Walking the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain ???????? Camino del Norte Irun to Bilbao
Earlier this year, I walked part of the Camino del Norte, a trail that runs from the border with France in a town called Irun all the way to Santiago de Compostela. For 8 days I walked from Irun, along the coast through San Sebastian, Zarautz, Zumaia, Deba, and then into the moutanins in Markina, Guernica, and Lezama all the way to Bilbao.
It was a challenging week, but also a magical week. Walking the Camino de Santiago had a power that I wasn't expecting and one that I have found to be quite intoxicating, addictive even. I will definitely be back to follow more of those yellow arrows again one day.

El Camino - My Journey through Northern Spain
On the first september 2022 I began my 32 day long hike from Irun to Fisterra. In total 917km of walking. In that time I met plenty of nice people, learned some lessons and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
Since I love artistic expression like movie making I thought it might be a good opportunity to bring my camera to try to make a documentary out of it.
I learned a lot on the process and I'm looking forward to the next creative project.
Thanks for everyone I met on the camino that made this possible by sharing their perspectives.

CAMINO DE SANTIAGO: The Northern Way Irún to San Sebastian 25km
It was the best of times; it was the worst of times… See what it’s like to walk 25km in 1 day in “The Northern Way” section of the famous Camino de Santiago. Despite almost getting stranded in the dark at the end, this was hands-down one of the BEST DAYS of my life. Watch this video to see why.

The camino actually has several different routes, and I will be taking one of the routes that is quickly getting a reputation for being the most beautiful routes of the Camino. The Camino del Norte or the Northern Way. This hike is roughly +835 kilometers and I plan to complete it in 35 days.
