There's no word to explain the experience of approx 10 km ride from kuttikanam to camping site. Two times a month, why I took that decision. I am still thinking why I visited that place twice in a row. There's something that any word couldn't express.
Are you looking for a thrilling offroad adventure ride that connects tea plantations and ultimately at the top of a mountain, take a diversion near Ashley bus stop (9.5915299, 76.9684929) to Pallikunnu petta road which is 1.4km from Kuttikanam Marian College. Enroute to camping site we passed Ashley Bungalow which is a private property and requires permission for entry. Pallikunnu petta road converges to Hill top Pallikunnu road, this will lead us to #Madammakkulam and then to #Urumbikara. We need to take a diversion at (9.6005149, 76.9505965) which is approx 3.2km from Ashley bus stop as our destination is Mala Manda Mountain Camp. We are now at Peermade hill mountain ranges. This is the hard part, next 2-3 km will be a pure offroad track. Not even bikes are recommended from here to top of the mountain.
Leave the road, take the trails. —Pythagoras
No videos can explain the difficulty level of this track, it's somewhat steep and complete offroad entertainer. I was not an offroad enthusiast, once I realized how thrilling it is to understand the difficulty and overcoming the difficulties, now I am interested to be a offroad rider.
After all the hardwork we put on to take the vehicle to top of the peermade mountain trails as a first timer, the views and climate at top mesmerized everyone of us.
Sunrise & Sunset trekking across acres of forest trails is another main attraction. Like other places we are not asked to stay inside a boundary, we have enough place to trek all day long. Just choose a direction and start walking... Enjoy the nature...
