I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towsn of Seaside, Oregon, and its easily one of my favorite places in the whole world and is home to some of the most dramatic and beautiful coasts on earth from the giant sand dunes to the offshore rock stacks - it has it all. Since I grew up in Seaside and Cannon Beach (northern), I figured I would make this travel guide for exploring the Oregon Coast is very special to me. The Oregon Coast is part of the 7 wonders of Oregon, and even though I am biased, I think it's the best one ;) I've driven every mile of HWY 101 from California to Washington and I wish that I had explored more of every beach, rock stack hike along the Whole coastline, but I will travel Oregon for the rest of my life. Oregon Coast Road Trip! | First Timers Guide to the Oregon Coast
Years in the making, we finally made our way to the Oregon Coast for an adventure of a lifetime! Something i've wanted to do for years all packed into this one video!
We begin our trip starting at the most northwestern city in Oregon, Astoria. Astoria is a quant and beautiful town that has a lot to offer. We stayed here for 2 nights camping at Fort Stevens State Park but we could have easily spent a week here with how much the area has to offer. We were able to explore the historic downtown area of Astoria, ride the orginal Astoria Riverfront Trolly, Visit the Shipwreck Beach and the Astoria Column. There was more but i'll save that for the video. I really wish we could have stayed another couple of nights because we did miss a few things that I would have like to do.
From there we spent 2 nights at Wright's For Camping in Cannon Beach. We mostly picked it because it was within walking distence to the famous Haystack Rock but we never realize how close the town of Seaside, Oregon or even Astoria was to Cannon Beach. Either way Haystack Rock is iconic for representing the Oregon Coast and it den't disappoint. It's larger then pictures do it judicious and we spent a while here admire the beach.
From there we explore more of the area stumbling across Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site. This was definitely a hidden gem of the Oregon Coast. Miles of picturesque sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and all inspiring rocks that make for wonderful photos.
Oswald West State Park was nice, i'm sure there's some great hiking trails in and around here but we found it to be mostly a surfing beach.
Hug Point State Recreation Site is a must visit at low tide. There's lot of history in the area but combining it with the Oregon Coast and it makes it a must see. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see it at low tide but I showed you what I could in the video.
From there 2 nights was spent at Cape Lookout State Park just outside Tillamook, Oregon. The area around here felt more natural and less touristy. Here is where we hit 2 spots I wanted to see while visiting the Oregon Coast. Tunnel Beach and Short Beach. I feel like the video sums it up well so i'll refer you to it.
I know I missed some spots and left some things out so you'll have to watch the video to find out the rest. If you're still reading this thanks for watching =)

Oregon, Explored - A Roulette Travel Documentary
For my first full length feature - I set out to the coast of Oregon for 13 days. We chose the off season - ready to battle the challenging rain and wind in exchange for having most of the locations to ourselves. As a hiking guide with my business Roulette-Travel.com, I'm no stranger to inclement weather - and so was ready for the challenge of whatever Oregon could throw at us.
Venturing into the Pacific Northwest for the very first time - I wasn't exactly sure what to expect - especially considering that I met my travel partner for the time - at baggage claim. We linked up through Instagram to split the costs of the trip as well as the burden of driving, and this documentary shows how it played out!
Dive in with Roulette Travel as we travel 1,700 miles through Oregon's stunning forests and coastline, visiting 18 waterfalls and 8 cities along the way. From the lush forests along the Columbia River Gorge and its scenic waterfalls, to the giants of the redwood groves and back to the bridges and megaliths of the coast - this adventure has it all.

OREGON COAST VAN LIFE ROAD TRIP: Things to do along Highway 101, Goonies Locations Astoria & Beaches
We are road tripping the Pacific Coast Highway / Highway 101 up the OREGON COAST in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van! The first day we explored some most stop places along Oregon's Coast like Cape Arago, Thor's Well, Devil's Punchbowl and Darlingtonia State Natural Site before stopping to camp on the ocean near Oregon's whale watching capital, Depoe Bay. The second day we visited Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock as well as the town of Astoria where we found several Goonies filming locations! We then crossed into Washington state to continue our journey from California to Washington along the coast.

Oregon: One Day in Florence, OR - Travel Vlog | Exploring the Oregon Coast - What to Do, See, & Eat
Welcome to Oregon (state 46/50)! For our time in the Beaver State (yes, you heard that right) we spent one day exploring the quaint coastal town of Florence. Situated just an hour west of the larger city of Eugene, Florence is home to miles of rolling sand dunes, beautiful beaches, and charming boutiques making it an incredible small-town getaway. We started our day at an outboard motor repair shop turned coffee shop before making our way 15 mins north of town to the Heceta Head Lighthouse. After taking in the beautiful coastal sites, we headed back into town for lunch, but not without making a short pit stop at the famous Sea Lion Caves. We spent the afternoon exploring the many boutique shops, enjoyed a rainy evening on Heceta Beach, and ended our day with a delicious dinner in a 1912 train station that was moved in pieces from the town of Mapleton (15 miles east of its current location) and reassembled in Old Town Florence and is now home to Waterfront Depot… A riverside restaurant offering “Elevated Coastal Cuisine”. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate enough for us to experience the incredible playground that the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area presents, we still had a wonderful time in this awesome little town!
