Izmir - a very fascinating province for several reasons. It is very different from any other Turkish city. People say it is more relaxed and livable. You can feel the wind and the sea air. Nobody seems to be in a rush and people are very warm hearted. Izmir, the city of peace and I had 2 weeks to explore this beautiful place.

One Day in Datça, Turkey | Aegean Sea, Eski Datça, Wild Donkeys, Turkish Food | Oh So Pom
Spend one day in Datça, Turkey with me and see amazing Aegean Sea views, walk through Eski Datça, observe wild donkeys, try some delicious Turkish food (including their famous almond soda), and relax in my favorite Turkish seaside town. Turkey has so much beautiful scenery (like Palamutbükü beach), but the calm and serenity offered in this little slice of heaven can't be beat. Then we climb back up to the most beautiful forest you've ever seen, then down again (Turkey is hilly!) to the ancient site of Pergamon, above the modern city of Bergama.

Pamukkale, literally means Cotton Castle due to this natural phenomenon that looks like a castle of fluffy cotton when seen from distance. It is formed by the world’s largest deposit of travertine, a type of limestone formed by the calcium-rich water from the springs.

18:10 Nazilli: Kısmet Pide Salonu restaurant on the way to Alaçatı . Three pide with toppings of minced meat, kashar cheese and eggs and for dessert the Tahini Pide which is a sesame and butter pide topped with sprinkles of walnuts and a dollop of cream. The entire meal cost just TL50 with impeccable service.

Turkey's Most Vegetarian-Friendly Cuisine: Aegean
Turkish cuisine is very diverse and depending on the region, the main ingredients and flavors change drastically. The Aegean coast of Turkey is very famous for its vegetarian-friendly cuisine that is plant-based and olive oil is a big part of any dish from this region.
If you are a fan of Turkish cuisine but you get tired of eating kebab every day, dishes from the Aegean coast will come to rescue. When it comes to Turkish food, there is a common misconception that goes as Turkish cuisine consists of Kebabs and meat-based dishes. However, especially in the Western part of Turkey, dishes are usually made plant-based, with plenty of fresh veggies and herbs.
If you want to experience the Aegean cuisine, visit Alaçatı, İzmir for two of the freshest plant-based dishes of the region: Stuffed Zucchini Flower and Radish Greens Salad. For this video, we are the guests of one of the top chefs of Alaçatı's dining scene: Chef Mustafa from Avrasya Lokantası. He shows us how to make stuffed zucchini flowers and radish greens salad, two of the best plant based Turkish dishes of Alaçatı, İzmir.
