Technical Seminar on Fishery Equipment and Cold Chain in Somalia
Organized by UNIDO ITPO Italy and UNIDO Somalia in collaboration with the Government of Somalia, the “Technical Seminar on Fishery Equipment and Cold Chain in Somalia” took place on 22 July, in order to promote know-how exchange and technology transfer between Italian and Somali SMEs and increase investment opportunities within the Somali cold chain and fishery equipment sector.
The online event was held on a virtual platform so as to limit the spread of Covid-19, gathering more than 50 participants, speakers and representatives from prominent Italian and Somali institutions, associations, small-and-medium enterprises and other stakeholders in the field. Notably, the Somali Ministry of Commerce and Industry also attended the event.

How Do Polish Villagers React To a Black Foreigner? (Social Experiment)
There is a stigma around black people when it comes to traveling in certain countries, especially in Eastern Europe. Is it because some people of colour complain about their experiences in European countries as a minority and how they think they are not treated well? In my travel videos across Europe I have been documenting my own reality of life as a foreigner and my experiences on how I engage with the local people I come across on my journeys where ever it is on or off the camera all of my encounters are the same.. My travels are comfortable and enjoyable and definitely loads fun. I do not feel like a victim or threatened because my colour when I travel. I believe this channel can educate people from an aspect that not all people of colour are always discriminated or judged, this can be seen in all my films from me showing my encounters in some of the most remote places I have visited in Europe such as, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and England. Although I know some people are racist but for their own reasons.. What advice can I give to anyone that wants to travel no matter the country you travel to or what your colour is. Be fearless, friendly and open to learn a few phrases for interactions, because I know it takes a lot of effort for people and confidence to approach a random stranger and start a conversation and that’s what my spontaneous village travels are about - interacting with the locals and showing how life is on the outside of the big cities and towns. Watch me on this village tour which is far from a touristic location where foreigners usually don’t go. Let’s have look how the Polish people interact with a foreigner. AL HASA OASIS, SAUDI ARABIA - Welcome to Al Hasa Oasis, the world’s biggest oasis, and home to over 2 million palm trees, and endless amount of date palms! It also happens to be home to some very unique and rare Arabian food. Today we’re exploring some fo the local dishes, including Hassawi red rice - considered more precious than gold!

Breakfast - Before doing anything we started with a champions breakfast in Al Hasa - simmered lamb legs with special bread made with date syrup. Delicious and the perfect way to get started on this Saudi Arabian food tour.
Qaisariya Al-Ahsa Sou ( - Al Hasa is extremely well known for its market, where you’ll find everything you need from spices to herbs to clothes to coffee. It’s been a market that’s attracted people from all around the region and traders for centuries. It was fascinating to learn from Fahad about the unique and common ingredients used in Al Hasa cuisine.
Rice harvest - We took a quick trip to a farm to see some of the hassawi red rice harvest
This can be quite a quick edit to see the hassawi red rice harvest. It’s only grown in the Al Hasa oasis, and it’s one of the world’s most expensive rice grains, and extremely rare. Local consider it more precious than gold, and it has huge nutritional value.
Farm for cooking and eating - The highlight of this experience was going back to the date palm farm where Fahad and friends cooked a huge local meal including the most delicious and rare Al Hasa foods that really showcase the incredible local culture. The spread of food and the variety was astounding - it was one of the best meals I had in Saudi Arabia!

Keepers were delighted to welcome not just one, but three foals to the herd of critically endangered Somali Wild Ass. These are the first Somali Wild Ass ever born at Woburn Safari Park! This video shows the first arrival of three, a young male foal with his mother Ira.
