After spending a week in Nong Khiaw in northern Laos in November 2020, I got back on my bike to cycle further upstream to the village Muang Ngoy.
The sand road between Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoy was a bit of a challenge and so the tour took a little longer than expected. The road ended in Muang Ngoy and was rewarded with a very quiet and relaxed stay.
From here I hoped to take a boat up the Nam Ou River to the city Muang Khua in the Phongsali Province.

A la découverte du nord du Laos avec la visite de Nong Khiaw et de Muang Ngoi
A Nong Khiaw on à loger à Oing Oing Guesthouse pour moins de 4euros la nuit. C'était bien pour le prix.
On reccomande le restaurant indien de l'autre coté du pont mais uniquement le midi ! Trop de monde le soir le service prend trop de temps..
Pour aller sur Muang Ngoi il y à deux barques publique : une à 11h et une autre à 14h30. Sinon vous pouvez prendre une excursion à la journée également.
A Muang Ngoi c'est vraiment petit et je ne me rapelle plus du nom de la guesthouse mais c'était juste à coté de Ning Ning Resort.
Pas d'ATM sur place, faite attention. Si comme nous vous n'aviez pas prévu le coup vous pouvez retirer du cash auprès du Ning Ning Resort moyennent 6% de frais.

Laos - Nong Khiaw is a village north of the famous Luang Prabang. It's on the Nam Ou River and surrounded by steep mountains that make the landscape incredibly breathtaking.
Nong Khiaw was our last stop in Laos and the last place where we met our friends THE FLYING SARDINES.
For 5 months we followed each other through Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

I hike to the top of Pha Daeng Peak in Nong Khiaw, Laos to see the epic viewpoint at the top with my friend. This first stop on my Northern Laos travels turns out to be quite beautiful. Next stop, Muang Ngoi.

Nong Khiaw, Muang Ngoi, les villages authentiques du Laos
Noor s'en va au nord de Luang Prabang pour découvrir l'authenticité du Laos. A travers cette vidéo, elle nous fait découvrir les villages reculés. A Nong Khiaw elle fera une ascension de plus d'une heure avec ses nouveaux amis Chiara la milanaise et Jacob de Amsterdam. La visite de Muang Ngoi est moins athlétique mais réserve malgré tout de nouvelles rencontres. Lors d'une randonnée Noor nous fait découvrir des paysages extraordinaires avec cette fois encore plus de nouveaux amis.

Our last day in Nong Khiaw laos, and we've caught a slow boat to Muang Ngoi to explore the less travelled areas of Laos. In this video we trek for an hour into the mountains to a beautiful waterfall for lunch before returning to the river and kyakking downstream where we stop on a sand bank with young village boys harassing water buffalo
