Guests visiting Disney California Adventure park in the near future may be able to catch a glimpse of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man himself swinging above the rooftops of Avengers Campus.

Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park – Opening Summer 2020
Team up with the Avengers at a campus they’ve created to recruit the next generation of heroes!
Avengers Campus is an upcoming Marvel Comics–themed area being developed at several Disney theme parks: Disney California Adventure in Summer 2020,Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in 2021, and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2023. The Marvel-themed areas or land will be developed simultaneously at the three parks and inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They will be developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, in collaboration with Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment.
These three parks all hosted a Marvel-themed seasonal event in the past, which confirmed the demand for the integration of the superheroes in the parks.
Based on three different continents, the Marvel-themed areas will be defined as the Super Hero campus of their specific region, that will form guests to become heroes. Each area will feature mostly different sets of attractions and entertainment, while being strongly interconnected with each other by sharing a common narrative.
Disney California Adventure
The version at Disney California Adventure will be taking up the space previously occupied by A Bug's Land and will be anchored by the nearby Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! attraction. The land closed on September 5, 2018 to make way for the new area. At the 2017 D23 Expo, Disney announced the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers as part of the new immersive Superhero area at the park. Disney has said phase one of this superhero themed area will open in 2020. Due to a 1994 contract with Universal Parks & Resorts, Disney cannot use the Marvel name in the area name or attractions. The new Spider-Man themed ride will use the former It's Tough to Be a Bug! attraction.

Avenger's Campus Opening Weekend! | Web-Slinger Ride POV, Pym Test Kitchen Food Reviews & More!
Today's adventure brings us to Disney's California Adventure to experience the brand new Avenger's Campus! We woke up early and got in line for DCA at 4:30 am, with the hopes of bypassing the long queue to just get into the campus itself, and it proved successful! We were able to get a boarding group for the Web Slinger ride when reservations went live at 7 am (I also give a couple of tips to better maximize your odds at getting one), which was a huge weight off the shoulders. Once in the land, we do some exploring to get an understanding of the layout and buy some merchandise... including the web slinger attachment that can be used to better your score on the Web Slinger ride. I had a team member better explain how the attachments work and what they can do besides when using on the ride. Then we eat breakfast at Pym Test Kitchen and give our thoughts on it. Afterwards, we enjoy the company of the Avengers all over the campus, including Spiderman, Dora Milaje Warriors of Wakanda, and Captain Marvel! It then became our time to ride Web Slingers, and we give our final thoughts on the ride and the campus! As always, thanks for watching...please consider subscribing for new videos every Tuesday!
