We're sailing Greta Thunberg across the North Atlantic Ocean. There's a named tropical storm headed our way.. I've made the decision not to tell anyone other than Nikki who absolutely needed to know what situation we were in. We've also been experiencing surprise wind gusts of up to 50 knots. 17 Days at Sea Crossing The Atlantic (Sailing La Vagabonde) - Ep.8
A bit more about the sailing side of things - put the new assy up for the first time, (much needed investment after one HUNDRED too many times of being becalmed and going a little/lot crazy…) the halliard broke and fell down, broken winch with no spare parts onboard ... but luckily Jack who is a professional 'bicycle mechanic' back in Australia sorted it out for us (cheers Jack). But we made it across an ocean!! Bye bye Jack, thanks for keeping us laughing and taking the terrible hours on watch. We love ya and thank you a lot for your help (not for the screamo music), with your wise knowledge and years of sailing experience behind ya. All the best for your future sailing adventures!! Hello Caribbean :)

La Vagabonde made it across the Atlantic to the Caribbean! 2300 nm (17 days at sea for us) and we couldn't be happier with how it all went. A few squalls, flying fish, a lot of Dorados (luckily, or I never would have been forgiven for losing the first one..). Stay tuned for Part 2 - Apart from an awesome chocolate cake (if I don't say so myself) 'half way day' celebrations was followed by a few dramas for us ...

SAILING ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN / 2020 Short Documentary : We want to give you the opportunity to came onboard and experience an ATLANTIC CROSSING and follow us on our daily activities. The journey beggins in Europe sailing south on the coast of Africa towards the LA Gran Canaria. We set sail to cross the Atlantic in the beggining of December towards the US Virgin Island of St Thomas.
This Journey presented many challenges buy brought so many learning opportunities.
The crew was composed of 3 people and the boat was a 2017 LAGOON 42.

We Swim in the Middle of the Atlantic Ocean! Crazy?! (PART 2 of Atlantic Crossing) | Ep. 60
Welcome to Part 2 of our Atlantic Crossing. In this video, we try and avoid some bad weather in the middle of the Atlantic, we go for a dip in the ocean, and we manage to catch our first fish ever aboard Navika (fish tacos here we comeee). Anyway, life goes on at sea and morale is overall pretty good, except for a low point when we didn't have any wind. Hope you enjoy!

I say goodbye to our Patrons and I leave Riley. I'm off, to the land down under to prepare for the birth of our boy. It was such an emotional week leading up to my departure. I've usually been fine leaving Riley for longer periods of time, but this time it felt different.. Riley has to look after La Vagabonde for an extra month and then he's going to sail it north to South Carolina where he's leaving it. Then he'll finally be able to fly to Australia to meet me. I just hope our baby doesn't come early... Anyway. Everything's going to be okay yep yep yep ????

ONE WEEK to Prepare for 16 Days at Sea (Atlantic Crossing)
#291 Join us as we sail down from Madeira to Tenerife. Jack and Andre join us on board to prepare for the Atlantic crossing back to the warm weather, clear water and fish galore. We're excited but there's lots to do before the boys were ready to go. I (Elayna) was more than happy to sit this one out. Pregnant, seasickness, toddler, I'm sure you understand - haha!
