to finally be here and to explore the incredible food. Let’s get started eating, we’re jumping straight into a massive 20 hour day of eating local street food!

Huge thank you to #visitTrinidad for inviting me to Trinidad and Tobago and for making this trip happen!

Friends in the video:
Zaak (Foodie Tales with Zaak):
Baidawi (Eatahfood):
David (D’Market Movers):
Brent (Hungry Belly 868):

And here’s everything we did in the video, and all the food we ate:

Central Market - We started off today at the Central Market in Port of Spain, bright and early in the morning before 7 am. And with Baidawi and David, who go to the market every weekend to do their shopping and have breakfast, we were in the right hands. After exploring the market and the amazing produce and ingredients that go into food in Trinidad and Tobago we then headed to the food court for some local fish broth and cow heel soup.

EatAhFood - Baidawi makes fantastic food videos, especially recipes, and so we bought ingredients and headed back to his house to cook Callaloo, an Afro Caribbean food of simmered down taro leaves and pumpkin and coconut milk. It was so good!

Roti - One of the greatest of all Trinidadian foods is roti - different from anywhere else. The rotis are huge and fresh and then stuffed with pumpkin, potato, and curry of your choice. An afternoon bulging roti with Zaak, was absolutely delicious.

Queens Park Savannah - Port of Spain - To continue on with this street food tour in Trinidad and Tobago, we went to Queens Park Savannah for a coconut and then continued on to the evening street food market to sample a bunch of different local foods - everything from doubles to pholourie and roast fish.

Yousef Gyro ( - Trinidad and Tobago is so diverse and there’s even a local Middle Eastern population including Yousef Gyro, owned by descendants of Syrian immigrants. They make all sorts of wraps and gyros and combinations you won’t find anywhere else. This is the ultimate late night food in Trinidad!

Dass Doubles Factory ( - We did have a quick doubles at the street food night market, but we went to Dass Doubles Factory for the real deal late night doubles. They made the barras fresh and load them up with heavy peppa sauce and delicious curry chickpeas.

Hadco Phase II Pan Groove Orchestra Pan Yard ( - Finally to complete this day we were treated to a panyard lime to see the ultimate instrument of Trinidad and Tobago - steel pan! It was so cool to see and an amazing way to wrap up this ultimate street food tour - and they have delicious food!

Again, thank you to everyone who made this video possible and to #visitTrinidad!
