A bucket list safari with Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti
With its central Serengeti location, Four Seasons Safari Lodge waits to welcome you and your loved ones for a bucket list safari adventure. The Serengeti measures close to 15,000 km2 (5,700 sq. mi.). It is, therefore, no wonder that Serengeti translates from Maasai into English as “the land of endless plains”.
The park is acclaimed for the best game drives and abundant year-round wildlife. The famous
Great Migration features more than two million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra. Also resident are the “Big Five” must-see animals for every Serengeti safari: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceros – with cats and elephants in particular abundance. The Serengeti plains are home to over 500 bird species making it a ‘twitcher’s’ paradise.
Four Seasons Safari Lodge is located in the Central Serengeti, a 50-minute drive from Seronera airstrip, which is a one-hour flight from Arusha, the main hub for all travel in northern Tanzania.
Some of the highlights within reach of the Lodge include:
• Ngorongoro Crater – This 2,000ft deep crater was originally formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is home to the highest density of big game in Africa, making it a top safari destination.
• Olduvai Gorge – A famous paleoanthropological site, this gorge has revealed some of the most important archaeological evidence of human evolution in history. Deposits exposed in the sides of the gorge cover a time span from about 2.1 million to15,000 years ago and include remains of more than 60 hominids (primitive humans).
• The Mara River - In northern Serengeti, the Mara River is the home to dramatic wildlife sightings as the magnificent herds of the Great Migration across the flooding waters - teeming with hungry crocodiles.

Luxury meets Safari | Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti
STORY || This year our Junior Creative Phoebe ‘Bz’ had the opportunity to check out the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania, which you may have already seen from our trailer. She had a few days there to capture the resort in all its glory, we were not jealous at all of course… but thanks to her stunning photographs (if you’re following us on the socials you will have seen them), we felt like we were right there with her.
The Safari Lodge Serengeti is in the middle of the Savannah, to get there you must hop on a small propeller plane for an hour, and then drive through the Serengeti National park for 45x mins, which is an amazing experience in itself. The lodge is awesome and with the infinity pool that over looks a water hole, 3x restaurants, a fitness centre, discovery centre and a beautiful spa it really does tick all the boxes. This really is a journey from start to finish, indulging in some luxury R&R, to then eating dinner in the middle of the bush… Stunning. On top of that, we have to give a big up to the staff and General Manger Martin, who are simply exceptional in every way.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti: Hakuna Matata!!
We went to Africa!!! It really was a once in a lifetime trip.
We spent 4 nights at the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a Terrace Suite. The room was huge, and featured 2 full bathrooms and an outdoor shower.
Grounds at the hotel were beautiful, but what really set this hotel apart was the staff. Special shout out to our man Joseph!
We did a full day game drive, took a hot air balloon ride, and ate tons of great food.

Our trip to Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania was magical! Not many places where you can see a herd of elephants drinking from a waterhole right from your swimming pool :)
We had to take a small 13 seat aircraft, a drive to cross the border between Kenya and Tanzania, and another small aircraft from an open-air airport with an unpaved runway at Tarime airstrip to get to the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. As soon as we were handed the champagne flutes at the Seronera Airport, we knew we were in for a treat. After a welcome drink and some refreshments, we headed into the heart of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves - Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.

Half museum exhibit, and half lecture theatre, the Discovery Centre at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti is an interactive and inspirational place for guests to learn about and reflect on African culture, wildlife and history. It is the first Lodge-based centre for conservation research and education in the Serengeti and allows guests to gain a deep understanding of the region.
The Centre allows guests to explore the Serengeti’s key attributes through a series of displays, exhibition boards, interactive presentations and more. While guests can enjoy the exhibits at their leisure, the Lodge’s experts are also on hand to offer assistance and periodic focus talks will be offered by guest speakers.
In addition to the Discovery Centre, the team of experts are closely involved with a number of the Serengeti’s wildlife research and conservation projects, and there are opportunities for guests to get involved with special research projects. The activities include using the latest photographic techniques to track and identify animals and allow guests to personally monitor the behaviour and movements of wildlife around the Lodge during their stay.
