Exuma Bahamas Boat Trip 2023
1000 miles round trip from Cape Coral FL to the Exuma Bahamas island chain. What a trip we had! Made our crossing out of Key largo FL.
Florida to the Bahamas by Boat- The Exumas
One dream adventure on two 25 ft Yamaha jetboats we made a reality on July5th-15th 2023… trailered our boats 1800 miles round trip from Alabama to Ft. Lauderdale to cross from Port Everglades to Staniel Cay where had a house rented, our route included stops in Bimini, Chub Cay and Nassau en route to and from Staniel Cay and spending 5 days exploring as much of the Exumas as we could. We traveled a total of 871 NM by boat on return to Port Everglades and explored from the top of the chain south down to Rudder Cay. The Exumas are absolute perfection, Heaven on Earth, all the shades of beautiful translucent blue waters are indescribable, you get there and never want to leave again ????????????????

This is a glance of our Adventure from Miami Florida to Staniel Cay Bahamas for a total of 9 days. We had the opportunity of doing this trip with great friends and family. We were island hopping thru Bimini Bahamas, Compass Cay, Chub Cay, Norman Cay, Compass Cay , Staniel Cay, Thunderball Grotto, Pig Island, Farmers cay, etc. We had a run of 900 miles total. We had an amazing time.

Power Boats in Paradise Exuma Bahamas trip from Ft Lauderdale
We arrive in Exuma at the 4:23 mark of the video. We finally had our annual Bahamas trip and we returned to Exuma this year. We had 6 boats join us and the owner of Renegade Power Boats also joined us on the trip since we had 4 of them on the trip as well. We had an awesome time as usual and we departed from Ft Lauderdale to head across. Escaping from Covid Lockdown in the Bahamas - Sailing the Exumas - Episode 8
In this episode, we celebrate St. Patrick's day at a local pub in Black Point with our boat guest, Spence. As we learn more about the coronavirus, we sail south to get our friend back to the airport in Georgetown and we decide after a bit of preparation, to escape the Exuma's and head toward self isolation in the Jumento's and Ragged Islands.

Weekend in the Exumas Bahamas | Boating Journey
In episode 206, we head off to the Exumas in the Bahamas for Ally's birthday. It was a quick trip from Miami and we stayed at Sandals Emerald Bay for four nights. During our stay, we visited a number of small islands including small pig beach and iguana island. It been exactly a year since Ally had been in the Exumas - see that video below. The turquoise water of the Exumas is stunning and we'll definitely be back!

Birthday Party on an Uninhabited Island in the Exumas - Episode 7
We celebrate Brooke's birthday at an uninhabited island in the Exumas. We head south to dodge a windy front and experience our scariest moment yet. After the front passes we explore Norman's Cay before heading to Georgetown to pick up our first guest. From Georgetown we head back north to Staniel Cay to check out the famous swimming pigs and Thunderball Grotto.

Miami To Exuma Bahamas on Sea-Doos Part III
This will definitely be the most boring of all the videos, but the story would've been incomplete without making it. Begins with our arrival at Nassau after crossing the Tongue of the Ocean again from Chub Cay. The sky was very overcast and cloudy and our moral was still pretty low. Upon arrival I was immediately stopped by Bahamian boat police who wanted to know where in the hell I just came from. They were pretty cool, just curious about our adventure. We then rode past all the cruise ships and the house where they filmed parts of Into The Blue. I saw the ferry ship that that Grocholskis rode through 4 years earlier, so I just had to check it out. Unfortunately the ship was backed up too close to land and was being loaded at the time so I couldn't pass all the way under it. From there we found and explored through Atlantis Resort and finally started to feel better about things. There were a lot of tourists with shocked looks on their faces when we pulled under the Atlantis catwalks. We then fueled up at Hurricane Hole Marina, ate lunch, and set out for our final 40-45 mile voyage to the Exumas. There is no way to describe the feeling when we finally made landfall on Allen Cay. Absolutely incredible. From here on in the videos get interesting and the scenery looks amazing....

Miami to Exumas Bahamas - Next Gen Preview
During the summer of 2022 my 8 year-old son Maximus and I made 3 crossings to the Bahamas in our Cessna 162 Skycatcher. Island stops included Andros, New Providence (Nassau), Norman's Cay, Staniel Cay, and Little Farmer's Cay. I've been looking forward to showing my kids the Exumas since they were first born. Max took to the island life immediately. For a kid who's often somewhat timid back home, he followed me into every cave, shark encounter, and reef without any hesitation.
Years ago, someone commented on one of my original Exuma trip videos, praising the video, but stating this type of stuff just doesn't happen once you have kids. My wife was already pregnant with Max at that point, and the comment struck a nerve with me. I made up my mind that I was going to raise my kids differently from the traditional U.S. suburban approach. So both Max and his brother Maverick have been boating, jet skiing, and now even flying since they were just a few months old. I won't ever discourage them from any youth sports or other activities, but I've made it my goal to show them there are still adventures to be had and remote places to explore if you're willing to do the work.
