When nothing is planned, anything can happen. My plans looked different but due to visa problems with another country I spontaneously decided to go to Laos. And it was one of my best decisions. I´m still overwhelmed with this country. The landscape, the people, the food, ... Just so cool, friendly and delicious. You don´t need the sea to be happy there. Just go with the flow and you will know what I mean.
Due to Covid, the country just reopened 3 weeks before and I didnt´t see many tourists (which I really liked :)) Of course it was more difficult to get around and also many tourist based companies closed. For example Hostels, transportation services, boat trips, etc.
I spend 3 weeks there and came from Thailand. I started in Luang Prabgang, went to Nong Khiaw, Muang Noi, Vang Vieng, Pakse and to the 4000 islands. I did many of this legs with the scooter.
If you are a Solo traveler, I´m sure you will love this country, the culture and the people. Really stunning.

LAOS Road Trip: Amazed by the BEAUTY of Laos ????????
After arriving in Thakhek, central Lao, we set off early in the morning to get a head start on our EPIC road trip. In the last video, we started in the capital of Laos, Vientiane and made our way to Thakhek, from which we will do the Thakhek loop and then drive down to Pakse.
After spending a day in Thakhek planning the route and where to stay, we are ready to head towards our next destination, Thalang. Along the first part of the Thakhek Loop, we see some gorgeous landscapes, have some yummy food, and enjoy the journey for exactly what it is! Our car has been the most fantastic choice, and Bertie the Beast isn’t lacking today either - what an amazing way to start this road trip properly! Laos has so many beautiful landscapes!

I came here in search of the most remote tribe in the country (which I discovered on the border of Myanmar), but along the way, I filmed this $10 video in some of the remote towns and villages.
