The trip around Moscow metro - The most beautiful metro in the world. Subway stations were used as air-raid shelters during the WWII. It was also meant to serve as the shelter in case of nuclear war. Many stations are decorated with beautiful painting, mosaics, and sculptures.

Exploring the Beautiful Moscow Metro
When we arrived in Moscow, we went on a walking tour with Strawberry Tours to explore the Moscow Metro System. We went to about 6-7 stations and had a great time visiting the Underground Palace.
This was Miguel's first time in the Moscow subway and he really enjoyed it! This is our little experience, if you liked watching it share it will a friend!

Opened in 1935 with one 11-kilometre (6.8 mi) line and 13 stations, it was the first underground railway system in the Soviet Union.
As of 2019, the Moscow Metro excluding the Moscow Central Circle and Moscow Monorail has 232 stations (263 with Moscow Central Circle) and its route length is 397.3 km (246.9 mi), making it the fifth longest in the world.
The system is mostly underground, with the deepest section 84 metres (276 ft) underground at the Park Pobedy station, one of the world's deepest.
It is the busiest metro system in Europe, and a tourist attraction in itself. As of 2017, the system had an average daily ridership of 6.99 million passengers. Peak daily ridership of 9.71 million was recorded on 26 December 2014.

Next we went to Novoslobodskaya station with its amazing stain-glass panel art. Then we rode the metro to Mayakovskaya station to see the Futurism art.

As of 2021, the Moscow Metro, excluding the Moscow Central Circle, the Moscow Central Diameters and the Moscow Monorail, has 250 stations (287 with Moscow Central Circle) and its route length is 435.7 km (270.7 mi), making it the fifth-longest in the world and the longest outside China. The system is mostly underground, with the deepest section 74 meters (243 ft) underground at the Park Pobedy station, one of the world's deepest underground stations. It is the busiest metro system in Europe, and is considered a tourist attraction in itself.
