I flew into Minsk at the beginning of October and was on one of the only two flights arriving on that day. I was eligible for a 30-day visa-free as long as I enter and exit the country through Minsk International airport. I booked a $19 room in a shared apartment with a window overlooking the train passed by.

The first 48 hours of my solo travel were merely observing and absorbing this new environment. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous or anxious about coming to Belarus. I sensed fear in me, from the news that I consumed while researching and the uncertainty that came along with it. While fear is important to keep us alert, I know that every country has different layers to unravel. Through my solo travel, I hope to showcase the other side of Belarus.

Belarus, officially the Republic of Belarus, formerly known by its Russian name Byelorussia or Belorussia, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Its capital and most populous city is Minsk. Over 40% of its 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) is forested. Its major economic sectors are service industries and manufacturing. Until the 20th century, different states at various times controlled the lands of modern-day Belarus, including the Principality of Polotsk (11th to 14th centuries), the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire.

Tips on How to Save Money and how to make money for your next dream travels
The first aspect is for you to figure out how much money you need to save which depends on where you planning to travel and how much fun you want to have in your travel. Whatever your plans may be: it’s best to have a plan in place.
Create a saving plan which will help you to accumulate money for travel
-Assessment of the cost of your trips
-Set financial goals
-Create a saving plan
-Implement your travel money goals
-Monitor and reassess of your travel money goals
Adhere to your saving plans for your next dream travels
-Saving money is slow but you can do it if you set a goal by
reducing your expenditures, selling some stuff, and earning some extra income.
Start a dedicated travel fund
-You can potentially create your travel savings bank account and save on a monthly or weekly basis even if it's just $10. Make it fun, habit, natural, painless, and Revel its growth over time.
Additional Tips
-Reduce your utility bills
The average utility bill in the US ranges from $90 to $140 a month. If you reduce 15% off your money by doing fewer loads of laundry and conserving energy, you could add around $225 to your savings, annually.
-Invest in Real Estate or other asset classes so that you can potentially have a passive income that allows you to travel.
-build an online business like Amazon FBA, dropshipping, blogging, or your own eCommerce store that will generate you enough money for your travels.
-Reduce the cost of your gym membership
-Save on clothing expenses
Finally, be financially efficient. Watching your friends go out overnight to buy expensive electronics, pricey cocktails, and new boots will make it a little hard to save. Plan your trips: by budgeting both time and money, you will have a wonderful experience in your travels.

About Minsk :

Minsk (Belarusian: Мінск, Russian: Минск) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Belarus. Its population is about two million people.

For many years after the demise of the Soviet Union in 1991, Minsk and Belarus, in general, had a reputation of a Soviet experience park. In the late 2010s, this stereotype started losing its relevance: Minsk offers reliable and affordable public transport, plentiful hotels, convenient banking, and shopping and dining that international tourists will find familiar. The quality and number of sightseeing opportunities have improved remarkably too. Still, the Soviet past - Stalinist architecture and socialist street art, old-style canteens and department stores - exists alongside the renovated churches, fancy restaurants, hipster joints and tourist sightseeing traps. This makes Minsk an attractive destination for those who look for new experiences.

I like to travel, explore the world and the elements. Look behind the scenes of cities and face the wind and freedom in the wild. I love what I see and feel when I'm on the road. And I would like to share this with those who are also close to the voice of the road and an active lifestyle.
