The biggest problem for our cape Fur seals is plastic in the ocean. we often see the seals with plastic around their necks, which eventually kills them, if nothing is done about it.
One this day we found young seal entangled in a fishing net.... this is the video of catching and releasing that seal.

SeaWorld San Diego Rescue Team Return
Our Rescue Team has been busy! Yesterday our Rescue Team returned five California sea lions, one northern elephant seal and three shorebirds after several weeks of rehabilitation at our Animal Health and Rescue Center. So far this year, we’ve rescued a total of 31 sea lions, six elephant seals, three turtles, two harbor seals, one Guadalupe fur seal and 111 birds!

PINNED DOWN by Hurricane Agatha ???? Now What? Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 384
What happens when you mix an incoming hurricane, some rowdy sailors, a tattoo gun, and lots and lots of beers???
After arriving to Mexico after our 5 day passage, we were super stoked to dive right into everything this coast has to offer...but mother nature had other plans for us. What we hoped to have been a little 3 day stop over turned into 3 weeks as the strongest hurricane to ever hit the pacific coast of Mexico in the month of may rolled in to the north of us, and then blasted headwinds in the exact direction we wanted to go for the foreseeable forecast. But in true Delos fashion, we decided to drink a few beers and roll with it, leading to an airbnb pool party, some tattoos, lots and lots of beer, a trip to Guatemala, and of course boat projects galore.

Seal release at Hunstanton
Four seals that where nursed back to health by Sealife at Hunstanton were released into the North Sea on March 17th. The event was witnessed by some of the people involved in the initial rescues of the sick seals.
