Today, we're bringing you Foodrangin' for LOTS of TRADITIONAL and AUTHENTIC Iran Street Food - including the AMAZING 500 KG meat platter and going DEEP into one of the OLD BAZAARS of Tehran! We're also having Persian sandwiches and energy drinks too! My favourite was the butter kabab bowl1!

When you travel to Tehran, you will fall in love with the street food as soon as you arrive! Today, we're starting out with a local Iranian BREAKFAST haleem and NOODLE dish! Serving 100's of people every day!
It was found in downtown Tehran in an old bazaar, the Tajrish Bazaar, where there is hundreds of Iranian foods and spices to see!

After this, we're going DEEPER into Tehran by stepping into this HUGE BAZAAR, where there are 1000's of street foods and stalls to visit! This is before we bring you to a MASSIVE IRANIAN MEAT feast in a TRADITIONAL IRANIAN restaurant!
We found a MASSIVE bakery serving traditional Iranian food like Persian bread soaked with date syrup!
And then Mr. Taster brought us to the most buttery Koobideh kabab wrap! It was SOAKED with butter and incredibly juicy!
Next up, we're going to a local Iranian food served in LUXURY style, the PERSIAN MEAT PLATTER at Setaregan Ghaza in Tehran! Here, chef Kapitan Abhed uses his mastery to cook Iranian recipes and make the most tender kababs in the WORLD!
AND he covers it in a SAFFRON OIL and tomato onion sauce served with SAFFRON RICE!!
After tasting the meat platter in Tehran, Mr. Taster is bringing us to eat the MOST BUTTERY kabab bowl in Tehran, at Kabab Kasei Ardabil!

After getting my first taste of Iranian cuisine, my new friends and I headed off to explore the Grand Bazaar in Tehran, Iran! Come along with us as we check out this incredible place!
The market is huge and sells just about everything you can imagine, including clothing, kitchenware, carpets, food, and more. We found a shop that sells kitchen supplies, including wooden honey stirrers and some small kebab skewers. I bought them both for roughly $3 USD.

Mr. Taster is a local celebrity, so he gets stopped everywhere. This bazaar reminded me of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, but the colors on the ceiling were similar to the ones I saw in Uzbekistan, with the blues and yellows, and Islamic architecture and intricate designs.
We took a left and arrived in the Timcheh-e Hajeb-od-Dowleh, which is a courtyard where you’ll find lots of shops. You can bargain and negociate here!
Further on, we found copper saffron grinders, copper trays, tea cups, jars, vases, and more. I bought a saffron grinder before heading to get something to eat.
We found a vendor selling juicy and meaty dried apricot, sour and juicy yellow apricots, and delicious walnuts.
Further on, we found a jewelry market, where we found some gold and silver jewelry on our way to the restaurant. There, we’d be having a rice cake dish called tahchin.
In the kitchen, we saw them cooking lamb chops, kubideh, and lamb kebabs as well as chicken. They put a huge slab of the tahchin on top of the chicken and rice. The kebabs come out charred and crispy, and then they drench them in butter!
Next, we headed to another kitchen on the fourth floor, where they were making the tahchin. They put the rice in huge trays and drown it in a mixture of butter, egg, saffron, and yogurt. It becomes bright yellow and they flatten and press it in the pan before slicing it. Then it bakes for 20 minutes!
From there, we also saw them making kebabs and chicken before heading down to the open-air dining hall to eat. The tahchin looks like cornbread, but they top it with more rice, barberry, and pistachios. Underneath is chicken, eggplant, and rice.
You take a bit of chicken, rice, barberry, and tahchin. It was a nice mix of crispy tahchin, sweet eggplant, and juicy chicken. The tahchin was also moist and fluffy! The roasted eggplant was incredible, but the serving was so huge and filling!
Next, we jumped on Iran’s most famous stew, ghormeh sabzi, which contains red beans, lime, and lemon. It looked so dark, thick, and rich. You can have it with yogurt or onion. We poured it over the tahchin!
I loved the rich flavors of the lamb, green onion, lime, parsley, fenugreek, and kidney beans. Iran is the land of stews, and this one was unreal! I could have eaten it by itself!
Next were a lamb shank and bogali polow. The bogali polow contained saffron and dill. You break up the lamb shank and mix it with the pulao. It’s so fatty and unreal. The herbal flavor of the pulao blew my mind!
We finished with sholeh zard, a pudding made from rice, saffron, cinnamon, rose, and pistachios. It was spectacular and moist, but I was about to pop! Then, we headed to Taj Ali Darvish Tea House, the smallest teahouse in the world. It really is tiny and has been in business since 1918!
The owner gave me a special coin and served us a mint lemon saffron tea and Persian tea with rock candy and sugar cubes. You put the sugar cube in your mouth and sip the tea. The sugar dissolves and makes it super sweet. I loved the tea! What a tour!

The Grand Bazaar is an old historical bazaar in Tehran, Iran ????????

It is split into several corridors over 10 kilometers (6.2
mi) in length, each specializing in different types of goods,
and has several entrances, with Sabze-Meydan being the
main entrance.
In addition to shops, the Grand Bazaar contains mosques,
guest houses, and banks. It has access to the rapid transit
system of Tehran Metro through the stations of Khayam
and Khordad 15th.
15 Khordad Street (former name: Bouzarjomehri Street)
is one of the oldest streets in Tehran, which is located in
District 12 of Tehran Municipality. On the south side of this
street is Tehran Bazaar. The intersection of this street with
Khayyam Street (Tehran) is called Globandak Crossroads
and the 15 Khordad metro station is located at this
intersection. This street was called Bouzarjomehri Street
in the past and in the Pahlavi period.
The area around Tehran has been settled since at least the
6th millennium BC, and while bazaar-like constructions in
Iran as a whole has been dated as far back as the 4th
millennium BC, Tehran's bazaar is not that old. It is hard to
say precisely when the bazaar first appeared. Still, in the
centuries after the Muslim conquest of Iran, travelers
reported the growth of commerce in the area now
occupied by the current bazaar. The Grand Bazaar is thus
a continuation of this legacy.
Research indicates that a portion of today's bazaar
predated the growth of the village of Tehran by the time of
the Safavid Empire, although it was during and after this
period that the bazaar began to grow gradually. Western
travelers reported that by 1660 CE and beyond, the
bazaar area had still mainly been open and only partially
covered.
بازار تهران، یکی از مهمترین بازارهای کشور محسوب میشود که آن را بهعنوان قلب اقتصاد ایران میدانند؛ زیرا بسیاری از فعالیتهای اقتصادی در این محل رخ میدهد. این بازار که در بافت قدیمی تهران قرار دارد، یادگاری از عصر قاجار است که نهتنها برای گردشگران داخلی، بلکه برای گردشگران خارجی نیز جذاب و دیدنی است. علاوه بر این، بهلطف تنوع کالاها و قیمت ارزانتر، مقصدی عالی برای عاشقان خرید محسوب میشود.
بازار تهران همه چیز را در خود جای داده است؛ از سرا و تيمچه تا پاساژهای چند طبقه شیک، از رستوران سنتی تا فست فود، كاروانسرا، پياده راه، كالسكه و... که هر نوع سلیقهای را راضی نگه میدارد و به همین دلیل از قشر متوسط و ضعيف جامعه تا افراد ثروتمند گذرشان به این منطقه از تهران میافتد. از آنجا که بازار بزرگ یکی از جاهای دیدنی تهران است
بازار بزرگ تهران از مراکز اقتصادی و تاریخی مهم پایتخت و از جذابترین مراکز خرید تهران است که در سال ۱۳۵۶ در فهرست آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسید. این بازار که وسعت آن به حدود ۱۰۵ هکتار میرسد، به فروش انواع کالاها اختصاص دارد و شامل مجموعهای از خردهفروشها، عمدهفروشها، کارگاههای تولیدی، انبارهای کالا و... میشود. در واقع بسیاری از کارگاههای تولیدی در بازار تهران نمایندگی دارند و از همین رو این محل مرکز اصلی توزیع کالا در داخل کشور به حساب میآید.
با وجودی که بازار تهران، مهمترین و اصلیترین محل خریدوفروش کالا در ایران محسوب میشود، بناهای قدیمی و رستورانهای متعددی را در خود جای داده است که بازدید از آنها خالی از لطف نیست
بازار بزرگ تهران در منطقه ۱۲ پایتخت در استان تهران قرار دارد و از جنوب به خیابان مولوی، از شرق به خیابان مصطفی خمینی (سیروس)، از شمال به خیابان پانزده خرداد و از غرب به خیابان خیام منتهی میشود. چهارراه مولوی، میدان محمدیه و چهارراه سیروس در تقاطع این خیابانها قرار گرفتهاند.

The Grand Bazaar is an old historical bazaar in Tehran,
Iran

It is split into several corridors over 10 kilometers (6.2
mi) in length, each specializing in different types of goods,
and has several entrances, with Sabze-Meydan being the
main entrance.
In addition to shops, the Grand Bazaar contains mosques,
guest houses, and banks. It has access to the rapid transit
system of Tehran Metro through the stations of Khayam
and Khordad 15th.
15 Khordad Street (former name: Bouzarjomehri Street)
is one of the oldest streets in Tehran, which is located in
District 12 of Tehran Municipality. On the south side of this
street is Tehran Bazaar. The intersection of this street with
Khayyam Street (Tehran) is called Globandak Crossroads
and the 15 Khordad metro station is located at this
intersection. This street was called Bouzarjomehri Street
in the past and in the Pahlavi period.
The area around Tehran has been settled since at least the
6th millennium BC, and while bazaar-like constructions in
Iran as a whole has been dated as far back as the 4th
millennium BC, Tehran's bazaar is not that old. It is hard to
say precisely when the bazaar first appeared. Still, in the
centuries after the Muslim conquest of Iran, travelers
reported the growth of commerce in the area now
occupied by the current bazaar. The Grand Bazaar is thus
a continuation of this legacy.
Research indicates that a portion of today's bazaar
predated the growth of the village of Tehran by the time of
the Safavid Empire, although it was during and after this
period that the bazaar began to grow gradually. Western
travelers reported that by 1660 CE and beyond, the
bazaar area had still mainly been open and only partially
covered.
بازار تهران، یکی از مهمترین بازارهای کشور محسوب میشود که آن را بهعنوان قلب اقتصاد ایران میدانند؛ زیرا بسیاری از فعالیتهای اقتصادی در این محل رخ میدهد. این بازار که در بافت قدیمی تهران قرار دارد، یادگاری از عصر قاجار است که نهتنها برای گردشگران داخلی، بلکه برای گردشگران خارجی نیز جذاب و دیدنی است. علاوه بر این، بهلطف تنوع کالاها و قیمت ارزانتر، مقصدی عالی برای عاشقان خرید محسوب میشود.
بازار تهران همه چیز را در خود جای داده است؛ از سرا و تيمچه تا پاساژهای چند طبقه شیک، از رستوران سنتی تا فست فود، كاروانسرا، پياده راه، كالسكه و... که هر نوع سلیقهای را راضی نگه میدارد و به همین دلیل از قشر متوسط و ضعيف جامعه تا افراد ثروتمند گذرشان به این منطقه از تهران میافتد. از آنجا که بازار بزرگ یکی از جاهای دیدنی تهران است
بازار بزرگ تهران از مراکز اقتصادی و تاریخی مهم پایتخت و از جذابترین مراکز خرید تهران است که در سال ۱۳۵۶ در فهرست آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسید. این بازار که وسعت آن به حدود ۱۰۵ هکتار میرسد، به فروش انواع کالاها اختصاص دارد و شامل مجموعهای از خردهفروشها، عمدهفروشها، کارگاههای تولیدی، انبارهای کالا و... میشود. در واقع بسیاری از کارگاههای تولیدی در بازار تهران نمایندگی دارند و از همین رو این محل مرکز اصلی توزیع کالا در داخل کشور به حساب میآید.
با وجودی که بازار تهران، مهمترین و اصلیترین محل خریدوفروش کالا در ایران محسوب میشود، بناهای قدیمی و رستورانهای متعددی را در خود جای داده است که بازدید از آنها خالی از لطف نیست
بازار بزرگ تهران در منطقه ۱۲ پایتخت در استان تهران قرار دارد و از جنوب به خیابان مولوی، از شرق به خیابان مصطفی خمینی (سیروس)، از شمال به خیابان پانزده خرداد و از غرب به خیابان خیام منتهی میشود. چهارراه مولوی، میدان محمدیه و چهارراه سیروس در تقاطع این خیابانها قرار گرفتهاند.

This alley is located between the aromatic and Toserkani alleys.
