This is day 4 of our 7 Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise. Today we spent the day taking a very informative and scenic view of the island learning about the Dutch and French heritage that makes this island as unique as it is. Unfortunately, hurricane Irma 's effect still shows today. May God and all our prayers help them to a speedy recovery. After the tour we relaxed and enjoyed a few activities around the boat and ate all the food we could handle and played our new game we love to call most expensive things on the Oasis. In today's video, I am going to give you a tour of Philipsburg St. Maarten cruise port and city. This Philpsburg cruise port and city tour can be used as a guide for what to do at the cruise port and things to do in walking distance of the cruise port in St. Maarten.
I haven't done to many port tours because usually it's my first time there and it's hard to make a cruise port video and city tour while I'm still discovering the place myself. However, I think I came up with a cruise port tour format that not only gives you useful information but allows me to explore and learn more about the area without having to worry about shooting a video explaining where I am in the moment.

???????? What to do in St. Maarten! - Philipsburg Cruise Port Tour
St. Maarten is known as the friendly island. Today we are at the Philipsburg St. Maarten cruise port and will tell you everything you need to know about the port. We are going to review the port atmosphere, what is near by and how you can prepare for your day in St. Maarten.
Philipsburg St. Maarten has two docks. They are able to accommodate the largest ships at sea, like Royal Caribbean's Oasis class. If both piers are full it would get pretty busy at the cruise port. When stopped at St. Maarten we were the only cruise ship there and we were not at full capacity so it was not pretty quiet.
The name of the St. Maarten Philipsburg cruise port is Harbour Point Village. The atmosphere is really about shopping. There are lots of shops and a little market area. You have all your typical cruise port shops like Diamonds international. There were lots of souvenir shops that were locally owned and had a good variety of gifts. St. Maarten what to do is a question we got asked a lot. As the port area is mainly shopping we recommend heading into town if you are looking for a restaurant or beaches. The water taxi is only $7 which will get you into town and back.

Celebrity Beyond - Our AMAZING day in Saint Maarten - Episode 4
Welcome to our fourth Celebrity Beyond cruise ship vlog. Today Celebrity Beyond is in Saint Maarten.
Today we have a full day excursion, an Adventure Island Tour booked via Caribbean Island Tours Facebook group:
Starting from Phillipsburg (the Capital of the Dutch side) where Celebrity Beyond docks, we stop at the border between the Netherlands Antilles and France. Our next stop is a short visit to see the iguanas in their natural habitat. We then make a short stop at Oyster Bay for a beautiful view from the mountain with the island of St Barts in the distance. Our next stop is then Orient Bay where we grab a cheeky cocktail.
We then visit Marigot, the capital on the French side, before we make our way to Maho Beach for Plane Spotting. Have you ever stood beneath the engines of a plane while it is landing?
Flying so low that you can almost touch them, this is what St. Maarten is known for - an experience of a lifetime.
After the beach, we start making our way back to Celebrity Beyond, but first, a stop to make some new friends, the pigs!
Back onboard Celebrity Beyond, we head to the Mast Grill for lunch and after watch the sail away from the Magic Carped, where the yellow hand makes an appearance as we wave over to P&O Britannia.
Celebrity Beyond has a number of shows, tonight's was Elements. As our dinner clashed with the show, we just watched from the back on the theatre, before then making our way to dinner at the Tuscan restraint.

The tour stopped at multiple places around St. Maarten, including Philipsburg, Oyster Bay, Orient Beach, Grand Case, Marigot, and the world-famous Maho Beach. Maho Beach is known for its location at the end of an airport runway, with the airplanes coming in just overhead. St. Maarten is the smallest landmass shared by two different countries, with one-half of the country (St. Maarten) being Dutch and the other half (St. Martin) being French.

Harmony of the Seas - Day 4 - St. Martin / St. Maarten - Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
Join Zach & Collin in St. Martin / St. Maarten for Day 4 of their Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas 7-Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day cruise from Port Canaveral! Zach & Collin toured the entire island of St. Martin beginning in Philpsburg. They then took a taxi over to Maho Beach to watch the airplanes take off and land. They also ate lunch at Sunset Beach. They then traveled to the French portion of St. Martin to explore Orient Beach and made their way back to the port. Back on Harmony of the Seas was meant for some pool time and relaxing before getting ready for evening activities. They saw a show at the Aquatheater and then went to the Royal Theater to see juggler and comedian Billy Prudhomme. Zach & Collin had dinner at Chops Grille before turning in for the evening.

Tour Of St. Martin (St. Maarten) / Exploring The Island On Your Own
We recently took a trip to St. Martin it was one of the stops on our Princess Cruise. This country is known for its beautiful unique beaches and has some great shopping areas. St. Martin or St. Maarten, is divided in half with one side being the Dutch side and the other side being the French side. If your cruise port is in Philipsburg, it is located on the Dutch side. We rented a Jeep for the day and toured both sides of the island. We want to give you a look at both St. Martin and St. Maarten to show you what there is to do here, some of our recommendations, and the overall vibe of the island and residents. If you are planning a trip to Saint Martin, or Sint Maarten, then you need to watch this video. There are things you definitely don't want to miss out on and we have a few to show you.

Philipsburg is the capital of Sint Maarten, the Dutch side of the Caribbean island Saint Martin. Beachfront bars line the boardwalk along Great Bay.

This is the 4th episode of theCruiseView's sailing onboard the Symphony of the Seas. After crossing the Atlantic for 13 nights on the Harmony of the Seas we join her younger and slightly larger sister just after she completed her own journey home to the USA. Unlike my other videos that feature the ship and let you enjoy the experience of being at sea without interruption, theCruiseView is a guided tour of the daily happenings during the cruise. This sailing features the Symphony of the Seas as she sets out on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing. Over the course of these 7 episodes you will get to see in detail every Cruise Compass, every main dining room menu, and all the happenings onboard during this special sailing. This series will take you into the day to day experience of being onboard the Symphony of the Seas with over 6,000 guests to experience every moment of life at sea and every festivity along the way.
On today's episode we visit our first port of call with an empty day in St. Maarten. We have a full night of entertainment with the premiere of iSkate 2.0 and a few showings of Hiro. Plus the Symphony goes all the way back to the 80's again with The Greatest 80's Party Ever in the Royal Promenade. I also got to sit down with Captain Rob Hempstead on the bridge to discuss his duties onboard and the various protocols that are followed when operating a ship both at sea and in port.

Join me in the port of St Maarten. I am terrified of heights but enjoyed a zip line from 1500 feet.

Spring 2023 Wonder of the Seas Eastern Caribbean
Day 4 of the cruise has us stopping in the Port of St. Maarten. Only 2 ships in port today so it wasn't overly busy. We booked a catamaran beach excursion for the day. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a very relaxing trip over to Mullett Bay where we anchored off shore. We were free to stay on board or you could swim in to the beach. Rum punch and beer was provided.
Once back on board the ship we had a a delicious dinner at Giovani's Italian before heading to the show for the evening, Tap Factory. The show is a blend of music and tap with some other interesting performances mixed in.
