On May 11, 2013, Disney Princesses welcomed Merida from Pixar's Brave to officially become the 11th Disney Princess, along with Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White, Tiana, and Rapunzel. She was also joined by the first-ever appearance of her mother, Queen Elinor. The coronation ceremony took place in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom.

Princess Merida from the film Brave becomes the 11th Disney Princess, and was welcomed today to the royal fold. The ceremony begins with the introduction of the Disney princesses, and Merida riding in on her horse Angus. As a special bonus, the video ends with a lineup of the Disney princesses (including Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Princess Aurora and Rapunzel) up-close in the garden for photos! Gabby Douglas and her mom were also part of the event.

Queen Elinor, Merida's mom, also made a first-ever appearance.

On May 11, 2013 Merida from Pixar's Brave officially become the 11th Disney Princess in a royal coronation ceremony at the Magic Kingdom. She appeared via Liberty Square leading a Scottish processional on horseback, followed by flag bearers, dancers, and musicians. This video focuses on that processional with highlights from the coronation ceremony.

On October 2, 2011, Disney Princesses paraded toward Kensington Palace in London streets in front of thousands of onlookers. Once there, Rapunzel from Tangled was officially made the 10th Disney Princess, along with Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana. British teenager and rising star Shannon Saunders sang at the special ceremony.

On this day in 2013, Merida from Disney/Pixar’s Brave was officially crowned a Disney Princess. Her coronation ceremony was held in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Merida would become the eleventh Disney princess.

The ceremony was presided over by Gymnastics gold medalist Gabby Douglas, who was joined by Disney Princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana and Rapunzel.

Mowgli made a one-time special appearance at Disney's Animal Kingdom park, appearing both by himself and with Baloo and King Louie plus our dining review of the Yak and Yeti quick service location.
Mickey and Minnie are now appearing at the Adventurers Outpost in Animal Kingdom! They just moved here from Camp Minnie-Mickey, and rumors have been that this area will become an Avatar land eventually.
