Travel during CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK 2024 | (Should you cancel your trip?)

Should you travel during the 2024 novel CoronaVirus outbreak? How will you keep yourself safe during COVID-19 ?

In today's video I'll be sharing how COVID-19 is impacting whether or not I will travel to Vietnam. I'll cover what concerns I have with travel to South East Asia and specific precautions I am taking to minimize risk. There is a lot of misinformation spreading with this novel coronavirus originating in Wuhan, China. The information shared in this video is my own opinion based on the most up to date public information from the CDC and WHO on Feb 10 2024.

Not everyone is ready to travel again, and not every country is welcoming travelers. But some destinations like Saint Lucia are open and are ready to welcome visitors. It is possible to travel safely if you take a few precautions at home before you fly, while on the plane and at the resort.
#travel #theplanetd

We took a COVID Test before flying and continued to social distance before our flight.
On the plane, we did not sit beside anyone, we wiped down our seats and sanitized our hands.
We never took our masks off except to eat and we social distanced.
Saint Lucia has very strict rules for travel, and we followed all protocols while on the island.

We also made sure to purchase COVID 19 Insurance before flying with Medipac travel insurance.

While we don’t recommend jumping on a plane and traveling the globe we do feel that if you are committed to traveling responsibly and are willing to take all the precautions to keep yourself and others safe, there is no reason you can’t get on a plane and have a vacation.

What it is like on the flight and at the Airport during COVID19.

Flying is a completely different experience right now. Only passengers with boarding passes are allowed in the terminal.

Temperatures are taken before boarding and since we were flying to Saint Lucia and a negative test is a requirement, we had to show our paperwork before check-in.

One the island we wore masks, had private tours, could only stay at government approved hotels, and could only take government approved transportation and tours. Everyone had training and safety protocols for Coronavirus.

When we returned home we had a mandatory 14 day quarantine and could not step foot off our property.
We checked in daily with the government and had food delivered.

Travel is possible during COVID 19 if you take all the necessary safety steps.

Safe Travel Tips During Coronavirus Season and Must-Bring Items and Medical Expense in Japan #231

In this video, I show how the Japan Osaka streets look like in February, 2020. Also giving advice what to bring for Japan SAFE travel during this season, plus sharing my experience of paying medical expense for Japanese hospital when I caught the Flu (Influenza in Japan), Hope this video can help your Osaka/ Japan Travel.

Why I made this video?
People get really nervous because of Coronavirus, and I have been receiving so many messages and questions about the situation in Osaka now, So I have decided to make this video.

Conclusion.
Yes, It is safe to travel to Japan since people are being really careful now. (As you can see, most of the people wear mask). If you will visit Japan, it's better to bring masks and hand sanitizer from your country. because recently it's hard to find them in Japan especially in Tokyo.
Still in some other prefecture, you can find masks in Japan, so if you need masks, try to find those in Countryside prefecture!

I know that many people are really looking forward to their Japan trip. Hopefully the situation gets better, and we can have peaceful fun time again soon. Praying from Japan.

The Video I introduced in the video.

I really hope this video can help your Japan travel.

Travel Changes (Post COVID Lockdown Updates)

Like it or not airline travel has changed post COVID lockdown. I will share travel updates in the airports, how the Transportation Security administration is adapting screening procedures, and how your airplane passenger experiences will continue to change post COVID. So let’s focus on travel changes, travel amid quarantine rules, and look at the future of air travel in general. We flew on 4 airlines in the summer of 2020 post COVID lockdown, and I can tell you the travel changes as of today. Airlines are updating their websites weekly. The TSA has made changes throughout this summer as well.
Know that when I say post COVID, I mean post the months of lockdown. #travelaftercoronavirus #travelupdates #travelnews #traveltips #travelchanges #travelcovid

CORONAVIRUS TRAVEL DECISIONS Cancelling a trip can be a tough decision to make. You put so much time and money into your plans for a dream trip. But if you ever feel like you will need to cancel, look into all of the cancelation policies for airfare and hotels. Having all of the facts may help you make your decision. You may also find that because of something like the Coronavirus, airlines and cruise companies may be more lenient with cancelation fees due to this issue. Make sure that you are checking cancellation policies when you are booking so that you have an idea what will happen in case you ever need to cancel a trip. Most standard travel insurance does not cover cancelling over fear of something (Coronavirus, terrorism, etc.) or pandemics. For that you would need to purchase Cancel for Any Reason insurance (CFAR). You need to purchase this insurance within a certain number of days of the first deposit for your trip, typically 7-21 days. Also note that CFAR does not reimburse 100 percent. If you are traveling with kids that go to school, make sure to contact someone to see if you will be required to self quarantine when you come back. Get yourself prepared if this will be the case. In case travel warnings change while you are away, make sure that you stock up on food and other necessities before you leave. It also makes sense to make sure you pet or house sitter is available for an extended period of time, should you be quarantined or delayed getting home. Whether you are traveling or not, make sure that you are washing your hands often and wash them for at least 20 seconds. Make sure you are not touching your face and use sanitizer in between or when you can wash your hands right away. Wearing a mask may stop you from touching your face but it will not protect you from germs that you are touching and transferring around. You need to make sure that you are washing your hands regularly. Wipe down your area on a plane, train, or bus with sanitizing wipes, including the armrests, window shades, tray table, seat belt buckles, etc. Now is a good time to walk as much as possible, to avoid being in taxis or Ubers where others may have left germs. If you do take transportation or ride the subway, you should be sure to sanitize your hands right away after leaving. If you are planning or thinking of planning a trip somewhere, look into the areas and what is happening there as well as what they are doing in regards of quarantine. This can help you decide on where you want to go or even just where you know you don’t want to go, at least while this virus is going around. One resource is the CDC's COVID-19 page and the CDC Travel Health Notices page. If traveling internationally, you should also register with the U.S. State Department (for U.S. citizens) and the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program. If you are wondering: is it safe to travel? can I travel right now? is traveling safe? How to travel during pandemic? Watch this video.

Hello all! Considering the dire situation in the world right now with the Coronavirus Outbreak, we wanted to discuss some important points that every person should consider before travelling during this pandemic. We want to share some tips on how to prevent getting sick while travelling, discuss the logistics of doing so (because every country has its own rules), and ultimately dissuade anyone of travel unless absolutely necessary.

You should avoid travelling at all costs. However if you do, please do disinfect plane seat, wash hands, and if you're wondering 'should I wear a mask?', you might want to.

FOMOthevlog is largely a travel vlog and we thought it would be extremely important to cover this information. Even if you've heard some of these tips already, there are things many of us fail to consider in a time when fear and panic overwhelm. We hope that this video provides useful information and some food for thought for every one of us right now. Don't forget that we are all in this together and our collective actions are what will make the ultimate difference in the progression of the coronavirus and how one day it will be remembered.

Once again, we are not medical professionals but we hope our personal experiences shed some light on how to handle travel during this hard time!

Coronavirus Travel Kit | Tips for Preventing The Spread of Coronavirus, Germs, Bacteria & Infections

Since the Corona Virus outbreak I had to take dozens of flights for my job. Right now I stay at home.

But since December, when people were still laughing at me, I was wearing face mask on every flight.

And since the outbreak started, on every flight I took, in every restaurant I visited, and every meeting I held, I brought my Corona Virus Kit with me and followed the steps in the video.

Important Notice: These methods will not protect you 100% from the Corona Virus, but it will decrease the probability of infection drastically. While the best method to protect yourself is just to isolate yourself from the world, it's not always possible. So make sure to behave responsibly not just to protect yourself but to protect others.
