Morocco Road Trip | Essaouira, Casablanca & Rabat
Our road trip through Morocco has begun as we eave Marrakesh and make our way towards some of the coastal towns of this beautiful country.
First up we had a few more spots to see in Marrakesh with our first ever visit in the incredible Bahia Palace - honestly designing our future house after the Moroccan architects.
Our first stop is the coastal town of Essaouira, where we got to see the medina and a quick stop into the blue boat fishing village.
In the morning we made our way to Casablanca to see one of the most jaw dropping Mosques in the world - the Hassan II Mosque.
Final stop is the capital city of Rabat and it's unlike any town we have ever seen in Morocco so far.

In this video being a tourist, I drive from Kasba Al Amine Casablanca to Rabat the capital city of Morocco. The question is, can you drive in Morocco as a tourist? The answer is YES if you have international driver's license. Probably NO if you can't drive manual transmission as usual car in this country with a narrowed streets and the traffic rules of Moroccan driver's are absolutely different from your home country. That's why James Bond have movie of Casablanca, watch it and you will know what I meant. Hope you enjoy the video and give me thumbs up!

A North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. Marrakesh’s medina, a mazelike medieval quarter, offers entertainment in its Djemaa el-Fna square and souks (marketplaces) selling ceramics, jewelry and metal lanterns. The capital Rabat’s Kasbah of the Udayas is a 12th-century royal fort overlooking the water.

Rabat is the capital of Morocco and its main administrative and political center of the country, as well as the fourth imperial city.
It is a curious mixture of the historical tradition of the past and established modernity. it was founded by abd al-mumin in the 17th century and used its kasbah as a base to fight against the spanish.
Rabat is located on the Atlantic coast of the country.

I'll show you the not just the sights such as the Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca's Medina, Rick's Cafe (the recreation from the Casablanca movie) and Cathedral du Sacre Coeur, but also around the city - the architecture, the places, the districts.
It's a city that's not blessed with so many big tourist sights, but once you walk around and get to know it, it certainly has it's charms.

Casablanca ( Arabic: الدار البيضاء ) is the largest city of Morocco. Casablanca is located in the central-western part of Morocco bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Casablanca is the second largest city in the Maghreb region and the eighth-largest in the Arab world. It is Morocco's chief port and one of the largest financial centers in Africa.
International tourism in Casablanca is not as developed as it is in cities like Marrakesh. The Hassan II Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the world, is the city's main tourist attraction. Visitors also come to see the city's rich architectural heritage.
Popular sites for national tourism include shopping centers such as Morocco Mall, Anfa Place, the Marina Shopping Center, and the Tachfine Center. Additional sites include the Corniche and the beach of Ain Diab, and parks such as the Arab League Park or the Sindibad theme park.

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.
We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Rabat, Morocco's capital, rests along the shores of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. It's known for landmarks that speak to its Islamic and French-colonial heritage, including the Kasbah of the Udayas. This Berber-era royal fort is surrounded by formal French-designed gardens and overlooks the ocean. The city's iconic Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret, soars above the ruins of a mosque.
Salé is a city in northwestern Morocco, on the right bank of the Bou Regreg river, opposite the national capital Rabat, for which it serves as a commuter town. Founded in about 1030 by the Banu Ifran, it later became a haven for pirates in the 17th century as an independent republic before being incorporated into Alaouite Morocco.
