San Pedro de Atacama ● UNGLAUBLICH SCHÖNE LANDSCHAFTEN IN DER ATACAMA WÜSTE ● Weltreise Vlog #057

Viel Spaß mit dem Video!

Unexplored Mysteries Of The Gobi Desert | Desert And Life

The Gobi's Hidden Treasures: Asia's Largest Desert

The Gobi desert can be above 40 degrees in summer and minus 40 degrees in winter - humans and animals depend on each other to survive.
Deserts are the most haunting of all the Earth’s landscapes. Sometimes we think of them as vast empty spaces that dwarf and test our human spirit. But that view is wrong in so many ways.
They are full of colour and contrast. There are mountains and lagoons among the dunes and plains. They often teem with life and are rich in resources. Their peoples have remarkable qualities of ingenuity and endurance, wisdom and humour – their festivals and gatherings full of colour and energy.

The Dark Side Of Santiago: When Success Costs Lives | Crossing The Andes | TRACKS

Stef visits South America's tallest building in Santiago, Chile's capital. The tower was originally built as a symbol of development, but now it symbolises the evil side of that success story: high rates of depression and suicide.
The tallest building in South America rises from the fog of Santiago, a symbol of the country's powerful neoliberal economic system. However, someone jumps off it roughly every month. Depression rates are higher nowhere else than in this metropolis of exceptional economic success.

PICA, THE HAND & AN OASIS- CHILE CAMPERVAN SERIES- BACKPACK CHILE ????????

The next part of our epic Chile Camper van series. This time we travel Chile and arrive in the lovely oasis town of Pica.

There were a few stops on the way. First we pull off of route 5 to visit the Mano del desierto or The hand in the desert. This epic monument waves at motorists passing through the atacama desert and we had heard about this before even thinking about backpacking Chile.

We then drive along the Chilean coast where we stop for the night and have a dodgy game of golf.

Next we found some really cool geoglyphs carved into the side of the Chilean mountains, there were so many and so awe inspiring.

We finally end up in Pica where we explore the cute town, try some Chilean food and basically feel like we are on a holiday from a holiday ????

Follow our journey as we go backpacking South America.
