SPAIN TO MOROCCO CROSSING BY FERRY: We're taking our campervan from Europe to Morocco!

The day is finally here! We have been enjoying our European Roadtrip by campervan so far but I admit we've been counting down the days to cross by ferry from Spain to Morocco with our campervan and settle in to Morocco for the winter!

We had a fantastic crossing (the most PERFECT day for it!) and a wonderful welcome from everyone we met in Morocco on our first day.

Thanks for watching! :)

The Ferry crossing from Algeciras (Spain)???????? in to Tangier (Morocco)???????? #algeciras #tangier #tangiers

We catched a ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med, using FRS ferries. A very scenic journey also senn some dolphins swimming on the side of the ferry. We arrived at Tangier Med port, from there we got a local bus all the way to Tangier centre, it was about an hour journey. We visited the Medina and the kasbah before leaving this city for the blue city of Chefchaouen.

Traveling on a Ferry Boat from Morocco To Spain

In today's video, my husband and I travel from Tangier, Morocco to Tarifa, Spain. The ferry boat ride to Spain was a lot of fun! We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in Tarifa too. That was until we felt a bit uncomfortable from some of the things we saw and experienced. Overall, the trip was a great experience and we can now say we've been to Spain by boat!

Morocco to Madrid by train & ferry

See for times, fares & tickets. This is a video guide to the journey from Tangier in Morocco to Madrid in Spain, via the FRS fast ferry from Tangier to Tarifa and Renfe's morning 'Altaria' train from Algeciras to Madrid Puerta de Atocha.

The video shows the famous Continental Hotel in Tangier, the ferry and train interiors and the scenery along the way. Note that the train segment is the same as that on the Gibraltar-Madrid video, so don't bother watching both train parts!

See for details of how you can arrange this journey yourself.

It's not expensive - we paid €32 each for the ferry tickets online at and €28 each for the Algeciras-Madrid train tickets at

You can take the overnight 'trainhotel' sleeper train to Paris and Eurostar to London, but on this occasion we took a train Madrid to Santander, stayed overnight and took Brittany Ferries to Portsmouth, see

SPAIN TO MOROCCO - EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In this video I will describe the different ways you can use to get from Spain to Morocco.

To subscribe to my channel click on the link below

$40 Airbnb credit Worldwide

Before you embark on this journey, make sure you passport is valid for six months beyond your entry into Morocco. If you have a passport that requires a visa to enter Morocco, make sure you get visa first.

I will talk about flight and ferries. I will also mention about the different ports people can use to get to Morocco.

To subscribe to my channel, click on the link below:

There are two ways one can use to get to Morocco. One is flight and the other one is ferries. Let me talk about ferries first. There are three main ports that people use to get to Morocco

Port Algeciras - Using this port you can hop on the ferry and get to Tangier Med
Port Tarifa - Using this port you can hop on the ferry and get to Tangier.
Gibraltar - Using this port you can hop on the ferry and get to Tangier Med.

Tangier Med is 45 mins to an hour away from main city Tangier. If you arrive from Algeciras or Gibraltar you arrive in Tangier Med. You would some sort of transportation to get to Tangier. You can take the bus or take the cab.
You can either spend an extra 45 mins to hour from Algeciras to get to Tarifa then take the ferry from there. If not, then you can take the cab or bus from Tangier Med to Tangier.
There is a hotel really close to Tangier port. I did a review of that hotel room (Hotel Continental). I am not affiliated with this hotel nor am I getting paid to do a review.

Gibraltar is actually a UK territory. Chances are if you need a visa to enter UK, you will need a visa to enter Gibraltar. There are some exceptions to this. Please check visa requirements before using port of Gibraltar.
There is passport control before entering Gibraltar. There might a slight delay depending on the number of people trying to enter Gibraltar.
You can use budget airline such as Ryan air to fly into Morocco. With ryan-air, if you miss your flight there are no refunds. You will pay extra to assign a seat to yourself, luggage and overhead compartment. Keep these fees in mind when booking your ticket.

???????? Morocco fast train Al Boraq Casablanca to Tangier #maroc #morocco

We experienced the Moroccan fast train. Al Boraq which goes from Casablanca to Tangier and it stops in Rabat and Kenitra. Train was very clean and organized. Both first and second class were good and worth the money. Comment if you have any questions.
