I flew on Nepal Airlines A330 from Dubai to Kathmandu as the beginning of my flying adventure in the Himalayas.
I met Captain Vijay Lama onboard, he is a local celebrity and YouTuber in Nepal. The flight time to Kathmandu was 4 hours across the Indian subcontinent. Shortly after takeoff, a beautiful sunrise appeared as we fly to the East. Nepal Airlines crew showed me their uniform and food offering on the flight.
The weather was good enroute. Before landing, many tall mountains appeared on the horizon. 8 of the world’s top 10 highest peaks are in Nepal. We can see Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Fishtail, Manaslu, and many tall mountain peaks. The landing into Kathmandu is very exciting with mountains and high terrain around. Watch the final approach from the cockpit.
Next week, I will share my experience flying to Mount Everest by helicopter. This is a once-a-lifetime experience.

But this week when the daughter preferred her marriage to be a simple but low-key affair, the celebrity-hungry media catapulted it as one of the events of 1997. Even before Priyanka Gandhi's marriage to a Delhi based industrialist Robert Vadra became a media event with attendant controversies. On February 18th, the day of the wedding the paparazzi did not want to miss any footage they can wrap. Some gathered outside the bridegroom's house at the Capitals New Friends Colony and others waited for the baraat to arrive at Janpath, the house of the Gandhis. The star guests of course were a big draw for the biggest photo opportunity came when the newlyweds met Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is an Indian politician, daughter of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. She also serves as Trustee of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. She is the granddaughter of Feroze and Indira Gandhi, and is a member of the wider Nehru-Gandhi family.
Robert Rajendra Vadra is an Indian businessman and husband of Priyanka Vadra. He is the son-in-law of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

As a tourist we should always be careful of touts and scammers when we travel abroad. Theae scammers will try to be nice, friendly but try to scam you with cheap tricks. I am lucky i have not gone through this scam till now. You may find many types of scammers like tuk tuk scammers, or touts which i think are everywhere in the world, its just as a tourist we need to be aware and find if something happening fishy around us...
This video is about me about taking a quick tour of Colombo city before leaving for Nuwara Eliya ( also called as little England) which is 180 kms away from Colombo situated in mountains. I went to galle face beach, budha temple, colombo white house and enjoyed beautiful Srilanka. I did this tour of the city in auto-rickshaw but it was with a twist, autodriver offered me to show major tourist attractions in 50 indian rupees only but it came with a surprise, was it a tourist trap or scam?
Weather in colombo was 26 degree C where as in Nuwara Eliya, its around 13 degree C which is 5 hour drive in bus from capital.
I spent some good time at the Galle face beach which is at the heart of the city, and enjoyed beautiful sightseeing around the city.
I started my journey towards Nuwara Eliya in a bus, since the scenic view makes the journey awesome!!

Racha lies in the mountain ridges of the High Caucasus range and is renowned for maintaining traditional Georgian values and customs. As we drove through small villages and mountain roads in this region, we were stunned by the natural beauty and sense of peace.
As the sun set, we headed back to our guesthouse. Earlier in the day, we were invited to join a meal prepared to us by our hosts, who had organized some local teenagers to perform traditional Georgian music and dances.

I FLEW ECONOMY ON THEIR AIRBUS A321 SERVICE FROM MUMBAI TO COLOMBO AND THEN CHANGED TO AN AIRBUS A330 FOR THE FLIGHT SEGMENT TO DHAKA.
