For sure is the shortest takeoff I watched in Madeira Airport, but not sure if its the shortest ever, but was really nice to watch the small propeller plane taking off using no more than 60 meters of runway, of course with the help of 23knots headwind. After 1 minute in the air, the plane was still flying over the airport, then headed to the Canary Island.
The Aircraft is a Flight Design CTSW, registration EC-EU7

Fantastic mountain view landing of this beautiful TAP Express Embraer E195AR inbound from Lisbon landing at Madeira Airport (also known as Cristiano Ronaldo Airport). Looks like the plane is landing on an aircraft carrier because a third of Madeira runway is built over pillars.
This view is from Pico do Facho viewpoint, easy to access by car, very useful when planes are landing on runway 23, but also really nice to watch takeoffs from runway 05

Embraer Legacy 650 TAKEOFF in gusty winds at Madeira Airport.
The plane stayed overnight in Madeira and was the first movement on this stormy morning, on the 12th of October 2019.
On takeoff, just after the rotation, a gust of wind took the plane a bit sideways, but was not a problem for the small bird!

Madeira Airport - landings and takeoffs
The airport was once infamous for its short runway which, surrounded by high mountains and the ocean, made it a tricky landing for even the most experienced of pilots. Its innovative solution allowed Funchal to receive the Outstanding Structure Award in 2004 by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering, which aims at recognizing the most remarkable, innovative, creative or otherwise stimulating structure completed within the last few years. Nevertheless it is still considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world.
