Featuring a complete journey undertaken in the First Class AC compartment of #12314 Sealdah Rajdhani Express from #NewDelhi, the capital of India, to Sealdah, Kolkata in West Bengal. The prime purpose behind this video was to enjoy the luxuries provided by Indian Railways in its highest and best class of travel. To be honest, I wasn't disappointed. It was nothing less than what I had expected.
This video features the on board catering services of the Rajdhani, with focus on the evening snacks, the appetizers, the gala dinner and of course the huge platter on offer at breakfast the next day. Also included are the beautiful interiors of the coach and my cabin along with all facilities available in it.
Special mention to the dedicated shower room where one can enjoy a full fledged hot shower; thanks to a geyser. This is something available only on First Class AC coaches in Indian Railways. Even the washrooms are fitted with all basic amenities.
What comes secondary is the Rajdhani's high speed run all the way to Kolkata. It covers a distance of more than 1450 kms in about 18 hours. That's quite a feat given the speed standards of Indian Railways. The plethora of overtakes of several trains along the way make the journey more satisfying. Special mention to the parallel departure with the Mumbai Rajdhani Express from New Delhi which takes no time to race ahead leaving us vanquished.
Courteous staff, clean and well maintained coaches, delicious food and of course the unerring run made my journey a perfect one. It's safe to say the Sealdah Rajdhani is easily one of the best Rajdhani-s plying in the Indian Railways circuit presently. That's even more staggering given it used to be quite ill -maintained as recently as 4 years ago.

This video is all about my journey from Mumbai central to Bharuch junction by 12953 August kranti Rajdhani Express in a.c. first class coach in hindi.
The Rajdhani Express is a series of express passenger train services in India operated by Indian Railways connecting the national capital New Delhi with the capital and/or largest cities of various states. Rajdhani means The Capital in many Indian languages. The Rajdhanis are among the fastest trains in India along with Tejas Express, Gatimaan Express, Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express and get the highest priority on the Indian railway network.
The first Rajdhani Express was introduced in 1969, for providing fast connections (up to 180 km/h or 110 mph, speed variation depending upon the particular track section) from New Delhi to the capital cities of various states in India. The first Rajdhani Express left New Delhi station for Howrah station to cover a distance of 1,445 km in 17 hours 20 mins.
The Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, one of the most important trains in India, was introduced on 17 May 1972.
Until 1988, with the introduction of the Bhopal Shatabdi Express at 140 km/hr, the Rajdhani was the fastest train in India reaching speeds of 115-120 km/hr.
Rajdhani express gets the highest priority on the Indian railway network. They are fully air-conditioned. Passengers are served meals (food price included in the train fare) during the journey. Depending on the duration and timings of the journey, these could include morning tea, breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. All Rajdhani Express trains offer three classes of accommodation: AC First Class with 2-berth and 4-berth lockable bedrooms, AC 2-tier with open berths (bays of 4 berths + 2 berths on the other side of the corridor) with curtains for privacy, and AC 3-tier (bays of 6 berths + 2 berths on the side) without curtains. Currently there are 24 pairs of trains, connecting New Delhi to important cities across the country. These trains have fewer stops than other express trains and halt only at prominent stations. Recently Dynamic pricing has been introduced on all Rajdhani express trains.

The Coupe of Indian Railways gives an out of the world experience for people, especially couples and those on a honeymoon. This video covers every aspect of the AC First Class Coupe Cabin of a train with German designed Linke Hoffmann Busch or LHB coaches.

The AC First Class is the most expensive ticket on any train in Indian Railways, and not all trains have this coach. Even in this train, there is only an HA1 which has half a coach of AC First Class while the other half has AC Two Tier.
The passengers are provided with exquisite bed rolls and pillows. The coach attendant can be called for any kind of assistance at all times.
This train is a superfast train run be Southern Railways connecting Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram on a daily basis. It has German designed LHB Coaches which are safer and faster than the regular screw coupled coaches.
The Coupe essentially provides the highest amount of privacy a person or a couple can expect in an Indian train.

The August Kranti Rajdhani Express is a train which connects #MumbaiCentral to #HazratNizamuddin in India. It is named after the August Kranti Maidan formerly known as the Gowalia Tank Maidan from where the Quit India Movement was launched in August 1942.
IT Was Introduced in 1992, the 12953/12954 August Kranti Rajdhani Express is a daily service. It operates as train number 12953 from Mumbai Central to Hazrat Nizamuddin and as train number 12954 in the reverse direction. It shares its rake with 12951/52 Mumbai Rajdhani Express. It covers a distance of 1,377 kilometres in each direction however it takes 17 hours 15 mins when operating as train number 12953 at an average speed of 79.83 km/h (including halts) while its return journey as train number 12954 takes 17 hours 05 mins at an average speed of 80.60 km/h (including halts). The other trains on the route, that run faster than 12953/12954 August Kranti Rajdhani Express is the 12951/12952 Mumbai Rajdhani Express.
It leaves Mumbai Central as train number 12953 from platform number 1 on a daily basis and at the end of 14 halts arrives at Hazrat Nizamuddin the next day. Train number 12954 leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin on a daily basis arriving at Mumbai Central the next day.
The August Kranti generally has 1 AC 1st Class, 5 AC 2 tier, 1 pantry car, 2 luggage cum generator coach and 11 AC 3 tier coaches taking the total up to 20 coaches. it is hauled by a Vadodara Electric Loco Shed based twin #WAP7.
