The Best Social Distancing Tips for Your Event

As the world begins to re-open post COVID-19, it is essential that both guests and hosts take the nececary precautions to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are five ways to implement social distancing strategies without compromising the experience:

Keep the Guest Count to a Minimum

Each State has their own set of guidelines for gatherings for the four stages of reopening. Whether you are thinking about planning your Summer 2020 Wedding or postponing to 2021, there are plenty of benefits to having a smaller wedding, such as saving some money and a more simplified planning approach.

Host your Event at an Exclusive Venue

An exclusive venue is a venue that is limited to one wedding per day, such as your home, a n Airbnb, villa, art gallery, or even a museum during after hours. In addition to not having to share your venue, event resources, and time with outside guests, an exclusive venue ads to the elegance of your affair. By limiting the amount of outside contact your guests experience, you are reducing the risk of viruses spreading.

Considering Hosting Your Event Outdoors

There is something magical about having your reception under the stars with “al fresca” dining that creates a remarkable experience. If you are considering hosting an event outdoors, be sure to ask your wedding planner about a rain plan, permit requirements, and any challenges that may arise for unforeseen circumstances.

Explore Smaller Seating Arrangements

While a typical table arrangement may seat up to 12 guests depending upon the size of the table, I would suggest using smaller tables and limiting your guest per table to no more than 6 guests per table. A cocktail-style arrangement could also be ideal. When drawing your floorplan, make sure that the tables are spaced at least six feet apart.

Opt for a Plated Meal in Lieu of a Buffet Dinner

A plated meal adds an elevated feel in service, and can also help to slow the spread of germs. An experienced caterer can offer suggestions that your guests will enjoy, in addition to making sure that you remain in compliance with your local social gathering laws.

Master Advisor 39: Romance Travel and Destination Weddings

COVID-19 put so many weddings, honeymoons, and anniversary trips on hold and, after 18-months plus, couples and families are readying themselves for some revenge romance travel. But how has the industry shifted over the past year-and-a-half? What new properties are now driving demand and interest in consumers? And how is COVID still impacting those experiences?

In this session, TMR is joined by Jamie Mussolini, the founder and president of Beachfronts Travel, to talk about romance and destination travel in the new post-COVID era.

HOW TO PLAN AN ELOPEMENT WEDDING

HOW TO PLAN AN ELOPEMENT WEDDING // In this video, which is my first Youtube video of 2021, I’d like to share with you some ideas on planning an elopement this year.

Times have changed and with the still ongoing health crises of Covid-19, there will be long-lasting effects on the wedding industry, in more ways than one.

According to an article on WedElf, the most significant effect is the shift to intimate weddings or elopements.

In the next few years, more and more weddings will accommodate smaller guest count and will therefore become more intimate and decide on an elopement. Although much of the world is already trying to adjust to the new normal, it will become imperative for all of us to go on with our daily lives with as much caution as possible.

And of course, this should apply to weddings as well.

Another viable reason why more and more couples would opt for an elopement would be because it is a no-brainer way to cut costs.

As Boston Magazine emphasized, each additional guest on the list would mean more money to spend, and truth be told, as of the moment, that’s just not ideal for many brides and grooms out there.

3 SECRETS for an EPIC ELOPEMENT

3 SECRETS for an EPIC ELOPEMENT. If you’re just beginning to plan your own elopement wedding, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed. That’s with this masterclass is all about.

Eloping has become extremely popular, especially this year, when Covid has made big weddings nearly impossible.

Although the word elopement once brought up images of a fly-by-night Las Vegas wedding,
today, it’s a romantic alternative that gives you total control of the ceremony you want for yourselves without having to please anybody’s in-laws.

I like to think of it as a chic way for couples to truly express themselves and their love for each other.

It’s more romantic and less stressful than a big wedding, and allows you to spend on the things that matter most to you, like a flight to an exotic location, a five-star hotel room, or a designer gown.

Right now, I’m going to give you my top three secrets for an epic elopement.

Living room virtual wedding that truly WOWed their virtual guests

John and Beth had known each other since 7th grade. After decades of separate lives, the two found their way back to each other after their divorces. 8 years later, John proposed to Beth on a mountain top with their joint families there to celebrate!

Two rounds of canceled wedding plans later, Beth found Wedfuly and was over the moon knowing her 91-year-old mother would be able to join in on the fun. And that fun was above and beyond what they could have imagined. They hired a professional AV crew to handle the onsite cameras to keep the day stress-free and kept the virtual guests entertained with videos and trivia. The couple themselves had an amazing time, but their virtual guests claim to have had an even better time!

“We are so blessed to have been able to have created with Wedfuly such an amazing wedding we will never forget. And isn’t that what that day should be about!”

Wedding Venue: Their living room!
In-Person Guests: 5
Virtual Guests: 200+
Budget: Budgeted $35K, spent less than $8,000

The Wedfuly team has planned and produced hundreds of virtual weddings, and we’ll be here every step of the way: from making sure your niece gets her flower girl glory, to capturing your tear-jerker vows and first kiss, to spotlighting toasts from your nearest and dearest from around the world. Before, during, and after the wedding day—we’re here to help!

It's a match made in heaven, Fox 8 and Wedfuly to broadcast 1st ever 'live' Zoom wedding on TV!

A frontline worker and his bride-to-be will be wed using Wedfuly to plan their virtual wedding in a virtual ceremony on FOX 8 News in the Morning. Adam Haas and Amy Fixel met around Valentine’s Day three years ago in Crocker Park after meeting on an online dating app. Fox 8’s Wayne Dawson will officiate the wedding for the couple and their guests from all over the world.

We'd love to thank both Adam, Amy and Fox 8 for working together to pull off this amazing display of love on live TV!! Anyone who has planned a big, traditional, IRL wedding can tell you—the process is daunting and the conventional industry lacks innovation. While virtual weddings were born of necessity during the COVID pandemic, couples have quickly realized that this new take on the wedding experience has so many other perks. Going virtual helps ensure loved ones can safely witness your wedding, but also saves a TON of money and reduces the carbon footprint of your wedding—that’s a win-win. Plans come together quicker compared to a traditional wedding, and the whole planning process is simply more enjoyable.

2. All 2020 couples: What you need to do RIGHT NOW to prepare for your wedding
3. 2021 couples: the residual impact of what this means for your wedding
4. Postponement protocol and procedures
5. Alternate avenues if your wallet is being hit hard from the harsh reality of layoffs (Mico weddings and virtual weddings).
5. Looking at the positives in this situation.

I also want you to remember, you are not in this alone. If you (or your couples ) require additional assistance to navigate this uncertain time, I'd like to offer a $500 gift of support towards your (or their) wedding day.
