At the lowest temperature of -71°C, I'm stuck for 24 Hours on the World's Coldest and Deadly Kolyma Highway also known as Road of Bone. I did my best to Hitchhike and take the lift with any vehicle travelling from Yakutsk to Magadan for 2000 KM.

World's Most Dangerous Roads - Siberia
Every spring the freezing mist of lake Baikal signals the start of a dangerous voyage for the men of this village. A journey to the high plateau of Siberia to resupply Ren-deer hunters.
Dimitri is the only driver brave enough to take on this deadly journey he has to deliver 600 kilograms of food as quickly as possible. The winter has been so hard for the shepherds has being without fresh supplies for six months.
In a few days the melting snows will turn the road into an icy swamp. It's only 40 miles to the shepherd's camp but it's 40 miles that could take several weeks to cover. Ahead of them lies the deceptive white hell of Siberia.

Let it be said that in four weeks of being in Madeira and renting a car for three of those four weeks, this road was 'definitely' the most challenging. There may be others equally or more challenging, I don't know. I drive professionally for a living and am very good at what I do. As a general rule, I always err on the side of caution. But, there were no signs indicating the nature of the road before I turned onto it. In Madeira generally, there are very few roadside mirrors and guardrails are not everywhere. Feasts was 'navigating' and Waze directed us onto that road. I could've ignored Waze (as I often do in London), but from my perspective at the time, the road looked no more challenging than others we'd experienced. but, that's also a matter of perspective.
If you're not sure (and this applies to anywhere on the planet), always avoid roads that you're not totally sure about. If you're driving at night or heavy rain or something, stick to the larger roads, or if you're uncertain, simply stop and take no chances.
