Would you Die for the perfect shot?????? Hanoi's Most Dangerous Instagram Spot: Train Street
In Vietnamese cities, traffic is famously chaotic, with motorbikes weaving through cars in a perilous manner. However, there is a narrow residential street in Hanoi less than 300 feet long that is exempt from this chaos, located between Le Duan and Kham Thin near the Old Quarter. The reason for this is because a Simi high-speed train passes through twice a day, rendering the street off-limits to vehicular traffic.
Despite the narrowness of the lane, locals treat the tracks like any other street for most of the day. They cycle over the wooden ties and children play there. However, when they hear the approaching train, they quickly retreat into their homes or press themselves against the walls.
Train street has been closed several times because of some tourists jumping in front of the train to capture the perfect shot. But as of the time of making this video, train street is reopened but you will have to go through a guarded gate and be assigned to a coffee.
The trains, are scheduled to pass through twice a day, at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. It should be noted that the trains will not slow down, even if there are people on the tracks, making it a dangerous attraction.
In this video, I will take you to this iconic place in Hanoi, a place that was made famous using the power of social media.

Hey everyone, Sam Newton here.
This was a pretty special film for me to put together. Not only is it a collection of some of my favorite shots from my all around the world, it also showcases some of my favorite memories with other creatives who I am lucky enough to call my friends. This piece is an ode to all photographers and videographers that don’t just sit around and wait to be inspired, but actually get up and go. Being a travel photographer/videographer is a job that takes a very specific type of person, someone who is borderline obsessive and dedicated to his or her craft, but it is a truly rewarding profession that has given me a true reason to live, and I believe with the right amount of crazy its a life anyone can have. I hope this connects with a few of you, and hopefully is the spark you need to grab your camera, get outside, and go chase your not so perfect shot.

For 13 days my friend Alex and I traveled around the entire island discovering all the beautiful sights this awesome country has to offer. We drove about 2200 km, camped on some really cool campsites, slept in the car whenever it was impossible to built up our tent and saw some of the most amazing landscapes you could ever imagine. On the hunt for the perfect shot we had to brave the weather in all its forms from freezing cold wind over heavy rain to glorious blue sky!
