PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - I was excited to visit Prague, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for many years. In this video, we’re going on an ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, and doing a full walking tour of the attractions and center of the city along the way. #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood
Café Savoy - For one of the most historical and beautiful restaurants and cafes in all of Prague, head to Café Savoy. It’s one of those restaurants that’s as much a museum as it is a restaurant. It’s a good place to have breakfast, or to have coffee. I had the Czech style breakfast set. Total price - 685 CZK ($29.62)
Párek v rohlíku – Ladislav Červený - If there’s one Czech street food your don’t want to miss, it’s sausages and hotdogs. And after doing some research, I discovered that not too far from where I was staying, was a popular local hotdog stall just outside the metro station. What was amazing to me is that the bun was toasted on the inside, but the outside of the bun was so soft. Great hotdogs, well worth going out of your way to eat when you’re in Prague. Price - 25 CZK ($1.08) per hotdog
Restaurace U Bansethů - My favorite type of food to eat is classic, traditional food, anywhere I travel. Restaurace U Bansethů is a restaurant with over 100 years of history, and I was very excited to go there. Menu was all in Czech, but our waiter was friendly and helpful. Something you have to note about Czech food restaurants (at least in my experience so far) is that they often have dishes of the day, and don’t have the full menu. So it’s best to choose the dishes of the day. I ordered their signature stuffed duck, a plate of tongue and dumplings, and we also tried a beef stew, which was similar to goulash, but had a different name. Food was delicious, and especially paired with Czech beer. 477 CZK ($20.62) - Total price for everything
Lahůdky Zlatý kříž - Next up on this ultimate Prague food tour, we headed back to the center of Prague and I ordered a few Czech open faced sandwiches from Lahůdky Zlatý kříž. Great local place to get food on the go. 77 CZK ($3.33)
Zahradní restaurace Letenský zámeček - Next, we headed on a little walk across the river and up the hill to a beer garden and terrance overlooking old town of Prague. I would highly recommend visiting, the ambiance was fantastic, and the views were spectacular.
Lokál - Beer Restaurant - Finally, when I reached out to you on social media about where to eat in Prague, one of the top suggestions was Lokál, a place loved by all for their great Czech beer, and for their food. We had a great experience, and it’s the type of place that would be fun to go with many friends. 726 CZK ($31.39)

Naše Maso - When I asked you all on social media where to eat in Prague, one of the top recommendations was Naše Maso, a butcher shop, with a restaurant. From what I read, the owner was tired of the lack of quality meat products in Czech Republic, and decided to do something about it - by sourcing good quality fresh meats, and preparing the best quality meat products. So while many people buy their meat directly from the butcher - everything from steaks to hotdogs - there is a small restaurant within the butchery. We ordered the steak tartare (some of the best I’ve ever had), Czech meatloaf, and there’s no way you want to leave without trying their hotdogs.
VNITROBLOCK - On our way to the next restaurant, we stopped for some coffee at a very artistic industrial style coffee shop called VNITROBLOCK.
Na Pekárně - And finally to end the day for our final meal, we drove about 30 minutes outside of the city to a Czech food restaurant that has as much character as it is delicious. Chef specializes in game meats, and he enjoys serving customers shot and beers, as you’ll find out. Along with all the other dishes, the one Czech food you don’t want to miss is Svíčková - Must-eat in Czech Republic! Thanks to Taste of Prague ( for this recommendation! Total price - 955 CZK ($41.09)

This video will show you our top picks of food we ate in the beautiful city of Prague. We particularly ate Traditional Authentic Czech cuisine when we eat at the restaurants. Also, we tried a couple of the street food along the way. Our favourite restaurant to eat traditional Czech food is the U Glaubiců. It is so near our apartment and we are always lucky to find a table, exactly on the same spot everytime we decide to eat there, without any reservations. Just a heads up... This restaurant is so famous that its always full!!!

There is so much this city has to offer and if you're looking for an authentic eating experience let me show you a preview of some of the best places to eat. Get an insider's perspective into the following places to eat and some of their signature dishes:
- TRDELNIK at the Old Town Square
Enjoy these tasty spit cakes filled with nutella or ice cream that are covered in nuts and spices. The perfect treat when you're on the go.
- PORK KNUCKLE aka Vepřove Koleno
U Magistra Kelly:
This juicy and tender pork knuckle is one of the most delicious traditional Czech dishes and was accompanied by potatoes and a salad. One of the hearthier meals, this is the one to get when you are really hungry.
- BRAISED BEEF WITH DUMPLINGS aka Svíčková na Smetaně
U Kroka:
Tender beef slices covered in a scrumptious gravy type sauce accompanied by dumplings. This dish is particularly known for coming with a slice of lemon topped off with cranberry sauce and whipped cream, adding a hint of sweetness to an otherwise savory dish. If you are looking for something unique and out of the ordinary this is the one to try. Perfectly followed with some Misa Cake!
- ROASTED DUCK aka Pečená Kachna
U Glaubicu:
Slightly crispy skin and tender duck meat is what makes this stand out from your typical roasted duck. Add to that bread and potato dumplings with some red cabbage and you've got a winning combination of Czech tradition. Get a 1/4 or 1/2 duck, depending on how hungry you are... just know this a great spin on one of the more basic meals.

Start your morning on the right foot as you get one of the fanciest breakfasts in all of Prague. Enter the century old Cafe Louvre to enjoy their typical Czech breakfast which includes ham, a variety of cheeses, and delicious breads. CZECH FOOD YOU MUST EAT! (FOOD TOUR PRAGUE)
Czech food you must eat in Prague includes chlebíčky (open faced sandwiches, Czech beer, perníčky (gingerbread), Nakládaný Hermelín (pickled cheese), and Svíčková (beef dish) with knedlíky (Czech dumplings). In our food tour of Prague, we show you where to go in Prague to try this amazing Czech food.
We started off our food tour of Prague with coffee at EMA espresso bar. After coffee we were ready to explore the city and try as many different Czech dishes as possible.
Our first food stop was at Sisters Bistro. This place is known for its open faced sandwiches (chlebíčky). We tried the roast beef and egg sandwiches and both we excellent. Then right across from Sisters we visited Naše maso.
Naše maso is a butcher shop that offers a daily menu of prepared food. We heard that the burgers here were not to miss, so we tried the medium rare cheeseburger. The reviews were right because this was one tasty burger. Next we needed something sweet, so we went to Perníčkův sen.
Perníčkův sen translates to Gingerbread Man’s Dream. Here they bake traditional Czech gingerbread. We got a regular gingerbread cookie as an after lunch snack. Next we wanted to try some more traditional Czech cuisine, so we went to Lokál.
Lokál is a great place to try Czech beer and Czech pub food. We tried the local Czech beer, Pilsner Urquell, and Nakládaný Hermelín (pickled cheese). The cheese paired nicely with the beer.
Our next stop was at Restaurace U Pinkasů. This is the first place to pour the Pilsner Urquell. Here we tried a popular Czech dish called Svíčková. This dish is slices of beef in a cream sauce served with Czech dumplings (knedlíky) and cranberry sauce.
We had a fantastic day exploring Prague and trying new Czech cuisine!

Camera Sony Alpha Series: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
Western Dynamics 4 TB external hard drive. This let's you save your pictures and videos from your SD cards while you travel without having to use a computer.
Manfrotto Tripods: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.
Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

The BEST CZECH FOOD in PRAGUE... is like THIS? ????????????
PRAGUE, CZECHIA is known for a lot of things. FOOD isn't really one of them. Prague has an incredible castle complex, beautiful streets, gorgeous and iconic architecture... and maybe some of the ugliest looking Food you'll see in Europe (or the World).
Now, just because Prague has *ugly* food, doesn't mean it has *bad* food. In the end, it's all about taste, and regardless of how ugly the food might be, in the right hands it can still taste really delicious... At least that's what I was hoping to find out.
I tried many of the most iconic food options in Prague and in Czechia/The Czech Republic on the whole. I had Svíčková, Hovezi Gulas, Smažený Sýr, and More. I also was pleasantly surprised by some of the incredible adaptations that Prague has made to some American dishes... and they do it really (really) well!

Prague Food Tour: Czech dishes you should eat in Prague
During our latest trip to Prague, we decided to try to eat like locals, with Eating Prague Tours. The experience was a real wake up call: most of the things that tourists believe to be traditional are... a scam!
Food for tourists, in the most touristy areas of Prague, is more expensive than ever. While the eateries for the locals are cheap (someone said Prague beer at 2€? We're in!) and absolutely affordable, whatever your budget is.
On the blog we've talked of the best restaurants in Prague Old Town and New Town, as well as the cheap places. We included a slightly more expensive Czech restaurant in a bell tower, just because it's the most romantic in Prague!
