Why I Don't Like This Country ????????

► SUBSCRIBE for daily travel videos:

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are few places that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of Brunei is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I was pushed to make this video.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

In this brief video you can find seven little known facts about Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

More information about the video content bellow:
1. The St Vincent and the Grenadines Botanic Gardens is located in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere (preceded by Kew Gardens in London and Bartram's Garden in Philadelphia) and perhaps the oldest in the tropical world. King’s Hill is the oldest Forest Reserve in St. Vincent and the second oldest in the Western Hemisphere. It was established in 1791 to ‘attract the clouds and rain’ and thus provide rain for surrounding areas that were otherwise dry and windswept.

2. St Vincent and the Grenadines is the only Caribbean country in which petroglyphs, recording our ancestors’ presence are found. These can be found in Yambou, Buccament, Layou and Barroullie.

3. The capital of St Vincent and the Grenadines is Kingstown. It boasts a large number of shops and souvenirs. There are more than 400 arches to be found in Kingstown – “The City of Arches”. Other sights can be the churches of St Mary and St George, built in a unique architectural style.

4. There is an active volcano on St Vincent (La Soufriere) that last erupted in 1979. At any moment it might wake up, so its being closely studied by volcanologists.

5. The islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines include the main island of Saint Vincent 344 km2 and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines 45 km2, which are a chain of smaller islands stretching south from Saint Vincent to Grenada. There are 32 islands and cays that make up St Vincent and the Grenadines. Nine are inhabited, including the mainland St Vincent and the Grenadines islands.

6. Wallilabou Anchorage was the principle Caribbean location for Disneys 2003 hit movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.

7. Fort Charlotte is an historic fort with spectacular views overlooking Kingstown. It is located just to the west of Kingstown and perched at 182 metres overlooking the bay - a short drive from Kingstown. Constructed in 1806, Fort Charlotte was a significant fortification that housed around 600 troops and a battery of over 30 canons. The canons were mostly pointed inland, to defend against Caribs.

Exploring St. Vincent during covid | Walking the Street of Kingstown

#StVincentandthegrenadines #travelingduringcoronavirus #StVincent #ExploringSt.Vincentduringcovid #WalkingtheStreetofKingstown

After spending three weeks in paradise, we headed to the mainland St. Vincent to explore. Bequia, we will see you soon! After arriving at St. Vincent and checking into our stay, we settled in and started exploring the very next day.

In this video, we will be exploring St. Vincent during covid and walking the Street of Kingstown.

We explored the streets of Kingstown, St Vincent. We had an enjoyable time visiting the vendors, the central market, and the churches. Oh, our lunch at the Stop Light restaurant and bar was delicious. When visiting you definitely should have lunch here.

Today was a special day because we were recognized by one of our YouTube subscribers for the very first time. She was adorable. I teased her for recognizing Kenny and not me. LOL

Don’t forget that you will need an international driver’s permit to drive in St. Vincent.

*Driving in St Vincent and Grenadines-
A local driver’s license is required to drive on St Vincent and is obtainable at Police Headquarters in Kingstown on the production of your own driving license and two passport photos. Your rental company should be able to arrange it for you too. The cost appears to be $100EC.

► WHO WE ARE?

We are Gladys & Kenny, from Long Island, NY. We've always had a passion for traveling. We finally made our dreams a reality. In January 2018 we downsized and take the necessary steps to pursue our dream, to travel full time for as long as we can. We rented our house, moved into our attached studio apartment, and continued to travel on a part-time basis until it prepared us for full-time travel. On June 30, 2019, we left to travel the world full-time. The first stop was Bali, Indonesia. It wasn't a simple decision to leave our friends and family. However, you only live once and we didn't want to live with any regrets. We want to document our journey, so we recently did so with vlogs on YouTube and Social Media.
Join us. It's been one crazy ride so far.

St Vincent and the Grenadines - Where is St Vincent and the Grenadines located - Our Vacation

Seven days on the beautiful island of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Exploring this enchanting island with my wife, after being gone for 31 years. There are so to do and so many places to visit in St Vincent and the Grenadines , a seven days vacation may not be enough time.

Here are some of the amazing places we visited during our stay on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Enjoy the falls at Dark View Falls, the Botanical Gardens in Kingstown, Port of Kingston, the beaches and restaurants on Indian Bay and Young Island, St. George’s Anglican Cathedral, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kingston Methodist Church, Kingston Fish Market, Kingstown, Fort Charlotte, Arnos Vale Sports Complex, Paradise Beach, La Soufriere,

Driving on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was relative easy and safe once we realized that they drive on the left side of the road. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a great place to visit. I recommend visiting the island once or twice because there are so much history, beauty, couture and great food to be had.

You will see all this and more in my video, from the air port to the hotel on Young Island and all the other adventures we enjoyed so much on St Vincent and the Grenadines during our vacation.
