Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the border of the United States and Canada[1] while the American Falls lie entirely on the United States' side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the United States' side, separated from the American Falls by Luna Island.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 metres (160 ft). During peak daytime tourist hours, more than 168,000 m3 (six million cubic feet) of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute.[2] Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by flow rate.[3]
The falls are 27 kilometres (17 mi) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 121 kilometres (75 mi) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean.
Niagara Falls is famed both for its beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Balancing recreational, commercial, and industrial uses has been a challenge for the stewards of the falls since the 19th century.

Niagara Falls about 120 km southeast of Toronto, so about one hour and 15minutes drive from Toronto. You can also take Go-Train and Go-Bus from Toronto and from other cities to visit Niagara.
This video is 15 minutes long. It is really hard to make shorter video for a place like Niagara Falls, there are lots of beautiful places to visit here.
We will first drive through the Niagara Parkway and enjoy the scenic road with lots of gardens, parks and manicured lawns. There are many free parking spots at Niagara parkway. As we drive, we will stop at different parking spots to take pictures and videos.
Today we will show you different gardens, parks, landscapes, hydroelectric power station, International Control Dam, Skylon Tower and few other places. Then we will get closer to the main waterfalls.
Niagara Falls is located on the Niagara River, which drains water from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario. During the peak time, more than 2800 cubic meters per second of water drains from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario.
There are 3 waterfalls in Niagara. The largest of the three is Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls. Horseshoe waterfalls is in the border of Canada and the US and is the most powerful waterfall in North America.
The other two waterfalls are smaller than Horseshoe falls. One is called American Falls and another one is Bridal Veil Falls. Both of those waterfalls are in the United States.
Bridal Veil Falls is separated from Horseshoe Falls by Goat Island and from American Falls by Luna Island. Both islands are in the US.
Horseshoe Falls is about 57m high, and the height of the American Falls varies between 21m and 30m because of the giant boulders at the base.
Beside the scenic views you can also do lots of activities here in Niagara. Such as, Ride a Hornblower Niagara Cruise, Whirlpool Aero Car, Zipline towards the Falls, Journey Behind The Falls and many others.
You can also enjoy Great views of Niagara from Niagara Skywheel, Skylon Tower, Helicopter rides and also from some hotels.

Walking Niagara Falls in 4K - Clifton Hill & the Falls
A walk through the tourist district in Niagara Falls Canada along Clifton Hill to the American and Horseshoe Falls. In this video I walk east from the parking lot along Ferry Street which turns into Victoria Avenue, then head south down Clifton Hill which is the main tourist strip and walk along the American Falls over to the Horseshoe Falls. I park for free at a municipal parking at Gladstone Avenue and Ferry Street. It's about a 10 minute walk to Clifton Hill from there, but it for me it sure beats paying up to $20 to park in that area. This walk took place on Tuesday, July 23rd at around 4pm. It was 26 degrees celsius or about 79 Farenheit and the entire walk is just under 3 km.
