मंडला ,मध्यप्रदेश राज्य का एक अनोखा जिला है, मंडला जिला 3 नदियों नर्मदा नदी, बुढनेर और वंजर नदी से घिरा हुआ है। मंडला जिला सतपुड़ा के पठार से लेकर डिंडोरी जिले की मैकल पर्वत श्रेणियों तक फैला हुआ है। यह गोंड, बैगा और ओरांव जनजातियों सहित कई जनजातियों का घर है। यह क्षेत्र चावल, गेहूं, दालें और तिलहन जैसी फसलों की खेती के लिए जाना जाता है। हस्तशिल्प और आदिवासी कला भी जिले में महत्वपूर्ण आर्थिक गतिविधियाँ हैं। मंडला जिले में 6 तहसील , 9 विकासखंड एवं 1221 गांव है। मंडला में तीन उपज मंड़ी हैं, मण्डला, नैनपुर और बिछिया। मंडला जिले की सीमाएं बालाघाट, डिंडोरी सिवनी और छत्तीसगढ़ के कवर्धा जिले से लगती हैं। मंडला जिला सागोन और साल के जंगलों के लिए जाना जाता है। मंडला जिला देश पर प्राण न्योछावर करने वाली रानी दुर्गावती और रानी अवंतिबाई जैसी वीरांगनाओं की भूमि रहा है।

मंडला के इलाके में सहस्त्रधारा सबसे लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल है। इस जगह में प्रकृति की एक ख़ास सुंदरता है जहां मैग्नीशियम, चूना पत्थर और बेसाल्ट चट्टानों के माध्यम से हज़ार गहरी संकीर्ण चैनलों से पानी का प्रवाह होता जाता है, जिससे ग्रिड की तरह एक सुंदर पैटर्न बन जाता है। यहां तक पहुंचने का रास्ता भी काफी आसान है रपटा घाट से कुछ ही किलोमीटर की दूरी पर सहस्त्रधारा स्थित है हम लोग पिकनिक सेल्फी मेडिटेशन नौका विहार अन्य गतिविधियों के लिए आ सकते हैं।

Sahastradhara!
This beautiful ghat of Ma Narmada is situated on the outskirts of District Mandla, near the Gonjhi Village. It is said to have 'Sahastra' i.e a thousand streams flowing out of the rocks.
Locals believe that once the king Sahastrabahu tried to stop Ma Narmada with his one thousand hands but to his wonder she came out sparkling and green, kept on flowing with all her beauty!
According to a legend, Raavan and Sahastrabahu had a fight on this bank of river Narmada. Raavan lost the war and was prisoned by Sahastrabahu but later was released on Rishi Pulastya's request. This was the Cultural Background of the Sahastradhara!
The Ghat has now become a wonderful picnic spot & a well recognized tourist place. Also, it has got an attractive archeological background.
With the increasing urge to explore and travel, people find this place quite peaceful and calming. But, among all this, we are forgetting that the place has to be preserved. It has to be taken care of. Leaving wrappers and polluting the river is not just happening right!
So, just highlighted one of the heritage of my city Mandla, will keep showing you more!
