Al Rabi Hiking Trail is yet another hiking route I recommend to anyone who wants to experience UAE outdoors. Al Rabi Tower used to be an important part of the defense tower in Khorfakkan. Al Rabi is by far one of the best UAE hikes for those who want spectacular views at a minimum effort.

Khor Fakkan is a town on the Gulf of Oman, in the United Arab Emirates. It centers on Khor Fakkan Bay, home to the curved Khor Fakkan Beach and a deep-sea port. A promenade runs along the beachfront, against the backdrop of the dramatic Hajar Mountains. Archaeological sites include ancient graves and a ruined Portuguese fort. West of town is Wadi Wurayah, a biodiverse mountain area with waterfalls and natural pools.
We took the afternoon to go and visit Khor Fakkan but as we got there we realized we should have taken the whole day. Khore Fakka has many places to visit and as it is close to Fujairah it is a must to stay in Khor Fakkan overnight and go visit Fujairah the day after.
There are many things to do in Khor Fakkan and this place should be on your list of places to visit in Dubai and things to do in Dubai, because Khor Fakkan is only 1 and a half hour away form dubai and its a very beautiful place.
We didn't manage to see everything in one afternoon in Khor Fakkan but we are coming back to see the rest and maybe spend the night there.
We visited the Al Rafisah Dam, the Al Rafisah Dam is a very beautiful area when you can spend the day kayaking and having fun, if you are visit Khor Fakkan you should visit Al Rafisah Dam.
Before we went to Al Rafisah Dam we were in the Wadi Shees, the Wadi Shees is a very old town where you have a 30 min trail that goes inside the town, wadi shees have a running stream of potable water and that makes it a must to have wadi shees on your list of things to do in khor Fakkan.
We after went hiking next to the rabi tower, the name of the hike is Rabi Tower Hiking Trail, and if you are in Khor Fakkan with time you should do this Rabi Towerr Hiking trail as you will have an amazing view over the whole Khor Fakkan.

Khorfakkan is a town on the Gulf of Oman, in the United Arab Emirates. It centers on Khorfakkan Bay, home to the curved Khofakkan Beach and a deep-sea port. A promenade runs along the beachfront, against the backdrop of the dramatic Hajar Mountains.
One of the best hiking trails for the beginners, family and kids. Its only 120 meter elevation from the sea level and it can be completed within the 45 minutes. You must reach here before sunrise and you will have stunning view of the Sunrise from here.

Continuing our quest to find great places in UAE, this one is the Snoopy Island in Fujairah.

Its an amazing place to spend the day if you don't know what to do in Dubai. If you're asking where is snoopy island location, is about 1 and half hours from Dubai and you arrive to Fujairah.
There are many things to do in Fujairah and this place should be on your list of places to visit in Duabi and things to do in Dubai. We were su[[ose to see more things that day but as the other place was close we only went to the snoopy island in fujairah. Snoopy island fujairah is a must for you to add on your things to do in fujairah as you can do snorkeling, diving and see many colored fish and beautiful nature.
We stayed the day in Sandy Beach Hotel resort and the snoopy island is about 2 minutes swim from there, if the tide is very low you can practically walk to the snoopy island.
If you are in Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah it is a must to add snoopy island fujairah in you list of things to do In Dubai and Places to visit in Dubai.

Wow, a hike (well, more of a walk) that is surrounded in flowing fresh water and an endless amount of green vegetation in the United Arab Emirates. Wadi Shees is a rarity in this Gulf country but once you've watched the video you'll want to explore the area, especially if you live in the UAE.
The drive to Wadi Shees is easy and hassle free (directions below). From the E611 you'll turn east onto the S142 road. It's the new road that connects Sharjah on the west coast to Khor Fakkan on the east coast.
A warning for you - the S142 does not have a petrol station so make sure you are topped up before you set off.
The Wadi Shees trail is a special place. For most of the walk you will follow the path of a Falaj system that was built over 3000 years ago and directs fresh rain water that has collected in underground wells in the mountaintops to local communities and farmland. Seeing (and hearing) this fresh water flow is such a refreshing sight (and sound) in a country that only on average gets less than 100mm annually.
There are so many reasons to do this walk in the United Arab Emirates, not least to be surrounded by fresh water and vegetation in a otherwise desert country but to see the engineering marvel of the Falaj system is on its own a brilliant experience. I fully recommend a visit.

How to get to Wadi Shees:
Wadi Shees is available on Google maps
From the E611 turn east along the new S142 in Sharjah
Drive for about 50 minutes towards Khor Fakkan
Once you have passed through the first tunnel turn right to Wadi Shees
Drive past Shees Park and downhill to the start point

Extra info:
Wadi Shees is about an hour's drive from Dubai.
There are no bathroom facilities during the walk.
There is plenty of shade throughout the walk.
You are not allowed to swim in the fresh water reservoir which you pass on the trail.
Keep the trail tidy taking any litter with.
Simple trainers will be sufficient footwear.

- Well signposted and trails in good condition.
- Hike duration is around 4 hours on average.
- A challenging hike but suited to anyone with a good level of fitness - the hike should not be underestimated and you should embark on the trail prepared.
- Be sure to have a sunhat, sunscreen, plenty of water, a charged mobile phone and food.

How to get to Al Rabi Mountain:
- Search for Al Rabi Tower in Google Maps which will guide you to the hike car park
- Car park for hikers is at the bottom of the tarmac road that leads up to Al Rabi Tower
- There is parking at the Tower itself but this is for Tower visitors only
- Journey duration is 90 minutes from the downtown end of Dubai

Al Rabi Tower Hiking - Fujairah | Khor Fakkan | Short video
This is a short glimpse of hiking at Al Rabi tower.It is one of the top three hiking spots in UAE. It is located at Fujairah, Khorfakkan near to the beach.There is 2.5 kms hike which takes approximately 2-2.5 hours to reach the top. You can witness the aerial view of Khorfakkan city at one side and Gulf of Oman at the other side and the sunrise view is bliss at this spot. Its highly reccommended for all people, best for beginners.
