Saluttttt everyone :) Voilà today I am sharing with you one of my favorite places in Paris .... *drumroll* my apartment! I am so happy to share with you my first Paris apartment (and hopefully not the last).
About me:
My name is Kristin and I have been living in France on and off for about 5 years. Between studying abroad, teaching english in France and now an internship, I have fallen in love with so many parts of this culture. I enjoy reading, journaling and self-discovery and connecting with others. This channel is still in its baby moments but I hope to share my thoughts, feelings and experiences living and working in France as well as some of what life is like s a 20 something who is trying to figure out life.

This what €900 a month gets you in Paris for an apartment! Living in Paris means living in a small apartment. My apartment is 172 square feet or 16m2 which is a pretty average to small size for an apartment in Paris. My apartment is also near the eiffel tower :)

MY TINY 600€ STUDIO APARTMENT IN NICE, FRANCE | Studio apartment tour + Tips for renting in France ????
In this video, I will be giving you some tips on how to rent an apartment in France, tips for renting as a foreigner, documents you will need, websites you can use to find apartments, and common scams to watch out for!
I've also included a mini tour of my tiny (16m2) 600€ /month apartment in Nice, France in the French Riviera! The apartment came fully furnished and includes water, cable, internet, and electricity ⚡️
Apartment hunting can be stressful (especially in France!) so I put together this video with some helpful information to know if you are planning on renting here.
* D I S C L A I M E R *
It is very important to always be vigilant and be on the look out for scams, as there are A LOT OF SCAMMERS when it comes to renting in France, more specifically in Paris. DO NOT send any potential landlord any money, personal information (ID/passport/visa) etc before meeting them in person and physically seeing the property. If a potential landlord tells you that they are out of town on vacation and that they have already returned to the city many times to show the property, and due to this you have to give them your name, passport/visa info, and personal information to make an appointment - don't send them any information. This is a common rental scam here in France.
If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. When in doubt, send me a picture/description of the listing and I'd be happy to look at it and tell you my opinion on if it's safe or not.

This is my room tour for the perfect apartment I lived in up to August 2020. Studio apartment in the 9th arrondissement, 5th floor with elevator.
I spent my first lockdown there and filmed many youtube videos. I found it on the website seloger.com, it was an agency offer. 1200 € all included. Near rue de Martyrs, Notre-Dame de Lorette and St. Georges.

Finding apartments in Paris can be a PAINFUL process! Today, I take you around my furnished studio apartment that only costs 890€ a month (utilities, high-speed wifi, and all extra charges included). This type of place is more for short-term traveling, or a few months of living. If you plan to stay longterm in Paris and sign a lease, then the cost and options may be very different. I stayed in Paris for 3 months during the spring (April to June) and this place was perfect for me.
