Street Food Singapore!! 5 Hawker FOODS INVENTED in Singapore - with KF Seetoh!

???? Ultimate Singapore Chilli Crab Tour:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!
???? KF Seetoh:

SINGAPORE - Today I’m hanging out with the one and only KF Seetoh, a legend of Singapore street food and hawker culture. We’re going to take you on a born and bred food tour of Singapore - dishes that were invented right here in Singapore.

Here are all the places we ate at in this Singapore food tour:

Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon ( - First we headed to Bukit Merah, also known as Red Hill. It’s a huge neighborhood complex, market and hawker center. There’s a massive selection of food to choose from, but KF Seetoh took me first to eat satay bee hoon, or thin angel hair vermicelli covered in seafood and pork, and a ladle of creamy peanut sauce.

Hong Seng Curry Rice ( - Within the same Red Hill hawker centre you’ll find Hong Seng Curry Rice, where you can enjoy another popular Singapore street food - Hainanese curry rice.

Geylang Lorong 29 Hokkien Mee ( - Continuing on this food tour we drove over to Geylang to eat one of the best versions of Hokkien fried prawn mee, a stir fried noodle dish that’s one of the most beloved in Singapore. They make it by the batch and we had the chance to see the entire process of how it’s made. Delicious!

The Original Vadai ( - Next up over to Joo Chiat to eat at the Original Vadai - a Sri Lankan origin - yet transformed in Singapore to be more light and fluffy, totally different texture and flavor. They are so addictive and one of the best things about them is that you bite a green chili and then follow it with bites of the prawn vadai.

Sha Zah Confectionery ( - Finally to complete this food tour with KF Seetoh we headed over to Sha Zah Confectionery for their giant curry puffs. A perfect way to end this delicious Singapore street food tour!

Thank you again to KF Seetoh for taking me around. Be sure to follow his food adventures: and if you’re in NYC, go eat at Urban Hawker center!

12 Hour Layover in Singapore!

Got a long layover in Singapore? Public transportation and the compact area of sights makes Singapore a great place to explore during a layover. In this video we explored the Gardens by the Bay, had a drink and took in the incredible skyline views of Ce La Vi, ate authentic food at Maxwell Road Hawker Centre, took in the sights on a river cruise and ate and shopped at Chinatown.

Check out our photos, how-to's and recommendations by clicking the link below:

Where is the airport located in regards to Singapore city center?
The airport is located about 20 km/12.45 mi from the city center.

What can you do in a 5.5 hour layover in Singapore?
If you have a layover of 5.5 hours or less, we recommend you do not leave the Changi Airport, however, this airport has TONS of things to do within the terminals including parks, gardens, shopping, swimming pools, movie theater, restaurants and shopping. You can find out more information about the attractions within the airport at the airport’s official website or check out The Points Guy website.

What can you do in a 5.5-7 hour layover in Singapore?
If you have a shorter layover (5.5-7 hours), we recommend the free Singapore City tours offered by the Changi Airport. They offer a Heritage Tour that runs 5 times daily and a City Sights Tour that runs 2 times daily. The Heritage Tour visits the Colonial District, the Central Business District, Merlion Park, Chinatown and Kampong Glam and Malay Heritage Centre. The City Sights tour visits The Singapore Flyer, the Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. Each tour takes about 2 hours. Click here to find out more about each of these tours.
*Please read all terms and conditions of these tours, such as not passing through immigration/security.

What can you do in a 7+ hour layover in Singapore?
There are so many places to see and things to do in Singapore. The subway system makes it very easy to create your own itinerary with your interests. In our 12 hour layover we we explored the Gardens by the Bay, had a drink and took in the incredible skyline views of Ce La Vi, ate authentic food at Maxwell Road Hawker Centre, took in the sights on a river cruise and ate and shopped at Chinatown.

How much time do you need to leave the airport for a layover in Singapore?
We always give ourselves a 4 hour cushion. Two hours to leave the airport (which shouldn’t take that long, but you never know!) and make sure to be back 2 hours before our departure. This means on our way back to the airport 2.5-3 hours before departure.

Do you need a visa to leave the airport for a layover in Singapore?
Most nationalities can enter Singapore without a visa, however, we recommend checking out the official Singapore Immigration website to confirm.

How do you leave the airport for a layover in Singapore?
If you have decided to explore the city on your own, you have 2 options for getting into the city centre. The MRT (Singapore’s Subway System) or taxi. A taxi will take 20-25 minutes. Depending on your specific destination, the subway will take closer to 60 minutes but is much cheaper than a taxi and you get to experience Singapore like a true Singaporean!

Is there a place at the airport to check your luggage?
If your checked bags aren’t going to your final destination, we recommend checking them at the airport so you don’t have to carry them around. Each terminal has an area where you can check your bags. Click here to find out more information including the current pricing.

What should you do before leaving the airport?
Note which terminal you need to return to.
Grab a tourist map.
Make sure you have your passport, wallet, money, camera.
Exchange some money or take out cash at an ATM.
Check your luggage, if needed.

2T2T Tips
Choose only one or two areas to explore and see the sites within those areas.
You can book the river cruise as roundtrip or one way. Book the one-way to get to the other side of the city. Two birds, one stone, boom!
Buy a drink at Ce La Vi and show your receipt to see the view from the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck instead of paying for the admission to the observation deck.
Eat as much as possible. The food is delicious!
